다중빔 음향측심기인 SeaBeam2000은 차세대 해저면 맵핑시스템으로써, 단일 탐사폭이 121개의 빔으로 구성되어 탐사선의 수직방향을 중심으로 좌우 60˚씩의 해저면을 탐사할 수 있다. 이 장비는 현재 한국해양연구소의 온누리호에 설치되어 운영되고 있으며, 다른 해저면 탐사장비에 비하여 짧은 기간 동안 넓은 해역에 대하여 고질의 해저 수심자료와 음압자료를 동시에 공급한다. 본 연구의 목적은 이러한 복합적인 다중빔 해저자료를 디지탈 신호처리 기술을 이용하여 처리하는 시스템을 개발하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 다중빔 음향측심 자료를 이용한 해저면 맵핑시스템의 처리과정을 소개하고, 동해 일부 해역 (북위 37˚00`-37˚30`, 경도129˚40`-130˚40`)을 탐사하고 얻어진 다중빔 음향측심 자료를 개발된 시스템으로 처리한 결과를 2차원 및 3차원 영상으로 보여준다. SeaBeam2000, a multibeam echo sounder, is a new generation seabed mapping system of which a single swath covers an angular range of -60˚ to 60˚ from the vertical direction with 121 beams. It provides high-density and high-quality bathymetric data along with sidescan acoustic data. The purpose of the research is to develop a system for processing multibeam underwater acoustic and bathymetric data using digital signal processing techniques. Recently obtained multibeam echo sounder data covering a survey area in the East Sea of Korea (37˚00`N to 37˚30`N and 129˚40`E to 130˚30`E) are preliminarily processed using the developed system and reproduced in the raster image format as well as three dimensionally visualized form.

일부 농촌지역주민에서 Bioelectric Impedance로 측정한 체지방비율에 대한 고찰

Obesity usually is defined as the presence of and abnormally amount of adipose tissue. In many epidemiologic study, obesity as a health risk factor has been estimated by Body Mass Index(BMI) in general. This study was conducted to review of body fat percent measured by Bioelectric impedance analyzer as a estimator of obesity in a rural adult population. The study subjects were 421 men and 664 women who reside in the area on the Juam lake. They were sampled by multistage cluster sampling. Their mean age was 59 years old. Body fat percent increased with age, but BMI decreased with age in this study. Body fat percent was more larger at female and elder on the same BMI. The correlation coefficient between with body fat percent and body mass index was low (r=0.4737). Body fat percent was explained by not only BMI but also sex and age $(r^2=0.63)$. The result suggested that it is inadequate for BMI only to estimate obesity about elderly person who reside in the rural community. The relation of body fat percent and body mass index of this study agreed with the preceding know-ledges and studies in general.

In order to investigate the prevalence and the factors related to the depression and burnout among private practice physicians, a SDS(self-rating depression scale) and MBI(Maslach burnout inventory) -based questionnaire study was performed on 344 private practice physicians in Kwangju and Chonnam area. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Mean SDS score was 38.3 in total subjects and the prevalence rate of depression was 48.8%. As for the frequency order of the items of the SDS, decreased libido, diurnal variation and hopelessness were relatively high, and suicidal rumination, constipation and agitation were noted low. 2. Noticeable factors related with depression were smoking, coffee use, sleeping time and satisfaction with income. 3. As a result a factor analysis with the MBI data, five factors named as emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment, involvement and self-interest were extracted. Statistical analysis of the data demonstrated that 48.8% of the physician sample reported high scores on emotional exhaustion, and 45.3% scored high on depersonalization. Personal accomplishment scores remained high with 45.3% reporting high personal accomplishment. 4. Variables related to the burnout were age, sleeping time, family size religion, medical speciality, duration of practice setting, visiting patient number, closing day per month and job satisfaction. 5. In the relationship with depression, burnout was closely related to depression. Above results showed that the high percentage of private practice physicians experiencing depression and burnout suggests the need for further research to establish trends, to identify causal factors, and to develop avenues to reduce stress.
