Parametric investigation of the polyol process for the preparation of carbon supported Pt nano particles as catalysts for fuel cells was carried out. It was found that the concentration of glycolate anion, which is a function of pH, plays an important role in controlling Pt particle size and loading on carbon. It was observed that Pt loading decreased with increasing alkalinity of the solution. As evidenced by zeta potential measurement, this was mainly due to poor adsorption or repulsive forces between the metal colloids and the supports. In order to modify the conventional polyol process, the effect of the gas purging conditions on the characteristics of Pt/C was examined. By the optimization of the gas environment during the reaction, it was possible to obtain high loading of 39.5wt% with a 2.8 nm size of Pt particle. From the single cell test, it was found that operating in ambient O_{2} at 70oC can deliver high performance of more than 0.6 V at 1.44 A cm^{-2}.

Objective: The objective of this study is to propose a cognitive model that can explain and predict when voluntary task switching occurs in multitasking environments. Background: Voluntary task switching in multitasking is prevalent in general work environments, but can cause cognitive loss and affect worker productivity. Therefore, it is essential to improve understanding of voluntary task switching and to quantitatively predict when voluntary task switching occurs. Method: As a result of the literature review, it can be summarized that voluntary task switching is mainly caused by an imbalance between task difficulty and cognitive ability. Based on this, the ACT-R cognitive model of voluntary task switching is developed and applied to an illustrative multi-task including the memory game and the visual search task. To validate the model in this study, an experiment is conducted on the number of voluntary task switching according to the task difficulty level, and the results of the model are compared with human data. Results: The results of both the model and the subject show that the task difficulty level affects the frequency of voluntary task switching. In addition, according to the goodness-of-fit measures, it can be seen that the model reflects the trend consistency and exact match of the human data well. Conclusion: As the results, the proposed model can provide a relatively accurate representation of when voluntary task switching is performed. The proposed model exhibits insights in predicting when the self-interruption occurs in multitasking environments and demonstrates the manner in which ACT-R facilitates accounts of voluntary task switching. Application: The cognitive model in this study can be used as a practical tool to evaluate aid systems in multitasking.
성인 범죄집단의 청소년 비행집단 구성원에 대한 포섭억제 방안에 관한 연구

성인 조직범죄집단은 조직유지와 활발한 조직활동을 위해 청소년 비행집단의 구성원을 포섭하려한다. 그리고 청소년 비행집단의 구성원은 다양한 이유로 인하여 조직범죄집단에 유입된다. 이는 당해 비행청소년은 물론 그 주변의 청소년들에게도 악영향을 미친다. 이러한 양 집단 간의 연계를 통한 유입현상을 통제하기 위하여 우선 청소년을 대상으로 비행행위에 대한 예방목적의 프로그램 활용은 물론 보다 효과적인 제도의 운용을 위한 구체적 논의가 필요하다. 이에 대해 청소년들이 활동하고 서로를 접하는 공간인 학교와 지역사회에서의 통제는 필수적이며 이러한 이유로 경찰과의 협력을 통한 예방활동에 주목할 필요가 있다.
