The ventilation performance of a Velo-typed greenhouse at high temperature atmosphere condition is investigated by means of computational simulations using a commercial software. The solar radiation is simulated using the Discrete Ordinates model, and the conduction through the covering material of the greenhouse and soil are calculated. The numerical scheme is validated by comparing the experimental result for the Almeria greenhouse. The natural ventilation performance through windows of the Velo-typed greenhouse is evaluated at free-stream velocity 0 m/s and 2.5 m/s. It is shown that the natural ventilation caused by the temperature difference is more efficient through windows on the ceiling than those on the sides.

The ASHRAE Simplified Energy Analysis Procedure using the Modified Bin Method(SEAP) is compared with the hourly calculation program, HASP/ACLD. The HASP/ACLD model office building with VAV system in Seoul is used as the basis for comparison. And the parameters considered are glass to wall area ratio and internal heat gains. The results show that SEAP predictions of annual energy use agree with HASP/ACLD predictions within 5% deviation. But there is a large difference in cooling and heating energy as glass to wall area ratio is varied. The SEAP cooling energy is 65-85% and the heating energy is 104-160% of the HASP/ACLD results. This is probably due to the solar heat gain data. the data related to the SEAP must be developed prior to use it.

Propeller shall have high efficiency and improved aerodynamic characteristics to get the thrust to fly at high speed for the Regional turboprop aircraft. That is way Clark-Y airfoil which is used to conventional turboprop aircraft propeller is selected as a blade airfoil. Adkins method is used for aerodynamic design and performance analysis with respect to the propeller design point. Adkins method is based on the vortex-blade element theory which design the propeller to satisfy the condition for minimum energy loss. propeller geometry is generated by varying chord length and pitch angle at design point of Regional turboprop aircraft. The propeller design results indicate that is evaluated to be properly constructed, through analysis of propeller aerodynamic characteristics using the Meshless method and MRF, SM method.

The remarkable progress of electronics and radio communications technology has made our life abundant. On the other hand, the countermeasure of EMC becomes more important socially according to the increased use of electromagnetic waves. It had been required that the absorbing ability of an electromagnetic wave absorber is more than 20 dB, the bandwidth of which is require through 30 MHz to 1,000 MHz for satisfying the international standard about an anechoic chamber for EMI/EMS measurement. From November of 1998, however, the CISPR11 has accepted the extended frequency band from 30MHz to 18 GHz in the bandwidth of EMI measurement. In this paper, we propose the cutting corn-shaped type satisfying the above requirments and carried out broadband design using the equivalent material constants method. Moreover, we have fabricated it and compared its characteristics with simulated one.
