중등학교 야구코치의 코칭전문성 형성과정 검토 : 코치교육의 역할과 필요성 탐색

야구는 우리나라에서 많은 팬을 확보하고 있는 대표적 국민스포츠로 자리를 잡았다. 하지만 여전히 우리나라 야구 코치들의 전문성은 그 중요성만큼 인정을 받지 못하고 있다. 코치들이 열악한 대우와 함께 그들의 전문성을 발휘하지 못한 채 살아가는 이유 중 하나는 바로 올바른 코치 교육의 부재 때문 이라고 할 수 있다. 때문에 본 연구의 목적은 중등학교 야구코치들이 경험한 코칭전문성의 형성과정을 살펴보고, 현장의 코 치들이 필요로 하는 대안적 코치교육의 필요성을 주장하고자 함에 있으며, 연구 과정 을 거쳐 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중등학교 야구 코치들의 코칭 전문성은 전적 으로 과거 선수시절 경험에 의해 형성되고 있었다. 둘째, 중등학교 야구 코치들의 코 칭전문성 형성과정은 양적 성장에 지나치게 경도되고, 현장경험에 의존하며, 체계적이 고 지속적인 교육 프로그램이 없다는 문제점을 지니고 있었다. 셋째, 중등학교 야구 코치들을 위한 대안적 방안으로 코치들을 위해 체계적으로 전문성을 갖출 수 있는 교 육프로그램이 요구되고 있었다. 연구를 진행하면서 현재 엘리트 야구계는 코치들의 편 협한 코칭활동에 익숙해져 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 코칭은 한 선수의 삶을 보다 윤 택하고 건강할 수 있도록 매 순간 가다듬고 돌봐야 하는 교육적 활동이기 때문에, 코 치들이 교육적 활동으로써의 코칭을 보다 제대로 해내고 이해 할 수 있도록 체계적이 고 지속적인 코치교육프로그램의 개발 및 적용과 함께, 이를 개발하고 실천하기 위한 체육전문인들의 학문적, 행정적, 실천적 차원의 노력이 요구된다고 할 수 있다. Baseball has settled as a representative national sport that has developed an extensive range of fans in Korea. However, the importance of professionalism for Korean elite sports coaches has not been recognized because of triumphalism, systemic issues, related policies and coaching education models that simply followed the previous educational framework. Coaches who are employed in Korea’s elite sport fields demonstrate their unprofessionalism by their poor treatment of athletes. Such situations are caused by the absence of appropriate coaching education. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the forming process of coaching professionalism, specifically those experienced by secondary school baseball coaches, and suggest the necessity of alternative coaching education in this field. Through this research process, researchers would like to discuss the role of coaching education programs, and the necessity for better coaching education for secondary school baseball coaches in Korea. The results of this study are as follows. First, a secondary school baseball coach’s professionalism is formed by their field experience when they were playing as an athlete. Second, the forming process of coaching professionalism is inclined towards the quantitative development of athletes. Relying so much on their personal field experiences, coaches lack an educational program that guarantees structured and continuous education. Third, alternative education programs that can systematically promote coaching professionalism are highly recommended. Through this research, it is shown that elite baseball programs have become accustomed to distorted coaching without questioning. Above all else, coaching is an educational activity that can help make an athletes' life richer and healthier, leading coaches to a better understanding of the benefits of upright coaching. This study definitely emphasizes how the Korean elite baseball coaching field needs greater academic, administrative, and practical efforts to promote the mature development of the athletes in these programs.

EXT3NS 파일 시스템을 위한 버퍼 캐시의 설계 및 구현

EXT3NS is a special-purpose file system for large scale multimedia streaming servers. It is built on top of streaming acceleration hardware device called Network-Storage card. The EXT3NS file system significantly improves streaming performance by eliminating memory-to-memory copy operations, i.e. sending video/audio from disk directly to network interface with no main memory buffering. In this paper, we design and implement a buffer cache mechanism, called PMEMCACHE, for EXT3NS file system. We also propose a buffer cache replacement method called ONS for the buffer cache mechanism. The ONS algorithm outperforms other existing buffer replacement algorithms in distributed multimedia streaming environment. In EXT3NS with PMEMCACHE, operation is 33MB/sec and random read operation is 2.4MB/sec. Also, the buffer replacement ONS algorithm shows better performance by 600KB/sec than other buffer cache replacement policies. As a result PMEMCACHE and an ONS can greatly improve the performance of multimedia steaming server which should supportmultiple client requests at the same time. EXT3NS 파일 시스템은 Network-Storage Card(NS 카드)라는 전용 하드웨어를 기반으로 하는 멀티미디어 스트리밍 서버를 위한 파일 시스템이다. EXT3NS는 NS 카드 상의 PCI memory(PMEM)를 이용, 스트리밍 시 디스크에 있는 데이터를 메인 메모리를 거치지 않고 바로 네트워크 카드로 내보냄으로써 스트리밍 서버의 성능을 향상시킨다. 본 논문에서는 NS 카드에 있는 PMEM을 기반으로 한 버퍼 캐시를 추가 설계, 구현하고, 이 버퍼 캐시가 EXT3NS 파일 시스템을 채용한 서버의 멀티미디어 스트리밍의 성능을 개선시킬 수 있음을 보인다. 또한, 제안된 버퍼 캐시 상에서 다수의 동시 사용자를 지원하는 멀티 미디어 스트리 밍 서버를 위한 버퍼 캐시 교체 정책인 Old New Section(ONS) 교체 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 OSN 교체 기법은 멀티미디어 스트리밍 환경에서 기존의 교체 정책들 보다 좋은 성능을 보인다. 성능 평가 결과, 다시 읽기동작과 무작위 읽기 동작에서 기존의 EXT3NS 파일 시스템 보다 PMEM에 캐시를 사용한 EXT3NS가 각각 평균 33MB/sec, 2.4MB/sec의 성능이 향상 되었다. 또한, 다시 읽기 동작의 경우 기존의 Least Frequently Used(LFU) 교체 정 책을 사용한 경우보다 ONS 교체 정책을 사용한 경우가 약 600KB/sec의 성능 증가를 보인다. 이러한 결과는 동시에 여러명의 사용자 요구를 처리해야 하는 대용량 멀티 미디어 스트리밍 서버에서 보다 효과적인 읽기 동작을 처리할 수 있음을 나타낸다.

인터넷 상의 가변 비트율 비디오 스트리밍을 위한 적응형 전송 기법

본 논문에서는 인터넷 상의 분산 비디오 스트리밍 서비스에서 저장된 가변 비트율 비디오의 전송에 대해 고려한다. 스트리밍 서비스에서 전송 중에 대역폭 재조정 프로토콜에 따라 대역폭 할당이 줄게 되면 흔히 재생의 끊김 현상이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 극복할 수 있는 가변 비트율 비디오에 대한 전송 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법에서는 저장된 가변 비트율 비디오에 대한 사전 정보를 사용하여 재생이 끊김없이 이루어질 수 있도록 전송한다. 또한 제안된 전송 기법 하에서의 수용 제어를 위해 버퍼-대역폭 관계를 근사적으로 계산할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. In this paper, we consider the transmission or variable bit rate (VBR) stored video for the distributed video streaming service over Internet. In streaming service, users often suffer from the discontinuity in playback due to the decrease in bandwidth during transmission according to bandwidth renegotiation protocol. We propose a novel transmission technique to overcome this problem for stored variable bit rate video. This scheme uses a priori information of stored VBR video to continue streaming without playback discontinuity. In addition, an approximation scheme for the buffer-bandwidth relation is proposed in order to facilitate the admission control under the proposed scheme.
