        지역사회발전을 위한 지역신문의 역할

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the sole of local newspaper for community development in Korea. Specific objectives of the study were : 1) to identify the role of local newspaper in community development, 2) to analyze problems and situations on local newspapers in Korea, and 3) to suggest desirable roles of local newspaper for the community development. To attain the above objectives, this study was carried out through literature review, content analysis of selected local newspapers, and the questionnaire survey of selected readers of local newspaper. The data were collected from 267 readers of local newspaper who participated in the farmers' training session in the Rural Development Administration, by using questionnaires developed by the researcher, and total of 263 questionnaires were analyzed. The statistical techniques used for the study were frequence, percentile, standard deviation utilizing the SPSS/P+. The major findings of the study were as follows : 1. The major roles of functions of local newspapers identified in this study were summarized as to reinforce the community consciousness, to form community opinion, to watch and to monitor community environment, to provide education and entertainment, and to contribute to the conveyance and promotion of community culture. 2. The general characteristic of local newspaper readers surveyed were; a) average distance from town to their village was 9.3 Km, b) average age was 29 years, c) about 75% of them were senior high school graduates, and d) about 96% of them participated in group activities. 3.About 45% of the respondents used television or radio for their major sources of local news were TV or radio, while about 31% respondents used community newspaper for their major sources of local news. About 67% of the respondents kept their readership over two years, and about 40% of them read community newspaper regularly at their home. 4.The results of content analysis showed that the local newspapers were dealing with articles on cultural affairs, community consciousness, administrative and civic affairs, however, there were not enough educational news, and various kinds of general news in the community. 5. Survey also showed the most needed news were ; 1) political news including administrative and civic affairs, 2) economic news including sales and distribution, 3) social news including social problems on environmental pollution and community development works, 4) educational news including technology and information, 5) cultural news including guide to cultural and historical sites and local brief news. 6. In the evaluation of local newspaper, the readers were generally positive in valued roles of local newspaper in community relations, community development, promoting community cohesion and understanding of community members, and about 40% of the respondents were positive in predicting the bright future perspectives of local newspapers. 7. In the readers' evaluation of local newspaper, readers responded that local newspapers were very closely related to the community and residents, reflecting the current concerns of local population and recognizing the value of community media, and the contents of local newspaper were positively related to daily lives of community residents and opinions of overall community.

        베트남 여성결혼이민자의 임신과 출산에 따른 가족관계 경험연구

        The aim of this study was to discover and understand the family relationship experiences of marriage immigrant Vietnamese women during their pregnancy and childbirth. Eight women participated in this study. The social and cultural context of their experiences were considered and their experiences were illuminated using the phenomenological research method. There were discovered five main themes and twenty small themes within two main categories: pregnancy and childbirth. During their pregnancy, the participants felt they were accepted within their Korean family. However, after childbirth they felt they were still outsiders. The main point was that the relationships with Korean husbands were essential to overcome the difficult time. After childbirth, their relationships with mother-in-laws were not good because of cultural differences during postnatal care. Childbirth was seen as giving a great gift to participants` husbands, but was stressful to the participants because of the difficulties of child caring and concerns about child`s education. The participants` relationships of other family members had positive or negative inclinations depending on their family members` interests or conditions. The participants wanted to work quickly and did not plan for another child. Based on the findings from their experiences during the period of pregnancy to childbirth, some policies and practices were proposed in education, social welfare, and counseling fields.

        십대 미혼모를 위한 미국의 사회복지 체계와 서비스 그리고 한국적 활용 방안에 관한 연구

        미국사회는 미혼모들의 문제를 개인적 뿐만 아니라 사회적 그리고 국가적 문제로 인식하므로 이들을 위한 다양한 사회복지 정책과 서비스, 그리고 프로그램들을 제공하여 이들이 스스로 자활할 수 있는 토대를 마련하여 왔다. 특히 십대 미혼모들은 학교를 중퇴하고 직업을 갖지 못하며 빈곤한 환경에서 아이를 키우기 때문에 심리적 정신적으로 불안한 상태에 있다. 이들에 대한 서비스는 국가적으로 미혼모뿐만 아니라 어린아이들까지도 돌보는 것으로 가정과 사회의 안정을 가져오며 인적자원을 잘 보존하는 것이다. 한국의 경우도 현대화/산업화된 사회로 발전하며 청소년들의 문제가 특히나 십대 미혼모의 문제가 사회적으로 이슈화되고 있다. 따라서 이 연구는 미국의 상황을 분석하고 미국의 복지 정책, 프로그램, 자원봉사자들을 이용한 서비스들을 살펴보고 한국에 적용 가능한 복지프로그램과 지원서비스를 제안하고자 한다. 미국의 미혼모를 위한 대안 학교차원의 교육/직업훈련/부모교육 등과 가족지원프로그램은 미혼모뿐만 아니라 사회와 가족이 모두 혜택을 받을 수 있는 서비스며 프로그램이므로 한국사회에 적용하면 효율적으로 미혼모들의 어려움과 사회문제를 해결 할 수 있다고 본다. 또한 자원봉사의 서비스 체계가 미혼모를 위한 사회복지 프로그램 등에 적극적으로 활용되면 미혼모들은 믿고 따를 수 있는 롤 모델을 갖게 되며 국가적으로는 인력의 활용과 자원 절약의 효과를 기대할 수 있다.

        일반논문 : 한국어교원의 외국인 유학생 지도경험에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 한국어교원의 초기정착 단계 외국인 유학생 지도경험을 통해 다양한 유학생들의 소통과 교류가 어떠한지 살피고 그 본래의 모습과 의미를 밝히고자 함에 목적을 두었다. 이에 한국어교원 6명을 개별 심층면접하고 그 자료를 분석한 결과, 교원의 유학생 지도경험과 인식에서 총 9개의 소주제들이 발굴되었다. 유학생 지도경험 범주에서 총 6개의 소주제들은 개인적으로 다름과 차이는 물론 문화적/국가적/민족적/종교적인 다름과 차이로 인해 나타나는 갈등이나 차별 등에 관한 주제들이 도출되었다. 참여교원의 유학생에 대한 인식은 서구 지향주의, 물질 만능주의, 개인주의 등의 3개 소주제들로 범주화되었다. 참여교원들의 경험과 인식 중 두드러진 것은 일부 학생들의 종교적/인종적 차별문제이다. 또한 유학생들은 국가적 정체성이 강하여 국가 간 역사적-정치적인 문제로 인해 갈등관계로 발전함이 나타났다. 일부 유학생들의 서구지향주의적 또는 물질 만능주의적 성향으로 타인을 무시하며 소통과 배려가 부족함도 문제로 지적되었다. 본 연구는 실제 유학생들의 개인적·국가적 특성, 한국어 수준별, 종교적·인종적·계층적 다름과 차이 등으로 인해 나타나는 문화적 다양성 이면에 존재하는 문제들에 대해 주목하였다. 그리고 참여교원들이 이들을 교육하고 지도하는 것의 어려움도 발견하였다. 이에 한국정착 초기단계 유학생 대상 문화다양성 증진 프로그램과 다문화교육을 요청하며 한국어교원을 위한 다문화적 역량강화를 위한 연수와 재교육이 필수적임을 제언한다. The aim of this study was to discover the experience of Korean language teachers` guidance of international students at Korean Language Education Centers. Six Korean language teachers participated in this study by sharing their experiences of teaching and guiding the students. From the teachers` experiences studied in depth, nine sub-themes were discovered under two main themes. First main theme is on the teachers` experiences. Under this, six sub-themes were mostly related to the differences or gaps of the students` motivation and attitudes toward learning, relationships and interactions between/among them and the teachers, and the viewpoints on religious, political, and historical issues. An alarming aspect from these was the resulting religious or racial discrimination among the students. Historical issues related to colonialism also led to conflicts. The second main theme was on the teachers` perspectives of the students. Under this main theme, three sub-themes were the pursuit of Westernization, materialism, and individualism. Based on this study, the researcher discovered a lack of cultural understanding and empathy among culturally diverse students. This paper suggests the need of multicultural education for international students. The research also suggests training or reeducation for Korean language teachers on multicultural teaching competency in order to improve cultural diversity and multiculturalism.

        공공기관 내 여성결혼이민자의 사회참여 경험에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 공공기관 내 여성결혼이민자의 사회참여 경험은 어떠한지 탐색하고 그 경험 속에내재된 의미와 본질을 밝히고자 함에 목적을 두었다. 이에 현상학적 질적 연구방법을 활용하여 공공기관에서 자원봉사활동을 펼치는 여성결혼이민자 7명을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하여 자료를 수집·분석하고 그 결과를 정리하였다. 이들의 공공기관 내 사회참여 경험은 참여동기, 참여과정, 참여결과의 세 범주에서 총 20개의 의미단위들이 도출되어 11개의 주제묶음으로 정리하였다. 참여자들은 초기 주변의 권유와 호기심으로 공공기관 내 사회참여를 시작하였으나 활동과 업무에 대한 이해부족, 언어문제, 그리고 일부 한국인들의 차별적 태도 등으로 어려움을 경험하였다. 하지만, 점차 개인적으로 즐거움, 타인의 인정, 자신감과 신뢰 증진, 보람 등을 느끼고 상호교류와 네트워크 형성을 통해 본격적인 활동을 전개하며 사회적인책임감도 강화되는 모습들이 나타났다. 이에 참여자들은 한국사회 내 자신이 모국을 대표한다는 인식 그리고 자녀의 미래를 위해 노력해야 한다는 의지를 표출하며 미래를 준비하였다. 결론적으로 여성결혼이민자들의 공공기관 내 사회참여는 한 개인에 의한 참여이고 변화이지만 점차 사회적, 국가적, 글로벌 차원으로까지 이들의 사회참여가 발전하는 모습들이 발견되었다. 이들은 사회참여를 통해 서비스 수혜대상에서 생산적 주체로 성장하는 계기가 되었으며, 이들의 사회참여는 ``경계 지워진 우리사회``를 모두가 상생·공존하는 다문화사회로 성숙시킬 수 있음을 시사하는 바이다. 이에 공공기관 내 여성결혼이민자들의 사회참여를 활성화하기 위한 체계적 지원시스템과 모형을 구축할 것을 제언한다. This study aimed to examine the experiences of social participation of married immigrant women in a public organization. Seven immigrant women with different nationalities were participated. Their stories about social participation at the organization were collected and analyzed based on a qualitative research method. Main findings were 11 main themes and 20 meaning units under three categories: participation motivation, process, and result. The main findings were that even if their experiences were difficult at the beginning, they generally felt proud, overjoyed, happy, rewarded, and responsible as representatives of their own nations. They also networked with other members. As time being, they expressed self-confidence as a member of the organization and gained confidence from others. Then, they worked harder to prepare their own career and children`s future. Their social participation has been gradually expanded from personal to social and national until global levels. As a result, their participation in Korean society is meaningful to improve social integration and self-development. So, social participation of immigrant women is a helpful asset for building a real multi-cultural community in Korea. In the end, this study suggests that Korean government and public organizations need to make systematic social participation structures for immigrants in local communities.

        여성결혼이민자의 학부모 역할에 대한 질적 연구 -수도권의 고학력여성을 중심으로-

        The goal of this study was to describe and understand the perceptions and experiences of marriage immigrant women as school parents. Seven marriage immigrant women participated in this study sharing their experiences as school parents. Their perceptions and experiences were expressed and connected to socio-cultural contexts and relationships with people doing parenting practices and roles. Related to their perceptions, four main themes were discovered: concerns about child`s school entrance, educational view, bilingual support, and preconceived about teacher. Related to their experiences, five main themes were found: educational support, relationship with teacher, school activity, relationship with Korean parents, and family support. Diverse figures of their experiences from the themes were subjectively expressed. Their personal feelings stemmed from ``otherness and difference`` were caused by socioeconomic status, culture, and language. Their parenting practices and roles were also influenced by those. They were suffering to overcome cultural shock and conflict doing parenting practices and roles. Even though some of their parenting practices were followed Koreans parenting styles, such as the focus on academic achievement for their children. They wanted to have equal status in relationships with teachers and Korean parents. They also argued that their children should not be separated or discriminated because of their socio-cultural backgrounds. Their parenting experiences as school parents make Korean parents examine critically ourselves in regard to parenting practices and roles. As a result, this study suggests that Korean society and schools need to change to accept diversity and respect others.

        관계적 및 학교적응 요인이 중학생의 진로태도성숙에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 충청지역의 광역시와 군소도시에 거주하는 중학교 학생들을 대상으로진로태도성숙의 하위요인(결정성, 목적성, 확신성, 준비성, 독립성)들이 관계적요인(부모, 교사, 친구)과 학교적응 요인(학교생활, 수업, 환경)에 의해 어떻게 영향을 받는지 분석하고자 하였다. 이에 550명의 중학생을 대상으로 520부의 자료를 수집하였고 이 중 467부를 SPSS 12.0 통계 프로그램을 활용하여 이들의 진로태도성숙과 관계적·학교적응 요인들 간의 상관관계와 단순회귀분석 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 밝혀진 주요 결과들은 다음과 같다. 첫째,진로태도성숙과 관계적 및 학교적응 간의 상관관계 분석결과, 친구관계가 진로준비성과 독립성에 그리고 학교생활과 수업이 진로준비성에 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 관계적 요인이 진로태도성숙에 영향을 미치는 정도를 살펴본 결과,친구관계가 진로준비성과 독립성에서는 매우 유의미한 영향을 주는 것이 밝혀졌고 부모와 교사관계는 진로결정성에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 중학생들에게 친구요인이 중요함을 다시 한 번 확인한 결과이다. 셋째, 학교적응 요인이 진로태도성숙에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 학교생활이 중학생의 진로결정성과 준비성 그리고 독립성에 매우 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것이 밝혀졌다. 결론적으로 중학생의 진로태도성숙에 영향을 미치는 주요 주변인은 친구이며 학교생활이 이들의 진로준비성과 독립성 성숙에 중요하다는 것을 다시 한 번 확인하였다. 이 결과들을 토대로 학교 내 진로교육 강화, 동아리 활동, 그리고 진로교육연수를 통한 교사의 적극적인 지도의 필요성을 강조하였다. The aim of this study was to examine middle school students`` careerattitude maturity with five career elements(career decisiveness, goal orientation,confidence, preparation, and independence) related to relational(parent, teacher,friend) and school adjustment (school life, instruction, environment) variables. To accomplish this, 467 collected data was passed through correlation, andsimple and multiple regression analysis using SPSS win 12. The main finding was that friend``s support was highly correlated to andsignificantly affected career preparation and independence of the students. Schoollife and instruction were also highly correlated to their career preparation. Parents`` and teachers`` support affected their career decisiveness. Their schoollife was an important factor to influence career decisiveness, preparation, andindependence of the students. Generally, friends`` support and school life of thestudents were the most important factors that affected the students`` careerpreparation and independence. From the findings, this study suggests thatmiddle schools need to provide more vocational education, diverse afterschoolactivities, and teacher training to support middle school students`` career attitude maturity.

        어린이집 교사의 다문화가정 유아 경험을 통한 교육적 노력과 실천

        본 연구는 어린이집 교사의 다문화가정 유아 경험을 통하여 교사들이 어떠한 노력과 실천들을 수행하였는가를 탐색해 보고 이 유아들에 대한 이해를 높이며 교사들에게 필요한 정보와 자료를 제공하고자함에 목적을 두었다. 이에 현상학적 질적 연구방법을 활용하여 연구를 수행하였으며, 다문화가정 유아를 담당하는 보육교사 6명을 대상으로 심층면접을 실시한 결과, 총 18개의 소주제들이 발굴되어 2개의 범주에서 8개의 주제들로 정리되었다. 첫째, 다문화가정 유아에 대한 경험의 범주에서 유아들의 발음 부정확, 어휘력 부족, 주의력 결핍, 혼자놀이 즐김, 소극적이며 모방행동을 하는 모습들이 포착되었다. 식습관은 편식을 하며, 의생활에서는 계절에 맞지 않는 옷을 착용하는 경향이 높았다고 한다. 반면, 이들은 신체활동에는 적극적이고, 그림/숫자를 활용한 학습에서 몰두하는 모습들이 나타났다. 둘째, 교사의 노력과 실천 범주에서, 교사가 유아의 개별적 수준과 특성을 고려한 언어 및 맞춤형 학습지도, 또래관계 개입, 의생활과 식습관 지도 등에서 적극적이었음이 발견되었다. 그 결과, 다문화가정 유아들은 전반적으로 행동의 변화와 함께 언어적 발달, 학습력 향상, 식습관 변화를 보였다고 한다. 하지만, 참여교사들의 이러한 교육적 노력과 실천은 소수자인 다문화가정 유아가 어린이집, 학교, 사회 등에 적응하기 위한 기본적인 소양을 가르치고자 한 것으로 해석된다. 이러한 맥락에서 어린이집 교사 대상 다문화교육 및 연수가 체계적으로 제공될 필요가 있으며 이 유아를 지도하기 위한 교사 지침서와 가이드라인 등을 준비하여 배포 할 것을 제안한다. 또한, 교사들이 현장에서 다양한 유아들을 지도하기 위한 다문화적 교수역량을 강화해야 함을 시사하는 바이다. This aim of this study was to discover the educational efforts and practices of daycare teachers with children from multicultural families. Six teachers of daycare centers participated in this study by sharing their hands-on experiences with the children. From their experiences studied in depth, eight main themes were discovered under two categories. The first category is about teachers’ daily experiences and the second category is about teachers’ teaching practices and efforts. In the first category, main findings were about the teachers’ daily experiences with the children regarding the differences in their language development, peer relations, behavior, eating habits, and ways of being dressed compared to their classmates. Under the second category, the main findings were on teachers’ practices and efforts with the children in regards to their Korean language skills, readiness for school, peer relations, eating habits, and ways of being dressed. From the teachers’ viewpoints, all children changed and developed greatly in all areas. Under the perspective of multicultural education, however, teachers’ efforts and practices with the children were mostly based on the assimilation perspective to help them become members of the Korean society regardless of their multicultural backgrounds. This study suggests that daycare center teachers need to be retrained or educated to better understand multiculturalism in order to teach all children under the multicultural perspective. Also, daycare teacher’s guidebooks or guidelines under the multicultural perspective should be prepared and provided to them.
