Fetal cystic hygromas are congenital malformations of the lymphatic system manifested as single or multiloculated fluid-filled cavities in the neck region. Cystic hygroma is characterized by cystic appearance of posterior or lateral portion of the neck. A case of cystic hygroma, diagnosed antenatally by ultrasound at the 11+1th week of pregnancy and confirmed by autopsy, is presented with a brief review of literatures.

Endometrial stromal sarcomas are rare uterine tumors accounting for about 0.2% of female genital tract malignancy. These tumors are divided into two subtypes: low grade and high grade. Low grade endometrial stromal sarcoma is composed of cells mimicking the proliferative endometrial stromal cells that infiltrate the myometrium; high grade endometrial stromal sarcoma is poorly differentiated sarcoma without specific features or heterologous elements but with an infiltrating pattern that originated from endometrial stromal cells. We report two cases of low grade endometrial stromal sarcoma with a brief review of literatures.

Leiomyoma of vagina is relatively rare benign tumor. And majority of these lesions occur in labia major and anterior vaginal wall. The recurrence of this tumor is extremely rare and its cellular atypism, mitotic activity, tumor size and contour are known as important factors in its recutrence. A case of recutrent leiomyoma causing urinary frequency in vesicovaginal septum was reported with a brief review of literature.

The construction types of the arched stone bridges show generally the semi-circled shapes. But, the several types have been constructed by considering the height-width ratios according to the installation locations. The arched stone bridges with the various arched types have the different load transfer mechanism and show the different structural behavior according to the axis variation. Therefore, this study analyzes the mechanical behavior characteristics according to the various arched types and applies the discrete element method for the modelling and analysis of discontinuum structure.

The seokbinggo structures have the various construction types with the several configuration members and suffers the upper earth pressure. So, the seokbinggo structures show the different structural characteristics and the various load transfer mechanism. Especially, this study presents the discrete element method for the discontinuous elements and joints according to the discontinuum behavior characteristics in the masonry stone structures. Therefore, this study selects the representative seokbinggo structure and then considers the various design variables according to the construction types. Finally, this study analyzes the structural behavior characteristics of seokbinggo structures through the discontinuum structural modelling and analysis.

Because the stone pagoda structure is considered as the discontinuum masonry system, many difficulties are given in the modelling and analysis process. Therefore, this study investigates the construction types of stylobate for the three-story stone pagoda in Goseon-sa temple site. Also, this study evaluates the vertical load transfer mechanism through the structural modelling and analysis by the discrete element analysis and finite element analysis with the consideration of the discontinuum behavior and contact surface mechanism. To this end, the internal jeoksim types of stylobate are considered in the analysis process. Also, the efficiency of load distribution method for checking the vertical load transfer of each element is analyzed through the comparison of analysis results.
