Digital broadcast in Korea being under way for almost 10 years and due by the end of 2012 is greatly changing the style of life. Having such a potential impact on life means it hardly permits any mistake in cooperated works of viewers, broadcasters, manufacturers and government for smooth transition. Now the early phase of digital transition is capturing the viewers with unseen features like HDTV, interactive data broadcasting, and multimedia service. But what will really thrill us is still to come with its capability far beyond high definition and interactivity.

온경탕(溫經湯)에 관(關)한 문헌적(文獻的) 고찰(考察)

Through the study of successive literatures from the Han-dynasty(漢代) when ${\\ll}$Keumkweyeuliak(金궤要略)${\gg}$ was written to modern age, we inspected many types of Onkyuatgtang(溫經湯) and prescriptions including the term of 'Okywg(溫湯)' or 'Chokyung(調經), and look into their composition and symptoms respond to administration of this medicine, The results of this study were as follows; 1. The medicine which makes up Onkyuatgtang was 38kinds from the Han-dynasty to the Ching-dynasty(淸代), and up to the present it summed into 43kinds. 2. Onkywgtang which was composed of different kinds of medicine was 10types from the Hun-dynasty to the Chung-dynasty and added 11types in modern days. Therefore it sumed up into 21types. 3. No Onkyuatgtang is seen more common than that of the same composition as in ${\\ll}$Keumkweyeuliak${\gg}$ in successive literature. The next is the same constituents as in ${\\ll}$Buinyangbangdaejeun(婦人良方大全)${\gg}$ Others were rare. 4. Onkywgtang in ${\\ll}$Keumkweyeuliak${\gg}$ was used to treat cold syndrome of the penetration and conception vessles or uterus of deficiency type(衛任 胞宮의 虛寒) and that in Buinyangbangdaejeun was for cold syndrome of the penetration and conception vessels or uterus of excess type(衛任 胞宮의 虛寒). 5. Other names of Ohylmgtang in ${\\ll}$Keumkweyeuliak${\gg}$ were Daeonrkyungtang(大溫經湯), Chokyungsan(調經散), Chokyungtang(調經湯), Chunkeumchokyungtang(千金調經湯), Chunkeumchokyungsan(千金調經散) and Soonkyungtang(小溫經湯), And the prescription in the same constitution was also called Chokyungonkyungtang(仲景溫經湯), Keumkweonkyungtang(千궤溫經湯) and Sibbionkyunghwan(十二溫經丸). 6. Onkywgtang in ${\\ll}$Buinyangbongdaejeun${\gg}$ of Yangbangonkyungtang(良方溫經湯), Jimionkyungtang(指迷溫經湯), Kyunkwionkyungtang(穹歸溫經湯) and Jinssionkyungtang(陣氏溫經湯).

In an attempt to investigate the effect of Beekeumsan on the hemostatic action and isolated uterine muscle, Beekeumsan was administered orally and the bleeding time in mouse tail, prothrombin time in vitro were estimated. Its activity on the isolated uterine muscle in rats were investigated. The following results were obtained; The bleeding time was not shortened, but the plasma prothrombin time in vitro was significantly shortened. The uterotonic action produced by the Beekeumsan was not inhibited by pretreatment of atropine, but was slightly inhibited by cyprohep tadine and completely inhibited by pretreatment of diltiazem.

Experimental studies were conducted to investigate the hemostatic effect of the water extracts of Kwibitang. For this purpose, the effects of the extracts on the bleeding time in mouse tail and prothrombin time in vitro were estimated. Furthermore, its activity on the isolated uterine muscle in rats were investigated. The results obtained were as following; The bleeding time was not shortened, but the plasma prothrombin time in vitro test was significantly shortened. The uterotonic action produced by the extract was not inhibited by pretreatment of atropine and cyproheptadine, but completely inhibited by pretreatment of diltiazem at the doses of 10^-5g/㎖.

高麗人蔘의 白鼠 子宮筋收縮力 및 子宮內壓自發運動에 미치는 影響 (Ⅱ)

Ginseng has been employed for a large variety of disorders as a panaceal therapeutic drug as well as a tonic remedy in oriental medicine for centuries. But its mysterious effect are not yet fully elucidated. However, as a results of numerous investigations, panax saponin, and etherial and non-etherial components have been isolated from ginseng, and a wide range of their pharmacological properties has been ascribed. Among those studies on ginseng, many investigators have observed that ginseng extract causes a marked contraction of intestinal or uterine strip, and have ascribed it to the release or endogenous histamine or 5-hydroxytryptamine. This investigation was carried out to see the effect if ginseng ethanol extract on the contractile force, intrauterine pressure, and spontaneous activity of isolated rat uteris, and to elucidate its mechanism. Ginseng elicited concentration-dependant increas of contractile force, intrauterine pressure and spontaneous activity of nonpregnant and pregnant rat uterus. Ginseng (1 or 100mg/㎖) caused a parallel shift of the dose response curve of acetylcholine, histamine or 5-hydroxytrytamine : But ginseng did not change the dose respone curve of oxytocin. Ginseng potentiated the acetylcholine, histamine or 5-hydroxtryptamine induced increase of contractile force, intrauterine pressure and spontaneous activity of the rat uterus, but did not effect the action of oxytocin in the preparation. Atropine (10 ug/㎖) did not inhibit the action of ginseng, bit phenyramine (10 ug/㎖) or cyproheptadine (0.5 ug/㎖) partially blocked the action of ginseng. Change of electrolyte concentration in the medium affects the contractile force of, intrauterine pressure and spontaneous activity of the preparation. However, decrease of Na ion, or increase of K ion or Ca ion in the medium diminished the action of ginseng, while increase of Mg ion or addition of Mn ion into the medium scarcely affect the action of ginseng. Thus, it is sugested that effect of gindeng ethanol extract on the contractile force, intrauterine pressure and spontaneous activity of the rat uterus is partly due to release of endogenous substances such as histamine and 5-hydroxytryptamine, and partly due to direct related to muscle contraction is conceivably comprised. It is obtained that as results of those above experiments, Panax Ginseng seems to be effective in preventing and treatmenting for gynecological diseases which is corelated with of uterine contractile force, intra-uterine pressure and spontaneous activity.
