This study were carried out to investigate the effect of mixture ratio and caustic soaking treatment of KOCC and KONP for strength improvement of corrugating medium. Test results with caustic soaking treatment have improved dewatering resistance and strength(ring crush), and decreased ash content. The drainage of stock after soaking has decreased from 20% to 40%, but the freeness had shown a high tendency to increase mixture ratio of KONP. The ash of stock after soaking decreased 20% more than the untreated KOCC and KONP to be not related to mixture ratio of KOCC. In the case of ring crush, it was above 12kgf·㎡/g after the mixture ratio of 7:3, and had shown a tendency to increase above 28% and to increase 50% in comparison with the untreated KOCC in the mixture ratio of 5:5.
