Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to examine the physical and psychological benefits afforded by a 6-week yoga program for breast cancer survivors. Methods: Eligible participants (per-screened) were to the intervention group 17. All participants completed pre- and post-testing assessments immediately before and after the Mindfulness yoga program. Statistical analyses were paired samples t-test by SPSS 19.0. Results: The Mindfulness yoga program participants(female) included primarily breast cancer survivors, on average 46.5 months post-diagnosis. Significant differences between pre and post at post-intervention were seen only in psychosocial(i.e. QOL; Role function, Appetite loss, Constipation and PSQI) Finally, there were also significant improvements in the program participants from pre- to post-intervention on physical variables(Weight, BMI). Conclusion: The mindfulness yoga program has a positive effect on Quality of life in Breast cancer survivors. Future research might attempt to include control group and a longer program duration.
중ㆍ고교 운동선수들의 자아개념과 내외통제신념이 진로의식성숙에 미치는 영향

The study was to investigate relationship between career maturity and selected psycho' social variables in Middle and High School Athletes. It specifically discusses that career maturity is highly associated with not only psychological variables but also social variables. The study conducted on the subjects 382 maleㆍfemale Middle and high school athletes in Seoul, and is conducted questionnaire by CMI(Career Maturity Inventory) of Crites(1973) and Internal-External Control Scale of lung Eun JuㆍSon lin Hun(I98D, Self concept Inventory of lung Won Sik(1968), A locus of Control Scale for Children of Nowicki and Strickland(1972) used as tools. The statistical method used for the analysis of this study Pearson's correlation, t-test, scheffe' test with SPSS/PC+10.0 Version for Windows. The results of this study are as Follows; First, there was significant difference between self-concept and career maturity. Second, internal Control belief was showed significantly higher score than external control belief in the relationship between career maturity and Internal-External control. Third, high school athletes higher score than Middle school in the relationship between career maturity and grades. Fourth, there was no significant difference in career maturity scores between male and female students of middle school. Fifth, the relationship between socio-economic status and career maturity was showed significant difference in the middle school athletes and no significant difference in the high athletes.
마음챙김 심리복지와 하타요가 교양 강좌가 서울지역 여대생의 정서 및 긍정심리자본에 미치는 영향

Purpose: Today, mindfulness become popular in medicine, psychology, physical education and so on. Mindfulness-based course began to be used in the educational field``s formal curriculum. Many researches show that mindfulness-based class increase a lot of psychological qualities. Positive psychological capital is the state of personal positive psychological development and contributes to individual productivity. There are some studies, proving mindfulness-based interventions influenced on subfactors of positive psychological capital. This study tried to test whether mindfulness-based course could change the student``s positive psychological capital. Methods: 164 participants were divided into 3 groups. Fifty-five were assigned to mindfulness based subjects as experiment group, 54 participants to yoga class, and 55 to general cultural subject as control group. During a semester, three classes were proceeded and some scales, including positive psychological capital, positive and negative emotions, and mindfulness were administered at pretest and posttest. Results: Significant differences were observed in all variables. Positive psychological capital, positive emotion, and mindfulness in mindfulness and yoga classes increased significantly and negative emotion in both classes decreased significantly, compared to control group. Conclusion: As a result, mindfulness-based class and yoga-based class could increase positive psychological capital and it is promising that mindfulness-based class can be included in curriculum.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether regular exercise could affect mental health positively in adult. It was hypothized that: there is significant difference in mental health (anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and life-satisfaction) between regular exercises according to exercise time, frequence, and duration. 2,000 adult men and women above 20 years old, who living in Seoul, were employed as subjects in Seoul. Data were also collected by making phone calls at the sports club in the same region. 17'21 out of 1743 answeres were utilized as data. The reliabity of instruments which was used in this study was as follow: Self-rating Anxiety Scale for Zung(197l) a=.8561, Self-rating Depression Scale for Zung & Durham(1965) a=.8061, Self-Esteem Seal for Rosenberg(1965) a=.7465, Life Satisfaction Index-Well being for Bigot(1974) a=.7741. Data were analyzed by Three Way ANOVA according to the purpose of the study. Tukey HSD(was used as follow-up test. The result showed that: subjects who engaged in exercise more than 5 years got low anxiety and depression level and high self-esteem leve. There was not significant difference in mental herth factors according to exercise frequenct and time. Continuance of exercise, therefore, affected mental health, but frequency and time did not affect mental health.
교양체육 수강과목에 따른 여대생의 심리적 행복과 생활만족감의 변화

The purpose of this study is to see the change of psychological well-being and life satisfaction by taking the physical class, observing from the beginning of the semester to the end of the semester. The object of the study is 201 female university students in S women's university in Seoul which runs 6 physical education classes. The test scales are cognitive¬affective state scale and life satisfaction scale, and repeated ANOVA and stepwise regression analysis are used as well. As a result, taking the physical education class gives positive changes on psychological well-being, such as self-realization, hedonic enjoyment, feeling of competence, and feeling of flow. Also, life satisfaction is changed more positively at the end of the semester than the beginning of the semester. We analyzed the effect of the psychological well-being on life satisfaction at the end of the semester of each course. The result says Dance sport and Yoga give self-realization, Bowling gives feeling of competence and self-realization, and Swimming brings hedonic enjoyment.
마음챙김 요가 프로그램이 여대생의 자아기능, 신체와 마음의 인식에 미치는 효과

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of mindful yoga and meditation on ego-function, ego-resiliency, physical sense, breath, mental set. It was sampled 52 the university's women(mindful group 17, standard group 16, control group 193) by the purposive sampling method, and analysed by ANCOVA. The 5% level of significant was used as the critical level. On the basis of the results analysed, the conclusion were drawn as followings: First, there was statistical significant between treatment group versus non-treatment control group in ego-resiliency, but no significant in self-esteem. Second, there was statistical significant between groups in breath, but no significant in physical sense, mental set. Third, there was no statistical significant between mindful yoga group versus asana yoga group among treatment groups. Implications and limitations were discussed.
마음챙김 명상(MBSR)이 체육전공 여대생의 알아차림 수준, 스트레스 증상 및 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향

In order to explore the effect of K-MBSR(Korean Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) on the levels of mindfulness, stress symptoms and psychological well-being of college women majoring in physical education, this study made purposive sampling with total 85 college women majoring in physical education at S Women's University located in Seoul City, who consisted of 81 mindfulness meditation experimental group members and 84 non-treatment control group members. The data were processed by making a paired sample t-test and ANCOVA(analysis of covariance) for testing the difference between prior and posterior data. The level of statistical significance was p<.05. The study showed that after participating in the mindfulness meditation program the meditation group got statistically significantly lower scores compared to the control group in all the factors such as tension, aggressiveness, embodiment, anger, depression, fatigue and frustration, which are the lower scales of stress responsiveness. It also showed that after participating in the program the meditation group got statistically significantly higher scores in the factors of act of perception, observation, nonautomatism and skill except the factor of non-judgment among the factors of the levels of mindfulness. Finally, it showed that after participating in the program the meditation group got statistically significantly higher scores in both cognitive and emotional factors of psychological well-being. Thus, it was made clear that mindfulness meditation had a positive effect, that is, psychotherapeutic effect in various domains including physical, emotional, cognitive and self-controlling aspects.
