본 논문은 마그네슘 함량이 매우 높은 특징을 갖는 볼리비아 우유니호 염수로부터 리튬을 회수하는 공정의 설계에 필요한 기초 자료를 얻을 목적으로 수행되었으며, 농축된 용액에 수산화칼슘의 첨가하여 수산화마그네슘을 침전시키는 반응에 있어서 용존 이온의 농도에 미치는 반응온도, 반응시간, pH 등 제 인자들의 영향을 조사하였다. This study was conducted to obtain the basic data for designing the lithium recovery process from the "salar de Uyuni" in Bolivia. For this study, the mock brine which has the similar chemical composition with the brine of "salar de Uyuni" was prepared, and the effects of reaction factors such as temperature, time, pH and so forth on the precitation reaction of magnesium hydroxide were investigated.
동(銅) 표면(表面)의 화학부식(腐蝕)에 의한 식각(蝕刻) 패턴 연구

In order to observe the pattern forming of copper plate and chemical corrosion reaction, a study on the effect of the process parameters on the formation of micro-pattern by a photochemical etching of copper plate was carried out. The results are as follows : 1) Etching rate increases as the concentration of etchant increases under the regular condition of the temperature by the increasing of diffusion rate to surface. 2) Etching rate increases as the temperature of etchant increases by the fast acting of the material delivery of diffusion to surface under the regular condition of concentration. 3) It was found that etching speed increases as the material delivery of convection rising increased when the aeration speed of etchant increases. This result was from the fact acted by the material delivery of convection rising rather than material delivery of diffusion to the surface.
국산(國産) 무연탄(無煙炭)과 폐플라스틱을 사용(使用)하는 합금철용(合金鐵用) 코크스의 제조(製造)에 관한 연구(硏究)

The aim of this study is to produce cokes which can be used for the production of ferroalloy, for this purpose, domestic anthracite mixed with plastic was sintered at various condition. The combustion and physical properties of anthracite and plastic, coal separation, and the influence of factors on the strength of coke were investigated. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The three kinds of anthracite from the Samcheok region contained 25 to 30% ash of $100{\mu}m$ over size, and have the caloric value of 5,205 cal/g(TaeAn), 4,893 cal/g(JangSung), 4,873cal/g(KyongDong). 2. The recommendable conditions for heavy-fluid separation of the Samcheok coal are to set the specific gravity of heavy fluid to 2.4 and control the size of coal to $35{\sim}140mesh$. 3. It is concluded that phenolic resin powder, liquefied phenolic resin, SAN, and melamine resin can be used as a binder for the anthracite cokes, from the thermal analysis of various plastics. Especially, the liquefied phenolic resin was considered as the most suitable binder as it would simplify the process. 본 연구는 플라스틱과 무연탄을 혼합한 다음 소결하여 합금철용으로 사용 가능한 코크스를 얻기 위하여 수행 되었으며, 무연탄과 플라스틱의 연소 특성 및 물성을 조사하고, 선탄기초실험을 행하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 삼척지역의 3종 무연탄 시료에 대한 물성 측정 결과 각 무연탄 시료에는 $100{\mu}m$ 이상의 회분들이 $25{\sim}30%$ 정도 함유되어 있으며 발열량은 태안시료 5,205cal/g, 장성시료 4,893cal/g, 경동시료 4,873cal/g 이었다. 2. 선탄 기초 실험 결과 3종의 국산 무연탄을 중액선별로 선탄하는 경우에 중액의 비중이 2.4이고 석탄의 입도는 $35{\sim}140mesh$로 조절하는 것이 적당할 것으로 나타났다. 3. 플라스틱의 열분해 특성상 코크스용 점결제로 사용이 가능한 플라스틱은 분말 페놀수지, 액상 페놀수지, SAN, 멜라민수지 등 이며, 공정의 단순화를 위해서는 액상 페놀수지가 가장 적합한 것으로 판단되었다.

미국(美國)의 도시생활(都市生活)쓰레기 재활용(再活用) 현황(現況)과 전망(展望)

이 논문은 1960년부터 2009년까지의 미국의 생활쓰레기 재활용과 관련된 자료를 종합하여 정리한 것이다. 이 논문에서 언급되는 자료들은 주로 물질수지를 통하여 물질흐름을 파악하는 방법으로 다루어 졌기 때문에 어느 한 지역이 아닌 전국 단위의 MSW 흐름을 이해하는데 도움이 될 것으로 생각한다. 생활쓰레기에 포함된 수많은 물질들 중에서 그 발생량이 많은 종이와 판지, 유리, 금속류, 폐플라스틱, 음식물쓰레기, 정원손질쓰레기의 발생과 재활용 현황을 보다 자세히 다루었다. This study describes the national municipal solid waste stream of the United States based on data collected and published by EPA for 1960 through 2009. This paper characterizes the municipal solid waste stream of the nation as a whole, and can be useful for understanding the nationwide stream of America. Among the various materials contained in MSW, recycling status of the major materials of paper and paperboard, glass, metals, plastics, food scraps and yard trimmings are discussed somewhat more minutely.

본 연구는 날로 그 발생량이 증가하고 있는 산성광산배수의 처리과정에서 발생하는 슬러지를 재활용하기 위하여 수행되었으며, 슬러지의 주성분인 수산화철[$Fe(OH)_3$]이 중금속에 대한 흡착 능력이 우수한 점을 이용하여 슬러지를 광해방지용 중금속흡착제의 제조 원료로 활용하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 먼저 슬러지의 물성파악을 위하여 슬러지의 화학조성, 광물조성, 입도, 형상 등을 조사하였고 슬러지 첨가량, 시간, pH, 중금속 농도, 소결온도에 따른 중금속 종별 흡착능을 조사 검토하였다. This study was carried out for the purpose of obtaining basic data to utilize the AMD sludge as sorbent for heavy metal ions. The sludge from the treatment process of Acid Mine Drainage mainly consists of fine iron hydroxide or iron oxide hydrate and calcite, and the fine iron hydroxide or iron oxide hydrate has a property of adsorbing heavy metal ions. In this study, we investigated the physical property of the AMD sludge like as mineral composition, particle size and shape and chemical composition and also investigated the influence of dosage of sludge, adsorbing time, pH, initial concentration and sintering temperature on the adsorption of heavy metal ions.
