This study aimed to suggest the severity of indoor air pollutants in screen gold arenas which were not sufficiently investigated in Korea up to now and to help users to enjoy golf in more pleasant indoor environment. The indoor environment survey was conducted with 21 screen gold arenas in Seoul from Oct. 28, 2008 to March 13, 2009. Indoor air quality was measured and analyzed in accordance with the Air Pollution Process Test Method specified bu NIOSH(2005). The screen golf arenas are mostly in the underground floors in this study, 4 on the ground floors(19.0%) and 17 in the underground floors(81.0%). In the air in screen golf arenas, the geometric mean of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene were 2.92 ㎍/㎥, 70.34 ㎍/㎥, 14.00㎍/㎥ and 31.43 ㎍/㎥, respectively, which exceeded the exposure limites. Each arena exceeded the exposure limit for one pollutant each. However, styrene didn`t exceed the limit as 8.09 ㎍/㎥. Furthermore, the geometric mean of formaldehyde was 63.11㎍/㎥and 7 arenas exceeded the limit. The geometric mean of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) was 428.41㎍/㎥ and 10 arenas exceeded the limit. For the density distribution of pollutants by location, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, styrene and formaldehyde showed higher density distribution in underground spaces, for which the statistically significant difference was not found. However, PM10 showed the statistically significant difference (p<0.05). In accordance with the analysis on the correlation between the density of pollutants in the screen golf arenas, Pearson correlation coefficient between ethylbenzene and styrene was 0.980, very significant correlation(p<0.01). The correlation coefficients between the density of toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene and styrene and that of VOCs were 0.543, 0.434, 0.451 and 0.459, respectively, which demonstrated the statistically significant difference (p<0.05).

It is extremely necessary to use such a secure way to transmit information to a train, which is needed for operating a train. In our system, The information including the allowable velocity of the train, train existence in current area, and other data necessary for operating train, is transmitted in the form of FM signal. Received by the receiver located on train, the signal is filtered, demodulated and analyzed to extract the original information. The analysis of the demodulated signal is done through FFT algorithm using sliding slot. These all are processed digitally by hardware which is implemented by 32bit DSP. The experiments show the validity of the algorithm we presented.

Train control by radio based communication is one of the interesting new fields in train signal. The radio based control has more benefits, low headway and low construction and maintenance cost, than conventional control. In this paper, a safe and efficient train operation is introduced. Triple radio communications, train to train, train to station, and train to central traffic control, are used to increase the reliability. One of these communications channels has a fault; the others can take the functions of it. Absolute position of a train is transmitted to station via radio communication. In the station, the interlocking mechanism should be activated as the legacy.

In this paper, an AF track circuit receiver which is using DSP technique is designed and tested in the Lab. and field. The receiver detects of a train and operates the track relay to inform this occupation to ground equipments. Basic algorithms, digital filters, FM demodulation and DFT are simulated by computer and applied to the receiver. The test of receiver is processed under the LAB condition and the field. Results of the test shows that the response time is less than 500ms. This paper presents that the receiver has good maintenance and less variation of device characteristics and is applicable to the Korea High Speed Line.
CASE 도구를 이용한 ATC 차상 소프트웨어의 UML 모델링

ATC on-board equipment require realtime embedded software with high level of safety and reliability. To satisfy these requirements, many techniques are applied to the development of software during the lifecycle. In case of software modeling, object-oriented methodology is widening its niche replacing traditional structured methodology and modeling in UML using a CASE tool is a growing trend. In this paper, we modeled ATC on-board software in UML using Rhapsody, which is a modeling tool for realtime embedded software. We modeled the behavior of ATC on-board equipment based on state machine diagram and validated the model using the animation feature provided in the tool. According to our study, the CASE tool based on UML showed high level of applicability in modeling and verifying the software with complex behavioral characteristics.
HARMONY 프로세스를 이용한 ERTMS/ETCS 지상 시스템의 요구 및 기능 분석

ERTMS/ETCS is a signalling and control system designed for interoperability between railway networks. In this paper, SysML was used for modeling of the ERTMS/ETCS trackside system. We used use case diagrams and sequence diagrams for requirements analysis and functional analysis. By doing this, we could show that main functions of the ERTMS/ETCS trackside can be described and verified based on scenarios.

A speed of a train is controlled by Automatic Train Control system and the continuous transmission system provide the speed related information in the Korean High Speed Line. The primary objective of this paper is to measure the level of continuous signal and to calculate the message of that signal. A measuring equipment is introduced and the equipment provide the base line of the level of current and the correction information of the message.
