최근 한인사회 내에는 이민역사상 최초로 두 개의 지역사회복지센터 건립이 추진되고 있다. 또한 미주 아름다운재단과 2세들이 중심이 되어 창립한 한미지역사회재단(Korean American Community Foundation)등을 중심으로 건전한 기부문화를 형성을 위한 노력이 활발히 진행되고 있으며, 조기교육센터와 청년학교, 지역사회클리닉 등 전문사회복지 및 권익옹호단체들이 속속 생겨나고 있다.
치매의 진단, 예방 및 완화를 위한 스마트폰용 게임 애플리케이션 개발

치매는 한번 발병하면 치유가 어려운 병이지만 조기에 발견하면 치료효과를 극대화 할 수 있다.그러므로 본 연구에 서는 스마트폰과 생체센서를 이용하여 치매를 조기에 진단 및 관리 할 수 있는 앱을 개발하였다.그리고 치매진단의 결과에 따라 치매를 사전에 예방하고 치매를 지연 및 완화 할 수 있는 기능성 게임을 개발하여 적용함으로써 치매의 진단,예방 및 완화 등의 기능을 한 번에 제공하는 통합 치매관리 도구를 제공하였다.특히 제안한 치매완화용 게임은 단순한 화살표 조작인 아닌 양팔을 이용한 공간감각과 평형감각을 요구하므로,치매의 치료 효과가 배가된다.만약 제안하는 치매 관리용 스마트폰용 앱을 이용하여 꾸준히 치매를 진단하고 예방하며,게임을 통해 완화시킨다면 치매로 인한 사회적 손실을 최소화 할 수 있을 것이다. Dementia once occurred is known to be mostly irreversible but can be treated only if it is detected early; especially vascular Dementia. Thus, in this paper we have developed Dementia diagnosis and care application through inter-working between biometric sensors and smart phone. With developing serious game for the demented elderly, we proposed ons-stop solution for Dementia; smart-phone application with diagnosis, prevention and mitigation of Dementia. Since the proposed game for mitigating Dementia requires sense of space and balance using both arms instead of operating simple arrow button, a treatment effect for Dementia will be doubled. If we tried to forestall, ease and cure Dementia with the proposed application. the social losses from Dementia would be minimized as a result.

In Korea, in the past, in a development-oriented society during the high growth period, the field of facilities necessary for residents' daily lives has expanded due to an increase in income levels. The government has established a legal and administrative system for researching living service provision facilities and expanding infrastructure in residential areas and various government policies and investments have been made from the perspective of urban regeneration. In recent years, the importance of basic living infrastructure is expanding as 'n minute city' has become a global topic as a paradigm for time city planning(Chrono-Urbanism). In 2023, Gwangju Metropolitan City is expected to supply basic living infrastructure as it proposes a plan to create a network city for 30 minutes of living in the station area of urban railway and a 10-minute daily Activity Area in Gwangju through the establishment of the 2040 Gwangju Comprehensive City Plan. In addition, it is expected to form a new subway station area, develop a new residential complex, and strengthen the connection with the living area by starting construction for the opening of Urban Railroad Line 2. However, currently, Gwangju Metropolitan City lacks policies and step-by-step and integrated plans related to basic living infrastructure, and even basic current status analysis has not been conducted. Therefore, this study aims to identify the distribution characteristics of Gwangju Metropolitan City's basic living infrastructure (village unit facilities) in terms of accessibility and equity and suggest implications to consider when establishing related plans in the future.
A Numerical Study for Optimum Design of Dust Separator Screen Based on Coanda Effect

There is a need to study dust separator screens with good drainage efficiency while effectively filtering suspended solids and other contaminants entering the intake pumping station, the drainage pumping station and the mediation pumping station, the cooling water inlet of the power plant, and the like. In this paper, Numerical studies were conducted for the optimal design of the dust separator screen using the Coanda effect. The shape of the dust separator screen is important, such as the right curvature radius R₁ at the top of the dust separator screen and the left curvature radius R₂ at the top, h is the height difference and shape between the screen and the accelerating plate, and θ is the inclination angle of the screen. A total of 4 shape factors were set and the effects of Coanda and drainage performance of each element were compared and analyzed, the optimum length and size of each shape element were derived by classifying the shape elements into direct and indirect influences. Finally, it was possible to effectively filter foreign matter by narrowing the screen spacing, and the drainage performance was analyzed and optimized through numerical studies of dust separator screen.
