This paper is described for the flame behaviors in light railway cabin by numerical simulation code, which can be interpreted the design parameters in terms of suppression the fire propagation and excavation the passengers safely. The results shows that the flame intensity(fire temperature, smoke density) depends on the firing points in cabin and propagates rapidly whole cabin space rather than modem subway cabin due to smaller inner space. The data will be used to how can be get the safety case, which is described on the operating principles for all facilities and logistics against to the light railway firing accidents.

The system is defined as groups which are operative, dependentive, configurational of all each others. In order to develop the AGT system efficiently, the system engineering process has to be organized It will be started by the configuration of WBS and PBS. A WBS is a method of naming and organizing all of the work elements to be done for a projects. It completely defines the projects, is normally prepared in an hierarchical during design and project execution. A number, or alpha-numeric identification, is assigned to every WBS elements. Also a hierachy of system physical components should be established. It named to PBS, which is a method of naming and organizing all of the physicals elements to be done for a projects. Therefore we will propose the WBS and PBS to fit for AGT system in this reports.
직렬형 하이브리드 굴절차량용 대용량 LPB 팩의 적용 및 성능 평가

Newly developed Series hybrid low-floor articulated vehicle which can meet both road and railway running conditions. It has the rated driving speed of 80 km/h and three driving modes with hybrid(engine+battery) driving mode, engine driving mode, battery driving mode. The battery driving mode requires the several 10 km running without additional charging operation. The vehicle has been equipped with LPB (lithium polymer battery) pack for the series hybrid propulsion system. LPB pack consists of 168 cells (3.7 V in a cell, 80 Ah) in series, DC Circuit breaker, mechanical rack, BMS (battery management system). This paper has shown the design process of LPB pack and application to the vehicle. Driving results in the road was successful to be satisfied with the requirement of the series hybrid vehicle.

Power of fuel cell tram is supplied by only fuel cell system or hybrid system of fuel cell and battery/super capacity. Fuel cell is operated by hydrogen, which is fed directly from hydrogen tank or by reforming gasoline or methanol into hydrogen. Power system is preferred with hybrid of fuel cell and battery/super capacity since it improves total energy efficiency through interaction of hybrid components and restores energy regenerated by braking. Also, power supply system by fuel cell hybrid should be designed to output optimum energy efficiency depending on driving mode of fuel cell tram.

After 1974 an EMU, which is the first line opened, the car"s term of endurance is introduced, End of life on the step, gradually the rate of cars out of service are increasing. In the country, we consider about recycled source, aspects of social economic of cars out of service and so on, treat efficiently and reasonable. According to research first we make investigations about the present situation and the actual condition of cars out of service then we should lay out schemes efficiently.

Articulated vehicles which have a pivoting joint allowing the vehicle to rotate more easily are difficult to turn the curves because of their long length. In order to review operational safety, turning characteristics related to geometric design should be investigated when articulated vehicles run on the road which can be interfered with other vehicles. The vehicles to review the turning characteristics are the normal articulated bus in Seoul with FWS(front wheel steering) and new bimodal tram with AWS(all wheel steering). Steering characteristics and geometric design were investigated such as turning radius, offtracking, swept path width and swingout. The results were reviewed with respect to the standards of vehicle safety and road design.
