        가상현실을 이용한 가스플랜트의 VR Monitoring System 개발

        VR(Virtual reality) technologies have given engineers the ability to design, test, and evaluate engineering systems in a virtual environment. The virtual plant is the highlight of the application of the VR technology to plant engineering. Plant design, maintenance, control, management, operation are integrated in the virtual plant. The VR monitoring system including the concept of the virtual plant is developed to replace a current control room that has number of gages and warning lamps in two-dimensional panels which shows the operating status of a plant. The operating status of the plant is displayed in the VR monitoring system through the realistic computer graphics. Sophisticated, realistic and prompt control becomes possible. The VR monitoring system consists of advanced visualization, walk-through simulation and navigation. In the virtual environment, a user can navigate and interact with each component of a plant. In addition, the user can access the information by just clicking interesting component. The VR monitoring system is operated with various modules, such as (1) virtual plant constructed with Graphic Management System (GMS), (2) Touch & Tell System, and (3) Equipment DB System of Part. In order to confirm the usefulness of the VR monitoring system, a pilot gas plant which is currently being used for plant operator training is taken as application. The end of the paper gives an outlook on the future work and a brief conclusion.

        수학적 최적화기법을 이용한 결함인식 연구

        It has been established that a crack has an important effect on the dynamic behavior of a structure. This effect depends mainly on the location and depth of the crack. To identify the location and depth of a crack in a structure. Nikolakopoulos et. al. used the intersection point of the superposed contours that correspond to the eigenfrequency caused by the crack presence. However the intersecting point of the superposed contours is not only difficult to find but also incorrect to calculate. A method is presented in this paper which uses optimization technique for the location and depth of the crack. The basic idea is to find parameters which use the structural eigenfrequencies on crack depth and location and optimization algorithm. With finite element model of the structure to calculate eigenfrequencies, it is possible to formulate the inverse problem in optimization format. Method of optimization is augmented lagrange multiplier method and search direction method is BFGS variable metric method and one dimensional search method is polynomial interpolation.

        비교종교학의 관점에서 본 한국불교의 頓漸論爭 - 頓悟頓修 없이는 그리스도교가 무너진다

          The sudden-gradual debate (頓漸論爭) taking place in the country of the Morning Calm since the second half of the 20th century has become a central feature of Korean Buddhism. It has been chiefly enacted by Master T"oeong So?ngch"o?l (退翁性徹), 1912-1993) from the Haein Monastery (海印寺), advocating a sudden-sudden approach of awakening and cultivation (頓悟頓修). So?ngch"o?l thus radically rejects the sudden-gradual paradigm (頓悟漸修) that has been the hallmark of Korean Buddhism since Master Chinul (知訥, 1158-1210), from the Songgwang Monastery (松廣寺).   For So?ngch"o?l, true sudden awakening definitely transforms someone into a Buddha. Such is the experience of the Buddha ?akiamuni and anything that falls short of that definition, i. e. that requires further practice to achieve buddhahood, should never be called ‘sudden awakening’. Moreover, in sharp contrast with Chinul promoting an amalgamation of So?n (禪) and Hwao?m (華嚴) doctrine, along the line of Guifeng Zongmi (圭峯宗密), So?ngch"o?l bases himself on a thorough reading of the Chan Canon (禪藏) to advocate a complete break with all scholastic teachings.   Though So?ngch"o?l has achieved during his lifetime the status of an outstanding national figure and of a great meditation master, his doctrinal views have been rejected as too dogmatic and fundamentalist by most Korean academics. They generally tend to be much more attracted by Chinul"s inductive thought and diachronic view of time. Indeed, a close study of So?ngch"o?l"s numerous works reveal a highly deductive mind and a predominantly synchronic conception of reality. However, despite those undeniable flaws, So?ngch"o?l"s teachings on sudden awakening, achieved almost exclusively through the practice of kanhwaso?n (看話禪) and along the line of Dahui Zonggao (大慧宗?), clearly seem to defend a point that deserves to be heard by anyone genuinely interested in Korean Buddhism.   In an attempt to bring new light on the debate, this paper examines whether or not structures of mystical experience resembling the divergent approaches of Chinul and So?ngch"o?l can be found at work in early Christianity. Indeed, though in somewhat different forms, the sudden-sudden and the sudden-gradual paradigms are clearly present in the New Testament: the former being the privilege of the founder of the tradition, and the latter that of the vast majority of his followers. It must be noticed, however, that the gradual paradigm cannot exist by itself; it has to be moving in the orbit of the sudden one. In other words, the gradual practice that follows an initial and sudden awakening - through which a disciple understands that he can become like his master - can only take sense if the founder himself has suddenly achieved the ideal of full realization toward which his disciples are progressively striving. Christ does not require at all from his disciples that they become as suddenly and definitely enlightened as he himself became when he was baptized, at the outset of his public life. Nevertheless, he does expect them to share his identity as completely an perfectly as possible in order to be able to take over the task of announcing his kingdom. During that growth process, if he generally displays a considerable amount of patience, he also scolds them, at times, because of their slowness to achieve a thorough understanding of truth. They are thus called to work more diligently at filling the gap between what he is and what they are. Ultimately, though, it is the death of their master that will allow them to achieve this goal. In other words, a full appropriation of their master"s teachings and way of being can only be achieved through a radical separation from him.     The above results can foster a better Buddhist-Christian encounter within the Korean peninsula.         한국 전통사회 아버지 상(像)에 대한 고찰 -왕족, 문헌 속 인물, 소설 속 인물을 중심으로-

        본 연구는 문헌고찰을 통해 역대 왕족들, 옛 문헌 속 인물, 소설 속에 나타난 인물들을 중심으로 아버지의 부모로서의 역할하기를 한국 전통사회의 아버지 상(像)은 어떠한가? 한국 전통사회에서의 지배적인 아버지 상은 어떠한 유형인가에 대해 조사하였다. 이를 위해 문헌기록이 있는 왕족 9인, 문헌 속 인물 4인, 소설 속 인물 3인을 선정하고 관련문헌과 선행연구를 토대로 한국전통사회 아버지 상을 유형화하였으며, 이에 준하여 연구대상들을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하여 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국 전통사회의 아버지 상은 다섯 가지로 유형화되었다. 즉, 자식에게 정이 없고, 사랑이 없는 무심한 아버지인 무정(無情)형 아버지 상, 자녀양육이나 경제적으로 능력이 없는 아버지인 무능(無能)형 아버지 상, 아주 엄하고 무서운 자신만의 방법으로 자식을 쉴새없이 몰아 부치는 아버지인 엄부(嚴父)형 아버지 상, 글방의 스승과 같이 정신과 지혜로 자녀를 교도하는 아버지 상을 말하는 것으로 정신과 지혜로 자녀를 교도하는 아버지인 훈장(訓長)형 아버지 상, 자녀를 애정적으로 양육하며 가정 일에 헌신하는 어머니 같은 아버지인 자모(慈母)형 아버지 상으로 나눌 수 있었다. 둘째, 한국 전통사회의 아버지의 상은 자모(慈母)형, 훈장(訓長)형의 아버지 이미지보다는 무정(無情)형, 무능(無能)형, 엄부(嚴父)형과 같은 아버지의 모습이 더 지배적인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과들을 현대사회에서 요구되는 아버지 상과 비교해 볼 때, 전통사회에 주로 표현되는 아버지 상은 긍정적인 이미지보다는 부정적인 이미지가 두드러진 것으로 볼 수 있다. This study aimed at examing and analyzing following questions, based on royal families of many generation, persons in literature, and characters in novels: What is the father`s image in traditional Korean society? What is the dominant image of the father in traditional Korean society? In order to achive the goal, this study chosen 9 persons in royal families, 4 persons in literature, and 3 characters in novels, classified and analyzed them by the father`s image, based on related materials and previous studies. The results of the study were summarized as follow. First, the father`s image in traditional Korean society can be divided into five categories: the image of cold-hearted father who has no love or affection towards his own children; the image of incompetent father who has no economic power and is incapable of raising his children; the image of stern father who consistently pushes children in his own strict way; the image of teacher type father who instructs his children like a school teacher; the image of mother type father who takes care of his children with love and is devoted to housework. Second, in traditional Korean society the images of negative father such as cold-hearted father, incompetent father, and stern father, compared to the father`s image to be asked in modern society, were more dominant than the images of positive father like teacher type father and mother type father.

        통합 면진 시스템 적용을 위한 MR 댐퍼 설계 및 성능 검증

        본 연구는 지진으로부터 통신 및 전력 시설의 보호를 위해 면진 시스템의 핵심 구성 요소로 하부의 Spring-LM Guide 방식의 면진 장치와 상부의 Spring-LM Guide가 결합된 MR 댐퍼 기반의 제진 장치를 통합하는 통합 면진 시스템을 제안하였다. 통합 면진 시스템의 공간 제약조건에 맞추어 MR 댐퍼를 설계하고 모델을 수립하였다. 또한 자기장 해석을 통해 항복응력을 도출하여 MR 댐퍼의 감쇠력 특성을 예측하고, 실험을 통해 2.5 A 전류 인가 시, 2.61 kN의 감쇠력을 확인하였다. 향후 더 정교한 감쇠력 모델링과 보상 제어 로직을 통해 MR 댐퍼 기반의 통합 면진 시스템을 구축하고자 한다. This paper proposes a seismic isolation system to protect communication and power facilities from earthquakes. The system integrated a spring-LM guide seismic isolator with an MR damper-based seismic isolation device, with an upper spring-LM guide as the core component. The design and modeling of the MR damper were customized to fit the space constraints of the integrated system. The damping force characteristics were calculated after obtaining the yield stress through magnetic field analysis. The experimental results showed that the MR damper could generate a damping force of 2.61 kN under a current of 2.5 A. As future work, the overall performance of the integrated seismic isolation system will be evaluated by conducting advanced damping force modeling and compensation control logic.
