System identification(SI) techniques using dynamic responses and behaviors of structural systems become an outstanding issue of researchers. In this study the wavelet transformation is used to detect damage of structural system instead of fourier transformation. The damage detection methods of wavelet transformation and fourier transformation are compared.

In order to detect the damage of strictures, a visual inspection, a nondestructive evaluation meth-od(NDE) and a specific loading test were employed. However, obscurities for visual inspection and inaccessible members raise difficulty in evaluating structure condition. For these reasons, detection of location and quantification of the damage in structures via structural response have been one of the very important topics in system identification research. The main objective of this project is to develope a methodologies for the damage identification via static responses of the members damaged by durability.

Piloti structure is a building designed to open the ground floor as a basic principle of modern architecture. However, it is considered urgent to prepare seismic retrofit plans for the irregular torsion problem of the Piloti building through the recent Pohang earthquake. Therefore, this study aims to provide the basic data for the selection of the Piloti building seismic retrofitting method by comparing the dynamic characteristics of each method through the small shaking table experiment using the seismic retrofitting method of the pilotty building.
철골 끼움가새골조로 보강된 학교건물의 내진성능평가를 위한 비선형 해석 모델에 관한 연구

기존 RC부재와 철골보강재 사이를 앵커로 일체화한 보강된 부재에 대한 내진성능평가를 위하여 SRC 부재의 힌지속성이 필요하지만 아직 국내·외적으로 정립되어 있지 않고 있으므로 현재로서는 기존 RC부재와 철골 보강재에 대한 성능평가를 별도로 수행하고 있다. 또한 철골 끼움가새골조 보강의 경우 기존 RC기둥에서 인장력을 전부 저항하도록 규정하여 실무에서는 철골 프레임을 제외한 가새만 모델링하여 내진성능평가를 수헹하고 있다. 그러나 이 경우 강성감소로 인한 보강 부근의 기존 부재에 발생하는 하중감소는 매우 클 것으로 사료되며 이는 보강부위 기초보강 유무 검토에도 영향을 미칠 것으로 판단된다.

The purpose of this study is to provide the damage detection method using wavelet transformation. The damage location index through the mode shape of damaged structure is formulated theoretically and applied to numerical analysis model of MATLAB. The shacking table test on reduced 3 story shear building is performed and the dynamic response signal is wavelet transformed. The result of damage detection using wavelet transformed signal is compared to that of non wavelet transformed signal to verify the applicability of the wavelet transformation in damage detection.
