리튬 이온전지의 안전성을 구현하기 위한 난연성 전해액의 설계

전기자동차, 하이브리드 및 플러그 인 전기자동차 등과 같은 대용량 전력공급을 요하는 영역으로의 리튬 이온전지의 응용을 위해서는 우수한 전지 신뢰성 및 안전성이 요구되어진다. 이러한 요구에 부응하기 위해서는 전지 구성 성분들은 대전류가 흐르는 조건 하에서 불가피하게 발생되는 열에 대한 저항성이 있어야 한다. 그러나 리튬 염을 해리하는 기능을 갖는 카보네이트계 유기 용매는 휘발성이 높고, 가연성 물질이기 때문에 오용 조건에서 전지의 발화, 폭발 등과 같은 열폭주 현상을 억제하지 못하고 연료로 작용하기 때문에 전지의 안전성에 문제를 일으킬 수 있다. 최근 전지의 안전성을 향상시키기 수단으로 난연성 소재에 대한 관심도가 크게 증가하고 있다. 본 총설에서는 난연성 전해액을 설계하기 위한 최근 연구내용을 소개하고자 한다. 액체 전해액의 난연화는 유기용매 일부를 난연성 소재로 대체하는 것에 의해 이루어질 수 있으며 난연제, 불소화 유기용매 및 이온성 액체를 사용하는 접근방법을 통해 전지의 고안전성을 실현할 수 있을 것이다. The development of lithium-ion battery (LIB) technologies and their application in the field of large-scale power sources, such as electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid EVs, and plug-in EVs require enhanced reliability and superior safety. The main components of LIBs should withstand to the inevitable heating of batteries during high current flow. Carbonate solvents that contribute to the dissociation of lithium salts are volatile and potentially combustible and can lead to the thermal runaway of batteries at any abuse conditions. Recently, an interest in nonflammable materials is greatly growing as a means for improving battery safety. In this review paper, novel approaches are described for designing highly safe electrolytes in detail. Non-flammability of liquid electrolytes and battery safety can be achieved by replacing flammable organic solvents with thermally resistive materials such as flame-retardants, fluorinated organic solvents, and ionic liquids.
로봇 보조 복강경 방광적출술 및 요로전환술의 초기 경험

Purpose: Robot assisted laparoscopic radical cystectomy (RARC) is one of the options for minimal invasive treatment of muscle invasive bladder cancer or uncontrolled non muscle invasive bladder cancer. We detailed our operative techniques and initial experiences of robot assisted laparoscopic radical cystectomy with urinary diversion. Materials and Methods: From April 2010 to December 2011, 10 consecutive patients with bladder cancer who were performed robot assisted laparoscopic radical cystectomy with urinary diversion were enrolled. Patient’s demographics, intra-, perioperative data and oncologic outcome were analyzed. Urinary diversions including 9 ileal conduit and 1 ileal orthotopic neobladder were underwent extracoporeally. Results: Mean patient age was 65.1 years. The mean body mass index was 22.7kg/m². The mean operation time was 588.1min including 319.5min for robot assisted laparoscopic cystectomy (RARC), 165.0min for extracorporeal urinary diversion and 53.1min for lymph node dissection. The mean estimated blood loss was 244.7ml. The mean number of retrieved lymph node was 17.2. The pathologic report showed transitional cell carcinoma in all cases and adenocarcinoma of prostate in 2 male patients. No intra-operative complication was occurred. Conclusions: Robot assisted laparoscopic radical cystectomy could minimize surgery related complications without jeopardizing oncologic outcome. RARC may be effective treatment option for advanced bladder cancer.
클러치 댐퍼용 원심 진자 흡진기의 비틀림 진동 절연 성능 평가

This paper presents the torsional vibration isolation performance evaluation of a centrifugal pendulum absorbers (CPAs) that has a continuously varying resonance frequencies proportional to engine firing (excitation) order. CPAs are commonly used to suppress torsional vibrations in rotating machinery and internal combustion engines. In this study, they are employed on the current spring type torsional damper inside a torque converter of automotive vehicle. To evaluate the effectiveness of designed resonance tuning order, the torsional vibration transmissibility based on torque measurements with respect to different engine firing orders is experimentally measured with a lower-inertia dynamometer. The torsional vibration transmissibility with respect to different frequencies with engine order of 2 is also evaluated. It has been demonstrated that the significant vibration reduction over operational frequency range of interest can be achieved by attaching simple pendulums. Future research direction includes the study on theoretical analysis, improved design of pendulum etc.

The current waveform was analysed to monitor the weld quality in real time process. The acquired current waveform was discretely analysed for the top and bottom limits of peaks as well as the pulse frequency measurement. Fast Fourier Transform was implemented in the program to monitor the pulse frequency in real time. The developed algorithm or program was tested for the validation purpose. The cross-section of weld profile was compared to the current waveform profile to correlate the monitored signal and the actual parts. Pulse frequency was also used as auxiliary tool for the quality monitoring. Based on the results, it was possible to evaluate the quality of welding by measure the current waveform profile and frequency measurement.
