골프코스를 조성할 폐염전 매립지의 지하수위에 따른 토양산도 및 전기전도도 변화

폐 염전 매립지를 활용한 골프코스 조성에 있어서 중요한 것은 고농도의 염이 식물 생육의 제한 요인으로 작용한다는 것이다. 높은 농도의 염류를 조절하는 것이 필수적이며, 건설 부지의 토양을 개량하기 위해서는 토양 및 지하수 내 염 농도에 대한 체계적인 지표를 필요로 한다. 이에 본 연구는 지하수위에 따른 pH 및 염 농도의 변화를 조사하였다. 이는 골프코스 조성 시 지반공사를 위한 기초자료가 될 뿐만 아니라 공사 후 식재지반의 효율적이고 합리적인 관리에도 유익한 자료가 될 것으로 사료된다. 대상지역의 토양 물리 화학성 분석 결과, 건설부지 내 토양의 대부분은 염분 함량이 높고 약 알칼리성의 식토(clay soil)로 분류되었다. 지하수 수위변화는 갈수기(6월 중 하순), 장마기(2006년 7월 초 중순), 장마후기(7월 말)로 측정 시기를 구분한 결과 1.3m, 3.3m 및 2.8m로 장마기 지하수위는 평균 지면높이 2.9m에 비해 약 0.4m 높은 것으로 측정되었다. 전기전도도의 변화를 측정한 결과 갈수기에는 전체 측정지역에서 $4.0dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$ 이상으로 측정되었고, 지역에 따라서 $20dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$ 이상으로 나타났다. 장마기 ECe 측정간은 $1.2{\sim}15.0dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$로 갈수기에 비해 상대적으로 낮은 EC값을 나타냈다. 따라서 폐 염전 매립지를 이용한 골프코스 조성에 있어 고농도의 염을 함유한 지하수와 식재지반과의 모세관 연결을 차단시키는 것이 중요하다. 이를 실현하기 위하여는 최고 지하수위 보다 높은 지점에 차단층(자갈층)을 포설한 후 식재층을 포설하여 토양 내 모세관 작용을 차단함으로써 염성분의 식재지반으로 이동을 차단한다면 염해에 의한 식물생육의 장애를 방지할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. High salt concentration is one of the most important limit factor on plant growth at a disused saltpan for golf course construction site. The control of salt in soil is definitely required and the monitoring of salt concentration in soil and ground water also required to amend soil physiochemical properties. This research was carried out to monitor the pH and salt concentration changes by the height of ground water. By the physiochemical analysis test, the soil contains a high salt concentration and classified as a slight alkaline clay soil. The height of ground water table changed to 1.3m, 3.3m and 2.8m at dry season(mid-late June, 2005), monsoon season(early-mid July) and after monsoon(late July), respectively. Compare to the average ground level of 2.9m, the ground water was over flooded about OAm at monsoon season. The electrical conductivity(ECe) was measured above $4.0dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$ over all areas and however, some areas showed over $20dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$. During a monsoon season, ECe was lowered to $1.2{\sim}15.0dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$, compared with those of the dry season. Therefore, the interception of the capillary connection between planting layer and ground water which contains high salt concentration should be adapted when golf courses are constructed on disused saltpan. The phytotoxicity caused by salt damage may be controled by the interception of capillary fringe of salt flow to the topsoil profile at the upper layer of the ground water table.
Fenitrothion과 Tebuconazole의 입상 활성탄 및 차콜에 의한 흡착과 용탈에 관한 연구

본 실험은 농약 흡착제(adsorbent)로서 입상 활성탄(활성탄 I 및 활성탄 II) 및 차콜의 사용가능성을 알아보기 위하여 흡착질(adsorbate)로 현재 골프장에서 사용하고 있는 살충제인 스미치온(Fenitrothion)과 살균제인 호리쿠어(Tebuconazole)를 대상으로 하였다. 흡착실험에서는 스미치온 및 호리쿠어의 처리 농도별 흡착에 미치는 영향과 흡착제의 입자크기가 흡착에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 흡착실험에서는 흡착제의 입자 크기가 작을수록 높은 흡착율을 보였으며, 활성탄이 차콜에 비하여 상대적으로 높은 흡착율을 나타내었다. 그러나 스미치온의 탈착(desorption)에 관한 실험에서는 활성탄 및 차콜 모두 1200mm 이상의 강우량에서도 스미치온이 용탈되지 않았으므로, 차콜 또한 활성탄과 함께 골프장 농약 흡착제로서의 이용 가능한 것으로 나타났다. Golf course community has always been concerned about water quality regarding to pesticide and fertilizer managements. This study conducted to investigate sorption and leaching behavior of common pesticides used for golf course in granular activated carbon I (GAC 1), granular activated carbon II(GAC II), and charcoal. We used batch study to investigate the influence of concentrations of Smithion and Folicur and particle sizes of GAC I, GAC II, and charcoal on sorption. Also, column study was used to investigate the leaching effect of Smithion in GAC I and charcoal. We found that sorption of Smithion and Folicur were higher in less $45{\mu}m$ of particle size for GAC I, GAC II, and charcoal compared to $1.7{\sim}2.0mm$ size, and the sorption of Smithion and Folicur in less $45{\mu}m$ of particle size ranged from 90 to 99%. In the column study, there was no difference in leaching effect between GAC I and charcoal. Overall, we found that charcoal might offer a cost effective adsorbent as a pesticides in leachate.
무렌각막궤양 환자에서 시행한 자가 귀구슬 연골막 이식술 1예

Purpose: To report the effectiveness of an autologous tragal perichondrium graft for an active Mooren's ulcer. Case summary: A 49-year-old male was referred to our clinic with Mooren's ulcer in his left eye. On the first visit, the ulcer involved the entire 360 degrees of the peripheral cornea and the visual acuity was 0.04. As the ulcer did not respond to medical treatment and progressed rapidly, the authors decided on surgical treatment. First, the involved cornea and nearby conjunctiva were removed and the defect was successfully reconstructed with autologous tragal perichondrium and allogenic limbal graft. The progression of corneal ulceration ceased after surgery and the patient's symptoms remarkably improved. Additionally, the graft showed rapid vascularization and engraftment within a week. However, as the opacity evolved and progressed to the central cornea, penetrating keratoplasty (PKP) was performed 5 months after the perichondrial graft. There was no rejection and corneal translucency was kept clear with low-dose steroid eye drops until 6 months after PKP without any sign of limbal deficiency. The patient's final best corrected visual acuity was 0.125. Conclusions: The present study shows that autologous tragal perichondrium graft is an effective method of treatment for active Mooren's ulcer by defect reconstruction and results in survival of the co-transplanted graft as well as maintaining corneal functions. 정상안압녹내장 환자에서 통합된 두 눈 시야의 결손 위치에 따른 삶의 질 비교

Purpose: To investigate the relationship between vision-related quality of life (QOL) and integrated binocular visual field (IVF) defect and the difference in QOL based on the location of visual field defects in Korean normal tension glaucoma (NTG) patients. Methods: Two hundred monocular visual fields from 100 patients diagnosed with normal tension glaucoma in at least one eye were integrated using the best location method, and the mean deviation (MD) of whole, superior, and inferior IVF was calculated. We analyzed the correlations between subscales of the National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire 25 (NEI VFQ-25) and each calculated MD using Spearman correlation. After adjusting for confounding factors of age, visual acuity of the better eye, number of medications, and education level, the impact of IVF loss on the composite score of the NEI VFQ-25 was evaluated using multivariate linear regression analysis. Results: The MDs of whole and inferior IVF were significantly associated with 7 of 12 NEI VFQ-25 subscales, and the superior IVF was associated with 3 subscales (p < 0.05). After adjusting confounding variables, the composite score of the NEI VFQ-25 showed significant correlation with whole, superior, and inferior IVF. The adjusted R2 and β coefficient of the regression line were highest in the whole IVF (Adjusted R2 = 0.451, β = 1.12), followed by the inferior and superior IVF (Adjusted R2 = 0.438, 0.395, β = 0.95, 0.85). Conclusions: The IVF of Korean NTG patients can effectively reflect patient QOL, and the inferior IVF was significantly associated with more subscales of NEI VFQ-25 than was the superior IVF. However, overall QOL of patients is thought to be determined by severity of visual field loss rather than its location.
