The aim of this study is to describe the responses from those who took part in an ELT materials development course for their pre-service or in-service teacher training in Korea. Nineteen pre-service teacher-trainees at a teacher's college were asked to write one lesson of secondary English textbook. Also thirteen MA and PhD students in a TESOL department developed an English test preparation textbook. The overall results from a questionnaire and interviews indicate that they realized materials design was a difficult process which required theoretical understanding of ELT materials design principles. Pre-service teachers reported that they had difficulty in constructing the overall organization of one lesson. Graduate students stressed that materials developers should be well aware of target students' interest. Both groups pointed out that developing ELT materials was much more difficult than they thought, but the rewards were worth it. It could be suggested that materials design practice should be included in teacher training programs to prepare trainees to select, adapt, and develop appropriate materials.

The aim of the present study is to analyze the learners' responses to different types of open and closed tasks in ELT materials. A total of 38 students in an English class at a university in Korea participated in the study. A questionnaire survey was employed to collect their opinions of interest, usefulness and difficulty in the task-materials used in the classroom Their behaviors during the use of task-materials were recorded throughout a video and analysed by independent observers. The learner interviews were held for the purpose of interpreting the questionnaire data. Results from the analysis of the learners' responses are as follows: First. the learners answered that the type of open task was more interesting and useful than the type of closed task. A repeated measure ANOVA revealed that the effect of task type on the learners' self-reported interest was greater than the effect of topic types. Second, the learners' behaviors were positive during the use of open taskmaterials. In conclusion, it might be effective for classroom teachers to use more open task-materials when they intend to generate learners' interest and positive behaviors during the use of materials within the context of university English classroom in Korea.

This study aims to examine English language learning and teaching anxiety among secondary school pre-service English teachers. It also investigates the relationship between the pre-service teachers' anxiety and their personal variables such as English teaching experience, the period of experiencing in English-speaking countries and self-evaluated English proficiency. A total of 157 secondary school pre-service teachers who were Korean majoring in English education at a university in South Korea participated in this study. The FLCAS (Foreign language classroom anxiety scale), FLTAS (Foreign language teaching anxiety scale) and an open-end questionnaire were employed to collect the data. The results of the analysis revealed that the correlation between learning of English language and teaching anxiety were computed as r = .70, indicating a high level of relationship. The pre-service teachers' English language learning and teaching anxiety were found to have negative correlation with their English teaching experience, experience in English-speaking country and self-evaluated English proficiency. Based on the findings, it is proposed that in order to alleviate the anxiety, English teaching strategies and communication strategies should be trained for the Korean pre-service secondary school English teachers.
Augmented Reality에서 GPS와 모델기반 비전 처리를 이용한 향상된 가상 이미지 정합방법

가상현실(Virtual Reality)에서는 가상 환경과 필요한 정보가 모두 가상이므로, 가상 정보만을 보는 사용자에게 일치된 정보를 제공하기가 용이하다. 그러나 이 분야와 유사한 AR(Augmented Reality)에서는 실제 환경과 관련 정보를 결합하여 보고 있으므로, 임의대로 변경이 불가능한 실제 환경에 관련된 가상 정보를 얼마나 정확히 일치하여 나타낼 수 있는가 하는 가상 이미지 정합이 큰 이슈(jssue)가 된다. AR에서 이미지 정합은 실세계 환경을 정확히 가상환경으로 옮기는 과정에서 나오는 오차를 줄이는 것으로 이루어 진다. 본 논문에서는 DGPS(Differential GPS)와 모델기반 비전 처리를 이용하여 향상된 AR 정합 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

로터 공기역학 모사를 위한 수치해석 기법이 제안되었다. 국부적인 유동특성변수를 4차 정확도 내삽의 MUSCL 접근방법을 유한체적 공식에 적용시킴으로써 로터 블레이드로 부터 멀리 떨어져 성긴 격자영역에서의 비 물리적인 수치 확산을 개선시켰다 또한, 유동특성변수에 따라 각각 다른 제한자를 적용함으로써 수치적인 소산작용을 억제하고 수치적 안정성을 높였다. 대표적인 로터 공기역학 응용문제에 적용한 결과 후류포획성능이 크게 개선됨을 확인하였으나 공력소음계산 결과는 전통적인 MUSCL 기법에 비교하여 큰 개선점은 없었다. A numerical method for accurate simulations of rotor aerodynamics is proposed. The numerical diffusion in the typically coarse grids away from the rotor blades is improved by implying a fourth-order of interpolation of local characteristic variables of the flow in the reconstruction stage of MUSCL approach in the framework of a finite volume formulation. In addition, different slope limiters are applied to the different characteristic fields, such as compressive limiters to linear characteristic fields to reduce the numerical dissipation whereas, diffusive limiters to nonlinear characteristic fields to increase numerical stability. Various exemplary problems related to the rotor aerodynamics applications are tested and the numerical results show a significant improvement in wake capturing capability. However, rotor aeroacoustic calculations show no meaningful difference over traditional MUSCL approach.
정지 비행하는 로터 블레이드의 전산 유체-구조 결합 해석

로터 블레이드의 구조변형을 포함한; 제자리 비행하는 로터 블레이드의 공력해석을 수행하였다. 와류포획능력을 향상시킨 전산유체 코드와 간단한 오일러-베르누이 보 모델에 기반을 둔 구조역학 방정식을 결합시켜 회전익 유동에 대한 연계 계산을 수행하였으며 계산결과 타당한 로터블레이드 구조변형 및 공력특성을 얻었다. A numerical study on the coupled fluid-structure for a rotor blade in hover was conducted. Computational fluid dynamics code with enhanced wake-capturing capability is coupled with a simple structural dynamics code based on Euler-Bernoulli’s beam equation. The numerical results show a reasonable blade structural deformation and aerodynamic characteristics.
