This report analyzes the effects of catharsis that teenagers in a soccer team feel after being involved in the game on psychological, physical, and social ways. The participants are male students who have been involved in a soccer team for more than 3 years and in order to understand how catharsis relates to the value of sports as naturally and lively as they are, phenomenological approach was taken. Data collection was conducted by individual depth interviews, participant observations, and field notes analysis. By reading the transcript of the collected data, it was possible to find out important facts about how the participants feel about catharsis through soccer. The report`s results were derived through meaning categorization and meaning conceptualization by finding the true meaning of the statements that the participants made and sorting it into certain categories. Derived conclusions were after divided into three categories which are the psychological side, social side, and physical side. Firstly for the psychological side, the participants felt ``Purification`` which is the expression of inner feelings such as the excretion and purification·fear and compassion·proxy contentment, ``Refinedness`` which is the phrase used when a person meets his or her own inner problems such as the imitation·jealousy and envy·acceptance and superiority, ``Recognition`` which is felt through understanding the knowledge about soccer and soccer itself in a way such as recognition clarification·relaxation of emotion. Secondly, teenagers felt catharsis in social ways by expressing negative energies ·changing and reinforcing personality and social-harmonizing. Third, teenagers knew that catharsis through soccer has an effect on their physical sides but weren`t understanding the precise usage and path. In conclusion, the participants were recognizing the comradeship and fellowship earned through catharsis` physical, psychological, and social effects (purification, recognition, refinedness, social-harmonizing, changes and reinforcements in personality) very important, and it was possible to find out that catharsis` physical, psychological and social experience was not an individual response but a mutual response.
