속립성 결핵이 의심되는 환자에서 비전형적 눈 결핵 및 안구 간섭 단층 촬영 소견 1예

Purpose: To report clinical features and optical coherence tomographic findings of presumed atypical ocular tuberculosis associated with tuberculosis lymphadenitis and encephalomeningitis. Case summary: A 28-year-old female with lymphadenitis in the axillary area presented with a fever and headache of a one week duration. CSF study and MRI findings implied tuberculosis encephalomeningitis, and presumed tuberculosis uveitis manifested with visual disturbance after five days. Ocular symptoms were aggravated and showed anterior iridocyclitis, vitritis, macular edema, and multifocal retinitis with miliary granuloma that was distinct from choroiditis or typical tuberculosis granuloma. After the patient received anti-tuberculosis medication and systemic corticosteroids, significant improvements in visual acuity, ocular findings and OCT results were observed. Conclusions: Ocular tuberculosis can present with various clinical findings, and caution should be taken so as not to misdiagnose based on these characteristics. In the present case, anti-tuberculosis medication and systemic steroids resulted in the resolution of inflammation. In such cases, monitoring the posterior pole lesion via OCT may be helpful in determining improvement. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2011;52(1):107-111

Purpose: To describe a case of Wyburn-Mason Syndrome, which is characterized by arteriovenous malformations in the central nervous system and the retina. Case summary: A 13-year-old girl who underwent neurosurgical intervention for intraventricular hemorrhage was referred to our ophthalmic clinic because brain angiogram and MRI finding revealed arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) that extended from the orbit and optic chiasm along the optic pathway. Fundus and fluorescein angiography of the left eye showed marked dilation and tortuosity of the retinal vessels. Fluorescein angiographic findings showed rapid filling of all vessels and no dye leakage. Conclusions: Retinal racemose hemangioma should be considered for Wyburn-Mason syndrome, and the finding of retinal AVMs should warrant cerebral imaging studies including MRI and angiography. The purpose of this study is to suggest a method to improve the current building construction change order process, which has been a major cause of inefficiency and cost increases. Due to the non-standardized nature of design and construction projects, it is inevitable that design changes will occur frequently. Through a case study, the reasons for design changes and the elements of such changes were derived. Using the suggested assessment techniques, an objective and reasonable approach to design changes can be realized to support the design and construction process.

The purpose of this study is to clarify design purposes required by project characteristics, sizes, and order methods for “Design Adjustment Examples” that incurred in construction projects, this study proposes an example case that applies an evaluation method called “Multiple Weighted Value” which reflects review of similar cases of design adjustment process, alternative design adjustment creation, and expert review and opinions while considering participating entities’ influences. The purpose is to apply the cases to assess “A Study on Process Improvement of the Building Design Change Support by Case Studies” applicability, which can generate objective results that reflect participating entities’ intentions accurately to select the final alternative for design adjustment through the “Improvement Process for Building Design Change Support” which is the result of the study paper “A Research on Actual Design Adjustment Improvement Process.”
원유저장탱크 방류벽의 콘크리트 바닥재 불침투성 세부기준 연구

The bottom of dikes must be kept impermeable to control hazardous chemicals spilled from storage tanks. Currently, insufficient related chemical control laws lead to a possibility to spread through the bottom. Generally, due to the high cost of installation and periodical maintenance, many businesses prefer to install the bottom with general concrete. But, since the impermeability of concrete is dependent on the kind of materials and chemical reaction, all concrete cannot be considered as impermeable material. Thus, it is necessary to make the installation standards of the dike bottom clear in order to avoid the argument over the impermeability and prevent the chemical accident. This study has suggested the standards of impermeable concrete by conducting 7-day exposure test to crude oil with the pilot dikes. The results have showed that the standards have the better impermeable performance compared with the germany standard, which have been penetrated at the maximum penetration depth of 1.9 cm. This study is expected to contribute to both the risk reduction of penetrating into the bottom and the cost reduction of spending to make the bottom of dikes impermeable.
