The purpose of the study was to analyze fireproof characteristics followed by changes of thickness in fireproof gypsum board for spalling prevention when already-constructed high strength concrete structure was fired. The results of the study were as follows. In basic characteristics of concrete, both liquidity and air content satisfied the scope of the target. Compressive strength of 28 days in age expressed high-strength scope of more than 80㎫. In fireproof characteristics, regardless of thickness of fireproof gypsum board, serious destructive spalling took place after three-hour fireproof test. Therefore, the study could see that it didn’t satisfy regulations of the highest temperature and the average temperature prescribed by fireproof certification standard of Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs.

This study investigates the effect of curing condition on autogeneous shrinkage of high strength mortar specimens incorporating fly ash (FA). Test results showed that increasing FA contents increased the workability of fresh concrete, but slightly decreased the compressive strength of hardened concrete at 28 days. In addition, increasing FA contents and curing temperature decreased the autogeneous shrinkage of the concretes.
