This study presents the efficient structural optimization technique using sensitivity analysis for geodesic dome structure. To this end, we practice stress and displacement sensitivity analysis considering structural behavior characteristics of dome structure. Specifically, automated computation of joint coordinates to consider the shape change is required. Also, under the 'constant-shape' assumption, the resizing technique of member is developed. The geodesic dome models considering three groupings are presented to illustrate the features of applied algorithm.

워크스테이션 네트워크 (NOW: Network of Workstations)은 고성능의 병렬 연산을 위한 중요하고 효과적인 기반환경을 제공하고 있다. NOW 환경에서 통신과 동기화 비용은 다중프로세서 시스템보다 상대적으로 매우 크다. NOW에서 병렬 태스크와 통신을 위한 스케줄링 기법의 선택은 시스템의 활용도와 성능에 큰 영향을 미치므로 효과적으로 스케줄링 알고리즘에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 버스 기반의 NOW에서 병렬 태스크를 위한 스케줄링 알고리즘을 제안하고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 통신비용의 변화에 따른 시스템의 성능을 비교한다. 알고리즘은 태스크 중복을 기반으로 하며 통신에 따른 스케줄링 길이를 줄이기 위하여 휴리스틱을 사용한다.
고강도 콘크리트 고온양생 방법의 압축강도 특성에 관한 실험적 연구

Greater emphasis is given to the reduced period of construction and the performance of concrete following recent trend of high-rise and large-sized buildings. Especially, the focus is on the management of concrete quality in the early stages regarding reduced construction period. Domestic and foreign studies have already examined the technique of accelerating the hardness to check the quality of the concrete in a short period of time such as hot water curing and microwave irradiation as a method to check the concrete quality in the early stage. However, there are not many studies that considered such techniques on ultra-high strength concrete. To examine ultra-high strength concrete, tests were conducted on following settings: W/B 20.7%, 80MPa strength for unit quantity 155kg/㎡, and curing in hot water heated to 20, 40, 60, and 80℃ using curing water tank. Three specimens were produced for each age and the mean value was taken for compression strength to reduce error, and mock-up specimens (column, wall) were produced, the core was extracted using KS F 2422 (Method of Obtaining and Testing Drilled Cores and Sawed Beams of Concrete) for the comparison with heated specimen for each age, and the compression strength was measured three times for each age to review field applicability. Also, it appeared that the distribution of pores and hydration products which appears to have impact on the concrete strength was not fully considered, and therefore, the generation and distribution of micropores were observed using mercury intrusion porosimeter and the distribution of microtissue was observed using scanning electron microscope (SEM) to increase the accuracy of the test.

The term monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) denotes the presence of a M-protein in patients without multiple myeloma, macroglobulinemia, amyloidosis, or other related disease. MGUS is characterized by a serum M-protein concentration <3.0g/dL, <5% plasma cells in the bone marrow, either a small amount of M-protein or none at all in the urine, absence of lytic bone lesion, anemia, hypercalcemia, and renal insufficiency, and, most importantly, stability of the M-protein and failure of development of additional abnormalities. Recently we experienced one ease of MGUS associated with Behcet`s disease confirmed by electrophoresis, immunoelectrophoresis and bone marrow biopsy. A 37-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital in 1991 because of migratory joint pain for 2 years. On physical examination oral and genital ulcers were found, and erythematous palpable tender subcutaneous nodules were found also in the forearms and legs. The level of IgG Κ fraction in the serum was 0.52g/dl and the bone marrow biopsy was normal. Initially she had been treated with ibuprofen, prednisolone, colchicine and azathioprine under the diagnosis of Behcet`s disease with MSUS. The concentration of serum M-protein after treatment of four years was 2.69g/dL and she complained only migratory pain in back and extremity, and easy fatigability. Lately she has been managed with the combination of colchicine and azathioprine.

This study presents the optimal alternative evaluation technique of geodesic dome structure according to the member division and grouping method. To this end, we need the automated computation of joint coordinates and numbering for the consideration of shape change effect. Also, the member resizing technique under the 'constant-shape' assumption and the design variable linking technique for member grouping are developed. Specifically, the optimal design formulation and algorithm are presented through the sensitivity analysis technique and the various example models are applied in order to find out optimal alternative of geodesic dome structure.

This study presents an effective stiffness-based optimization technique to control quantitatively lateral drift and to evaluate the structural behavioral characteristics and efficiency for tall outrigger system subject to lateral loads. For this end, displacement sensitivity depending on behavioral characteristics of outrigger system is established and approximation concept that can efficiently solve large scale problems is introduced. Specifically, under the 'constant-shape' assumption, the resizing technique of member is developed. Six types of 60 story frameworks according to the location of outrigger and belt truss are presented to illustrate the features of the quantitative lateral drift control technique.
