Generally, rubber engine mount is used to reduce the dynamic force transmitted to the body of assenger cars. And this requires the study about the characteristics of rubber engine mount. In this study, taking into account the nonlinearity of rubber engine mount, we simulated the transmitted force to the body. For simplicity. passenger car's engine mount system was modeled into 2 degree of freedom system. Multiple Scales Method was used to study nonlinear system. As a result. a variety of secondary resonances was observed as well as primary resonance. This study shows simulations of some secondary resonances in the range of practical excitation frequency of passenger car.<br/>

The rubber mount has more marked nonlinear spring property than other elastic materials. Hence, it is reasonable to model the rubber mount upon nonlinear spring rather than linear one. The object of this paper is to analyze the engine mount system considering nonlinearity and to investigate many phenomena which can not be observed in linear vibration analysis. The engine mounts considered in this paper are bush type and they are modeled with linear damper having hysteric damping and nonlinear spring having 2nd term. The engine and transmission has 6 degree-of-freedom of rigid body motion. As results of theoretical analysis using Multiple Scale Method, it is shown that the various internal resonances and external resonances can take place Among above phenomena, the representative sub-super harmonics are solved analytically. And they are compared with the numerical simulation results.<br/> <br/>

The cantilever beam with nonlinearity has many dynamic characteristics of nonlinear vibration. Nonlinear terms of a flexible cantilever beam include inertia, spring, damping, and warping. When the beam is given basic harmonic excitation, it shows planar and nonplanar vibrations due to one-to-one resonance. And when the one-to-one resonance occurs, the flexible beam shows different behaviors in those vibrations. For the one-to-one resonance occurring in each mode, the phase value of the planar vibration is different from that of the nonlinear vibration. This paper investigates the phase change and the phase difference between such planar and nonplanar vibrations which are caused by one-to-one resonance.

This study represents the technique about the noise reduction of HVAC equipment for high speed train(HST) operating at 200 ㎞/h. HST is different from the low speed train in the various points as well as the speed. Especially, the noise of cabin is closely related to the comfort of passenger and the noise from HVAC is one of main noise source in the cabin. In this study, the noise from HVAC was reduced by 5 ㏈(A)" using the concept of multiple resonator and guide vein. Therefore, the noise of cabin decreased from 60 ㏈(A) to 55 ㏈(A) at the center of the cabin.
