N/A The effect of various factors on the results of degassing of AC4C aluminum alloy melt by using rotary degasser were investigated. The difference between the effects of nitrogen gases of commercial pure and high purity grades on the degassing results was not significant. The optimum degassing condition was obtained. The effect of holding and degassing temperature was not significant, either. The result of degassing was deteriorated by the modification treatment of eutectic silicon, meanwhile improved by the grain refining. The effect of the latter was stronger than that of the former when the melt was treated simultaneously. The volume fractions of hydrogen porosity of the castings obtained from the molds with water moisture such as natural and green sand molds were much higher than those from the molds without that such as pep-set and CO₂molds.
Freight Forwarder의 역할과 물류경쟁력 강화를 위한 국제인프라 확충 방안

This paper discusses the role of Freight Forwarder and its specific characteristics of Korean firms in comparison with other major countries. The paper mainly focuses on the weakness and limitation of Korean Freight Forwarder firms amid newly changed international logistics environments. Based on these points, the paper suggests some policy implications of international huge projects on international logistics infrastructure surrounding Korean peninsula. The most frequently discussed projects so far are TSR, Asian Highway, Korea-Japan Undersea Tunnel and Korea-China Undersea Tunnel etc. The paper profoundly discusses the currently ongoing situation of the each project and expected economic effects of economy and logistics except TSR. The study emphasizes on multilateral correlation and cooperation between Korea, China and Japan for reorganization of North Asian economic structure. In addition, it is necessarily required of construction of the international infrastructure such as Asian Highway, Korea-Japan Undersea Tunnel and Korea-China Undersea Tunnel. This is much important for Korea and Korean Freight Forward Industry when we consider those three countries has more than 22% of global GDP. And thus the paper concludes the urgent proceeding of these projects in compliance with FTA among those three countries.

In the present work, a series of experiments have been performed on electro-hydrodynamic atomization of non-conducting liquid using a charge injection type nozzle. Effects of liquid flow rate, input voltage, and distance between the needle and the ground electrode (nozzle-embedded metal plate) have been examined. For fixed electrode distances, total and spray currents increase with increase of liquid flow rate and input voltage. When the distance between the needle and the ground electrode becomes closer, total, leakage and spray current increase, but the onset voltage for dielectric breakdown decreases. When the electric field strength of the liquid jet exceeds that for the air breakdown, a portion of the electric charges in the liquid jet is dissipated into the ambient air, and the charge density shows a limiting value. Atomization quality can be improved by increasing the flow rate because the higher charge density is achieved with the larger liquid velocity in addition to the enhanced aerodynamic effect.

대부분의 지리정보 시스템들은 유클리디안 공간을 기반으로 하고 있지만, 셀룰러 공간 역시 많은 지리정보 시스템 응용을 위한 기반 공간으로 사용될 수 있다. 셀룰러 공간에 존재하는 이동객체의 이동 형태를 분석하기 위해서는, 유클리디안 공간과 분명히 다른 특징을 갖는 셀룰러 공간상에 존재하는 이동객체들의 유사도에 대한 새로운 정의가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 셀룰러 공간에 존재하는 이동객체의 특성에 대해 살펴보았다. 이에 따라, 셀룰러 공간에 존재하는 궤적들 간의 유사도를 정의할 수 있는 2가지의 비교지수를 제시하고, 실험을 통해 제시한 비교 지수들 간의 차이를 분석하였다. While most GIS are based on Euclidean space, cellular space can be used as an alternative type of space for a large number of GIS applications. In order to analyze the pattern of moving objects in cellular space, we need new definitions of similarity between their trajectories since the trajectory in cellular space significantly differs from those in Euclidean space. In this paper, we study the properties of moving objects in cellular space. Based on these observations, we propose several similarity measures between trajectories in cellular space. We analyze the difference of the proposed measures by experiments.

Cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD) is a genetic skeletal condition with autosomal dominant inheritance. It is characterized by various skeletal and dental abnormalities, such as missing clavicles, hypoplastic maxilla, retained deciduous teeth, and supernumerary and impacted permanent teeth. In such patients forced eruption of impacted teeth tends to be challenging due to the limited osteogenesis. The present case illustrates the orthodontic and surgical management of a 15-year-old female patient with CCD accompanied by multiple supernumerary and impacted teeth using intermaxillary traction and bone-borne anchorage. After the surgical opening of the impacted teeth, a miniscrew-assisted rapid palatal expander (MARPE) was delivered in combination with a facemask for anteroposterior and transverse development of the maxilla. Following the maxillary expansion, a fixed appliance was bonded sequentially, first in the maxilla and then in the mandible for space regaining and eruption of the impacted teeth. Supernumerary teeth were removed successively during the treatment. The treatment was completed after 31 months with successful eruption and alignment of the impacted teeth, and the 3-year-follow-up showed satisfactory posttreatment stability. As shown in the present case, early diagnosis and timely orthodontic and surgical interventions are crucial to avoid further skeletal and dental complications and to facilitate aesthetic and functional rehabilitation in patients with CCD.
유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 신경망 은닉노드 수 결정에 관한 연구

In this paper, in order to design the most suitable neural network structure a method that decides hidden layer node number using the genetic algorithm is suggested. First of all, it constitutes parameters of neural network which are learning rate and momentum, weight and offset from input layer to hidden layer, and organize the weight and offset from hidden layer to output layer with the chromosome of the genetic. Also, this paper suggests a method that selects the genetic having the most suitable fitness value to the structure of neural network after evaluating the fitness value through the DEBP simulator into new chromosome that is created as applying the operation of genetic algorithm to the population.

심장 점액종 환자에 있어서 점액중의 색전에 의해 복부 대동맥이 폐쇄되는 경우는 아주 드문 합병증으로 지금까지 보고된 바가 드물다. 현재까지 심장 점액중의 병태 생리 및 자연경과에 대해서는 잘 알려져 있옴에도 불구하고 점액중의 분리 에 의한 혈관 색전증은 예상치 못한 심각한 합병증을 초래 할 수 있다. 본 증례는 심장 점액종 색전에 의해 복부 대동맥폐쇄가 발생한 환자에서 수술적 색전 제거술 및 점액중 절제술로 치료한 경험을 보고 하고자 한다.
