트랜스미디어 스토리텔링에서의 다중 암시된 저자 - 소설과 영화 <Twilight> 그리고 스핀오프 『Midnight Sun』을 중심으로

본 연구는 ‘암시된 저자(implied author)’ 이론에 초점을 맞추고, 소설 『The Twilight Saga: Twilight』와 그 영화 버전 <트와 일라잇 Twilight>(Hardwicke, 2008), 그리고 스핀오프(spin off) 작품 『Twilight Saga: Midnight Sun』 소설을 분석함으로써 이 이론의 적용과 서사에서의 역할을 탐구한다. 본 논문은 우선 암시된 저자의 관점에서 작품의 의미와 의도를 탐구하는 방법 을 분석한다. 그리고, 암시된 저자가 소설과 영화라는 다른 매체에서 어떻게 다르게 표현되는지, 그리고 이러한 차이가 서사 구조와 주제 표현에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 분석한다. 또한, 『Twilight』와 『Midnight Sun』에서 서사적 관점을 비교함으로써, 암시된 저자가 캐릭터, 줄거리, 세계관 형성 등에 있어서의 역할을 하는 방법을 밝힌다. 이외에도, 본 연구는 암시된 저자가 트랜스미디어의 개작과 시대 문화 변화를 반영하는 데 있어 역할을 논의한다. This study focuses on the theory of the implied author, exploring its application and role in narrative through an analysis of the novel The Twilight Saga: Twilight, its film adaptation Twilight, and the spin off novel Twilight Saga: Midnight Sun. First, the paper examines how the implied author's perspective can be used to explore meaning and intention within the works. Next, the paper analyzes the differences in how the implied author is represented across different mediums and how these differences affect the narrative structure and theme expression. Furthermore, by comparing the narrative perspectives and styles in Twilight and Midnight Sun, the study reveals the critical role of the implied author in shaping the characters, plot, and worldview. Additionally, this research discusses the role of the implied author in transmedia adaptations and in reflecting changes in cultural epochs.

King Yeongjo succeeded to the throne in an unstable political situation, and in order to strengthen the legitimacy of the throne, he used the logic of ‘Filial Piety and Fraternity (孝悌)’ to carry out the project of enshrining Sukbin Choi (淑嬪崔氏). However, due to the presence of his mother, Queen Inwon, hasty worship could lead to discord. In response, King Yeongjo devised the use of “Posthumous epithet (諡號)” as a way to honor his biological mother [sachin 私親] without exceeding her status as queen. Sukbin Choi’s first Posthumous epithet came during the implementation of the The Gung·Won-je (宮園制). Although it was unprecedented for the King’s concubines to be honored, the process was smooth due to the gradual veneration that began with the maintenance of shrines and mausoleums. With one successful Sangsihoui (上諡號儀), King Yeongjo created a New Posthumous epithet (加上諡號) and and a series of new Sangsihoui were held. In the New Posthumous epithet process, King Yeongjo fo cused on the ‘relationship’ surrounding Sukbin, seeking to strengthen Sukbin’s veneration and thus his legitimacy. As a concubine of King Sukjong, Sukbin Choi was elevated to the status of King Sukjong’s queen consort as part of King Yeongjo’s lifelong campaign of sachin worship, and became an important precedent for the king’s birth mother.
