<br/> <br/> Mechanical behavior of a plate under mine explosion is explored using dynamic finite element analysis and the results are compared with experimental ones. For this dynamic analysis, we use a constitutive equation in which the strain rate effect is taken into acount. The mine blast energy transmitted to the plate is evaluated using semi-emperical approaches. The energy is assumed to be fully converted into kinetic energy of the plate, and then the initial velocity at every point of the plate is evaluated, which is used as the initial loading condition of the dynamic finite element calculation to estimate deformation of the plate. In comparison with the experimental results the estimation shows reasonable agreement. The effect of various boundary conditions are also examined.<br/>
