Masonry structures should be treated as discontinuum structure with mechanical behavior which is different from continuum structures. The discontinuous structures are represented as the assemblage of discrete blocks. The discontinuities should be treated as boundary conditions between blocks, and large displacements along discontinuities and rotations of blocks should be allowed. To solve these problems, this study presents the discrete element method. This study presents modelling technique and structural analysis method of masonry stone pagoda in Gameunsa temple site.

On AC railway systems the neutral sections are installed in front of substations and sectioning posts in order to avoid crash between power that have differing phases. In case railway vehicles pass through these neutral sections it is necessary for them to switch to coasting driving by notch-off. This may reduce speed of the vehicles resulting lowered train operation efficiency. The usage of automatic power switching systems makes it possible to pass neutral sections at notch-on enhancing operation efficiency so that it is appropriate for high-speed railway applications. This paper analyzed inrush current of main transformer that installed on the train while passing through the neutral section using the simulator.

The deformation and crack of stone pagoda can be caused by the specific changes of soil loss of stylobate. This phenomenon influences the safety and long-term conservation of stone pagoda structure. Therefore, we check the structural effect caused in stone pagoda structure by analyzing mechanically a specific soil loss and carry out structural analysis and structural modelling of stone pagoda structure that considers the soil loss of stylobate by discrete element method.
모니터링 장치를 이용한 절연구간 통과시스템에 대한 파형 분석

교류급전방식에서 전기철도가 절연구간을 통과할 때는 차량의 주회로 차단기를 Notch -Off하여 이 구간을 타행 운전방식으로 통과한다. 이로 인해 열차의 운행 효율성이 저감된다. 이러한 이유 때문에 정지형 반도체 소자를 이용한 절연구간 통과 시스템을 개발의 필요성이 대두되어 현재 시스템 개발 중에 있으며, 실증 시험을 위해 대불선 용포리 SSP에 Thyristor 소자를 이용한 전원절체 개폐장치와 열차검지장치, 그리고 시스템의 상태를 확인할 수 있는 모니터링장치를 설치하여 시스템 개발을 위한 시험을 진행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 절연구간 자동통과 현장시험을 위해 제작된 모니터링장치를 이용하여 실제 열차를 투입하여 절연구간 자동 전원절체 통과시험에서 열차운전 방식에 따라 변화하는 전류와 전압 파형을 측정하였다. 전기철도 교류급전시스템에 적용 가능한 절연구간 자동통과 시스템 개발의 필요성이 대두되어 현재 개발 중에 있다. 절연구간 자동통과 시스템은 전기철도가 절연구간을 무정전으로 이 구간을 notch-on 상태로 통과할 수 있는 시스템으로 아직 실용화에 성공한 국내외 사례는 없다. 본 시스템 개발이 성공을 이룬다면 열차 운행의 효율성을 증가시키고 절연구간 급전시스템을 안정화시킬 수 있을 것이다. 시스템 개발의 핵심인 전원절체 개폐기는 전력용 반도체 소자인 Thyristor를 사용하여 제작하였으며, 고장 및 유지보수를 위해 병렬로 VCB개폐기가 설치되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 절연구간 전원절체시 나타나는 이상현상에 대한 문제점을 해결하고자 EL-8200대 전기기관차 2차측의 견인시스템, 보전전원, 그리고 배터리반 전류 및 전압을 측정하여 차량이 절연구간 자동통과 시스템에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이 목적이다. Since necessity of automatic changeover system for railroad AC power feeding system has been emphasized, the system is currently being developed. Automatic changeover system is a system which ensures electric railway passing through neutral section in notch-on state and uninterrupted, yet there is no successful practical application case in both domestic and foreign researches. When this system development success, efficiency of railroad operation will be increased and neutral section power feeding system will be stabilized. Thyristors (electric semiconductor device) are used in the changeover switch, the key equipment of the system development, and also VCB switches are installed in parallel for ensuring efficiency of maintenance. The purpose of this paper is analysis vehicles’ effect on automatic changeover system by measuring current of EL-8200 line traction part, and current & voltage of auxiliary power supply and battery part, in order to resolve abnormal problems on the electric railway catenary system.

Generally, stone pagoda structures have been constructed by stacking the masonry stone members. The problem about the safety and stability of masonry stone structure is due to the structural behavior of discontinuum surface between the contact stones rather than the failure by the lack of material strength. The masonry stone structure has the big difference with the analysis method of continuum structure as discontinuum structure. Therefore, the masonry stone should be treated as discontinuum structure that can express mechanical behavior of discontinuum surface between the contact stones. The friction between contact stones of discontinuum structure is a very important factor that affects the behavior of discontinuum surface. Especially, the roughness of discontinuum surface affects the friction. Therefore, we carry out the direct shear test of discontinuum surface for the evaluation of structural behavior according to roughness of the discontinuum surface of stone pagoda and study the characteristics of discontinuum surface according to various roughness. Also, we apply the characteristics of discontinuum surface to stone pagoda model. Finally, we estimate the structural behavior of stone pagoda according to the friction of discontinuum surface.
