As a radiant heating panel gets more popularity, the need to study on evaluation method of thermal output of the panel also becomes increasing. Generally, the chamber using method is applied to evaluate the thermal output through an experiment. However, the chamber using method cannot be used due to the limitations on space and cost. EN1264 addresses the test equipment to evaluate the thermal output by using simpler experimental setup, and introduces application method in detail. However, there is not enough description of control methods to meet the experiment condition, and it is difficult to meet this when practical experiment. Therefore, this paper analysed the control error factors of when the thermal output experiment is performed. When EN1264 method is applied to evaluate the thermal output of the radiant floor heating panel, the error factor which is caused by the characteristic of test equipment cannot be removed by the control methods of chamber using method. In addition, the error factor can be occurred at the element which is located out of the control system. These possible error factors are defined as the characteristic error factors.

Simultaneous heating and cooling systems (SHCs) can be effectively applied in large-scale, multi-purpose, or multi-ethnic buildings where both heating and cooling are required. This study is aimed at the development of a dynamic simulation model of an SHC with thermal storage tanks using a radiant system. To achieve this, the mechanism of each component of the entire system focusing on the terminal device was analyzed, a flowchart based on the mechanism was created, and dynamic simulation modeling was developed. Finally, a simulation was conducted on a building in which simultaneous heating and cooling occurred using the developed simulation model. The simulation model proposed in this study can be used for system applications in buildings where simultaneous heating and cooling occurs, and can also be used as a basic simulation model for various studies, such as system design and operation techniques.

The purpose of this study was to develop the simultaneous heating and cooling system with thermal storage tanks (SHCwT) considering energy efficiency and to analyze the load removal mechanism of the system. The factors related to energy efficiency were analyzed and the composition of the system to enhance the energy efficiency was suggested for developing the SHCwT. Load removal mechanism was analyzed when the system is in stable condition and verified by comparing with dynamic simulation. The results of this study were as follows; the radiant heating and cooling system is proper as terminal system of the simultaneous heating and cooling system to enhance the energy efficiency. Although there are discrepancy in amount of removed load between the load removal mechanism and dynamic simulation because of difference condition, the load removal aspect was almost same. Therefore, The load removal mechanism is able to applied in system planning stage.

In Korea, architects determine materials and thickness of the floor heating panel and engineers determine a spacing of the pipe in the panel. But this cannot predict the thermal performances of the panel and can cause a waste of energy. And for remodeling of an aged apartment, the ceiling height and weight of floor heating panel must be carefully decided. The objective of this study is to establish the application process that can make architects and engineers predict the thermal performance of the panel and consider the characteristics of remodeling building in design stage. To achieve this objective, valuation items related to thermal performances and characteristics of the building are determined first. Secondly to determine the calculation method of thermal performances, the radiant floor heating panel are classified. And the application process are established by ordering the valuation items and by using calculation methods.
서버룸이 있는 사무실 건물에 동시 냉난방 시스템 적용을 통한 동계 에너지 절약에 관한 연구

In an office building with a server room, heating load occurs in the office space and a cooling load occurs in the server room in winter. This study is aimed to estimate the energy saving potential when a simultaneous heating and cooling system is applied to this office buildings. For this purpose, the energy required for the individual heating and cooling system and the simultaneous heating and cooling system were compared for a month in which the heating and cooling loads occurred similarly. The result shows that simultaneous heating and cooling systems saved 84% energy compared to individual systems when the heating and cooling loads occurs similar.

In this study, a system of an experimental setup was investigated for HVAC system on laboratory experiment scale particularly. For the process for experimental setup, elements needed for the objective of experiment were analysed and the elements of the system were obtained. At this point, a study of system setup method to determine the experimental setup concerning relations among factors of the system was performed for which is applied it to a performance assesment. Through this study, it is systematized to classify ‘real system’ and ‘virtual system’ according to significance of the realization of experiment and justifies the way to determine the optimization method of performance assesment.
