        과체중 또는 비만 초등학생의 비만측정 방법에 따른 비만율과 인슐린저항성 및 대사증후군 실태

        The purpose of the current study was to investigate 1) the obesity rate by a variety of obesity measurements and 2)the prevalence of insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome among overweight or obese children. Two hundred twenty eight overweight or obese children(151 males, 77 females, 4-6th grade) were recruited. The obesity rate, insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome risk factors were assessed and analyzed. The obesity rate were different by obesity measurements including body mass index, waist circumference and percent body fat in this cohort. Participants in obese group were more likely to have significantly higher level of insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome risk factors as compared to those in overweight group with body mass index classification. Sixty one percent participants had insulin resistance, and 15.6% had metabolic syndrome. This study concluded that the child obesity is medically severe since obesity induces metabolic syndrome risk factors and insulin resistance.

        척추측만증 여자 중학생에서 필라테스 운동의 참여가 Cobb’s 각 체력 및 허리근육에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of the current study was to investigate the effects of pilates exercise on the cobb’s angle, physical fitness and lumbar muscle in scoliosis middle school girls. Twenty-one scoliosis middle school girls were divided into pilates exercise (n=11) and control (n=10) groups. The pilates exercise program was carried out under the condition of RPE 11-15 for 60 minutes, 4 days a week for 12 weeks. Scoliosis(scoliometer angle, cobb’s angle), physical fitness(grip strength, back strength, sit-up, sit and reach, 1,200m running and walking, straight walking test) and lumbar muscle(psoas major muscle, quadratus lumborum muscle, erector spine muscle, multifidus muscle) of all subjects were measured at before and after the program participation. Scoliometer angle and cobb’s angle was significantly decreased within pilates exercise group. Sit-up and sit and reach was significantly increased within pilates exercise group. Walking and straight walking test was significantly decreased within pilates exercise group. Multifidus muscle was significantly increased within pilates exercise group. Our findings concluded the severity of scoliosis middle school girls. There were significant improvements in scoliometer angle, cobh’s angle, sit-up, sit and reach, straight walking test and multifidus muscle in scoliosis middle school girls after pilates exercise program participation. Therefore, it is recommended for middle school girls to participate in regular pilates exercise to improve the scoliosis as well as to increased physical fitness and lumbar muscle.

        육상운동이 척추측만증 여자 중학생의 척추측만도와 체력 및 허리근육에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of the current study was to investigate the effects of athletic exercise on the scoliosis, physical fitness and lumbar muscle in scoliosis middle school girls. Twenty-four scoliosis middle school girls were divided into exercise (n=14) and control (n=10) groups. The athletic exercise program was carried out under the condition of RPE 11-15 for 60 minutes, 4 days a week for 12 weeks. Scoliosis(scoliometer angle, cobb"s angle), physical fitness(back strength, sit-up, sit and reach, 1,200m running and walking, straight walking test) and lumbar muscle(psoas major muscle, quadratus lumborum muscle, erector spine muscle, multifidus muscle) of all subjects were measured at before and after the program participation. Therefore, it is recommended for middle school girls to participate in regular athletic exercise to improve the scoliosis as well as to increased physical fitness and lumbar muscle.

        비만 초등학생에서 골프운동이 신체조성과 체력, 혈중지질 및 성장호르몬에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of the current study was to investigate the effects of golf exercise on the body composition, physical fitness, blood lipids and growth hormone in obese elementary children. Sixteen obese elementary children were divided into exercise (n=8) and control (n=8) groups. The golf exercise program was carried out under the condition of RPE 11-15 for 120 minutes, 3 days a week for 12 weeks. Body composition, physical fitness, blood lipids and growth hormone of all subjects were measured at before and after the program participation. Percent body fat, body fat mass, waist-hip ration and fasting glucose was significantly decreased within exercise group. Muscle strength(back strength) was significantly increased within exercise group and control group. Flexibility(sit and reach) and insulin-like growth factor-1 was significantly increased within exercise group. Exercise group was shown that there were significant differences of percent body fat, high density lipoprotein cholesterol and fasting glucose, compared with control group. Our findings concluded the severity of obese elementary children. There were significant improvements in percent body fat, body fat mass, waist-hip ratio, muscle strength, flexibility, fasting glucose and insulin-like growth factor-1 in obese elementary children after golf exercise program participation.

        복합운동 프로그램이 비만 중년여성의 신체조성, 동맥경화지수 및 인슐린저항성에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of combined exercise on body composition, atherogenic index and insulin resistance in obese middle-aged women. 16 subjects were divided into combined exercise(n=8) and control(n=8) groups. The combined exercise program was conducted 80 minutes/day, 3 days a week for 12 weeks. The results were summarized as follows: Percent body fat, waist-hip ratio, visceral fat area level, TG, TG/HDL-C, fasting glucose and HOMA-IR were significantly decreased within combined exercise group. Body fat mass, lean body mass, soft lean mass and fasting insulin showed significant differences in the interaction effect. HDL-C, TC/HDL-C and LDL-C/HDL-C showed significant differences in the between groups. In summary, when considering the above results, we concluded that combined exercise could improve body composition, atherogenic index and insulin resistance in obese middle-aged women.

        서킷 트레이닝이 여자 대학 단거리 육상선수의 신체조성, 체력 및 무산소성 능력에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of circuit training on body composition, physical fitness and anaerobic ability in female college sprinter. In the current investigation eleven female sprinters were recruited. The circuit training program was conducted 90 minutes/day, 3 days/day for 8 weeks. Circuit training program was made up side step, push-up, jumping squat, v-ups, mountain climber, modified jerk, sergeant jump, pitch, jerk, lying pitch, jumping alternating lunge, arm swing and burpee test. Lean body mass, skeletal muscle mass, basal metabolism rate, muscular strength(1RM bench press, 1RM squat, back strength, right grip strength), muscular endurance(sit-up, flexed arm hang), power(medicine ball throw), flexibility/sit and reach, trunk extension), cardiopulmonary function(physical efficiency index), peak power, peak power/㎏, fatigue index were significantly increased after program participation. In addition, percent body fat, body fat mass, diastolic blood pressure, agility(shuttle run), time at peak power were significantly decreased. The current study identified that participating in 8-week circuit training significantly improved the body composition, physical fitness and anaerobic ability in female college sprinter. In conclusion, circuit training plays a pivotal role in the performance enhancing even in athletic level.

        0교시 운동프로그램이 비만 초등학생의 대사성질환 위험요인 및 BDNF 관련인자에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of the current study was to investigate the effects of zero hour class exercise program on the metabolic disease risk factors and BDNF related factors in obese elementary children. 14 subjects were divided into zero hour class exercise(n=7) and control(n=7) groups. The zero hour class exercise program was conducted 60 minutes/day, 5 days a week for 12 weeks. The results were summarized as follows: Body weight, body mass index, percent body fat, waist circumference, diastolic blood pressure and triglyceride were significantly decreased within zero hour class exercise group. Back strength, sit-up, progressive aerobic cardiovascular endurance run, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, insulin-like growth factor-1 and brain derived neurotrophic factor were significantly increased within zero hour class exercise group. Zero hour class exercise group was shown that there were significant differences of body weight, body mass index, waist circumference, progressive aerobic cardiovascular endurance run, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, fasting glucose, triglyceride, growth hormone, insulin-like growth factor-1 and brain derived neurotrophic factor, compared with control group. In summary, when considering the above results, we concluded that zero hour class exercise could improve body composition, physical fitness, metabolic disease risk factors and BDNF related factors in obese elementary children.

      • 체육영재의 운동프로그램이 체력과 체격 및 운동능력에 미치는 영향

        This purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of exercise program on the physical fitness and physique with performance in the sport-talented youth. The program s funded and supervised by NEST and organized by Jeju National University in 2011. Each period according to physique and physical fitness and performance in order to analyze the data one way analysis of variance(ANOVA), Scheffe post hoc tests were used. Results of the present study were as follows: 1) Changes of physique in height and sitting - height according to the duration increased significantly(p<.05), body weight, upper body 1engt1 %fat were not statistically significant(p>.05). 2) Changes of physical fitness in sit-ups, half squat jumps according to the duration increased significantly(p<.05), basketball throwing, standing long jump, 20m Miulti-Stage Shuttle Run Test were not statistically significant(p>.05). 3) Changes of performance in 50m run side step test according to the duration statistically significant(p<.05)

      • 해양스포츠 활동에 따른 여대생의 심폐기능과 체력 및 신체조성 비교 연구

        The purpose of this study was to compare cardiopulmonary function, physical fitness and body composition between the aquatic sports group, and the non-aquatic sports group in female college of Jeju national university. For this experiment, 10 subjects were divided into the non-aquatic sports group(n=5), the aquatic sports(n=5). Cardiopulmonary function(O2max/kg, maximal heart rate, maximal ventilation, anaerobic threshold), physical fitness(strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, balance test), body composition(body weight, body mass index, muscle mass, %fat) of all subjects were measured. Cardiopulmonary function were not shown that there were any difference between groups in all measurement items. However, even though it wasn`t significant, it was shown high in orders of the aquatic soprts group had superior results in factors of O2max/kg, maximal heart rate, maximal ventilation, anaerobic threshold. There was a significant difference between groups in categories of muscular endurance of physical fitness. However, strength, flexibility, balance were not shown that there were any difference between group. Body composition were not shown that there were any difference between groups in all measurement items. In summary, when considering the above results, we concluded that aquatic sports of muscular endurance. but, cardiopulmonary function, strength, flexibility, balance and body composition could improve was somewhat incomplete.
