정보검색에서의 어의 중의성 해소를 위한 자동 키워드망의 이용

문서 검색 시스템에서 자동 색인은 필수적이다. 그러나 자동 색인만으로 최적합 문서들을 상위에 위치시키기 불가능하다. 뿐만 아니라 동음이의어를 갖는 부적합한 문서들이 상위에 위치되는 것을 막을 길이 없다. 본 논문에서는 이런 문제를 해소하고 검색 효과를 높이기 위해 2차 검색에 자동 키워드망을 이용하는 두 단계 검색시스템을 연구하였다. 1차 검색은 자동색인으로 만들어진 역색인 파일을 이용하며, 2차 검색은 단어 연관성을 기초로 만든 자동 키워드망을 이용한다. 2차 검색을 위한 문서 순위 재조정 식들을 여러 개 만들어 비교하였으며, 이 식들이 동음이의어 어의 중의성 해소에 얼마나 효과가 있는지 성능을 평가하였다. The automatic indexing is a compulsory part for the text retrieval system. However it is impossible to rank the appropriate texts at top. Furthermore, it is more difficult to prevent to rank the inappropriate texts having homonyms at top by only the automatic indexing. In this paper, we proposed the two-level retrieval system to enhance the retrieval efficiency, in which Automatic Keyword Network (AKN) is used at the second-level process. The firsHevel search is carried out with an inverted index file generated by the automatic indexing. On the other hand the second-level search exploits AKN based on the degree of asslxiation between terms. We have developed several formulas for rearranging the rank of texts at second-level search, and evaluated the performance of the effects of them on resolving the word sense ambiguities.

동적 정보 검색의 설계 및 구현

동적 정보 검색은 정보 검색에 있어서 수시로 변화하는 데이타에 대한 색인 및 검색 방법이다. 기존의 방법은 변화하는 데이타에 대해서 전부를 새로 배치(batch)로 실행해야하는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 색인 화일들을 재구성하여 배치 실행시보다 빠르게, 변화하는 데이타에의 접근이 가능하도록 하는 것이다. 본 논문에서 제시된 방법의 실험은 한국 전자 통신연구소 자연어 처리 연구실에서 개발된 멀티미디어 전자 백과 사전의 하부 화일들에서 행하여졌다. 기존의 시스템에서 새로운 것이 삽입되었을 경우에 배치로 실행시 486PC 환경에서 9시간정도 걸렸으나 제시된 시스템에서는 5분이내로 수행하여 검색이 가능하도록 하였다. 본 문서에서 제시한 동적 정보 검색은 변화하는 정보를 관리를 하는 정보 검색의 분야에 적용될 수 있을 것이다.

미국의 경제적 과제

It is widely known that the Wall Street has consistently shown a positive response to the peace moves in Vietnam, which is in effect a reflection of the popular concern over the gravity of economic as well as political constraints that bind the nation. The Vietnam War has brought, among other things, a very high pressure upon the American economy, creating an inflationary tendency and, in turn, the balance of payment difficulties and a deterioration of the value of the dollar. The economy had already been at a mature stage when the war began to escalate. The domestic boom and the external imbalance should not be construed as mere economic ills; they are intertwined with the basic political and social issues of America today. The United States foreign policy has recently been characterized as one of over-involvement, which has entailed large expenditures overseas in the form of military and economic aids. On the home front, what has prevailed is the other extreme--an under-commitment that has led, for instance, to the urban crisis centering around Negro discontent. The sense of urgency with respect to the racial problem is due largely to the realization that it may affect the stability of American institutions. Little progress has been made in the fight against poverty, which calls forth among Negroes feelings of frustration and of estrangement from the affluent society. The full-scale integration of the Negro population presupposes not only the provision of social security measures but a longer-run approach to raise, their incomes, enabling them to have access to better employment opportunities, housing and education. But such plan requires a large amount of additional government spending, and the American economy is already carrying the burden of considerable fiscal deficits. The nation thus find itself in a dilemma: to counter inflation and yet to spend more at the same time to meet the social question. A truce in Vietnam may make it possible for a major portion of the current military expenditure to be transferred to the internal needs, but it has to be borne in mind that there is a forthright demand for the building of strategic weapons to maintain the American superiority over the Soviet Union. The prosperity of the United States is in part attributable to the basic structural changes that ``occurred with the inception of World War II: economic democracy, the expansion of government, and the oligopolistic realignment. This development has helped remove many a flaw of capitalism, but has been accompanied with several imbalances. There is, for example, the built-in inflation which the wage increase, the excess demand, and the oligopolistic pricing, which are the elements of the new structural arrangement, can all intensify. This is a very crucial issue before the American economy, which is no less important that the need to protect the value of the dollar as a world currency.

Brain tumor surgery may be difficult, but it is also incredibly important. The technological improvements for traditional brain tumor surgeries have always been a focus to improve the precision of surgery and release the potential of the technology in this important area of the body. The need for precision during brain tumor surgery has led to an increase in Robotic-assisted surgeries (RAS). One of the challenges to the widespread acceptance of RAS in the neurosurgery is to recognize invisible tumor accurately. Therefore, it is important to detect brain tumor size and location because surgeon tries to remove as much tumor as possible. In this paper, we proposed brain tumor detection procedures for MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) system. A method of automatic brain tumor detection is needed to accurately target the location of the lesion during brain tumor surgery and to report the location and size of the lesion. In the qualitative assessment, the proposed method showed better results than those obtained with other brain tumor detection methods. Comparisons among all assessment criteria indicated that the proposed method was significantly superior to the threshold method with respect to all assessment criteria. The proposed method was effective for detecting brain tumor.

금융 감독당국의 민원평가제도 도입효과에 대한 분석-생명보험 산업을 중심으로

금융감독원은 2002년도 3월부터 금융소비자 권익의 보호 및 향상을 목적으로 민원평가제도를 도입하였다. 민원평가제도의 도입이 생명보험시장에 지대한 영향을 미쳤을 것으로 예상되지만, 도입된 지 10여년이 지난 지금까지 당해제 도의 도입효과에 대한 구체적이고 실증적인 연구가 전무한 상황이다. 본 연구 는 지난 10여 년 동안 실시되어온 민원평가제도가 생명보험시장에 미친 효과를 분석함으로써 당해제도가 생명보험소비자들과 생명보험회사들에게 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지에 대하여 실증분석을 실시하고자 하였다. 분석결과 민원평가 제도의 도입은 감독당국이 보험소비자들의 불만을 보다 잘 해결해주는 민원 (불만)해결효과를 발생시킨 것으로 나타났다. 그 결과 생명보험소비자들 사이 에 이 기능에 대한 긍정적 구전홍보효과를 파생시켜서 보험소비자들의 불만을 민원의 형태로 감독당국으로 수집해서 모으는 민원수집효과를 발생시킨 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 당해 제도가 보험소비자의 불만발생을 원천적으로 방지함으로 감소시켜주는 민원억제효과를 발생시켰다는 증거는 찾지 못했다. 그리고 소송비율들의 추세를 살펴본 결과 보험사들이 자신을 대상으로 한 민원의 제 기를 차단하기 위해 소송을 이용 하는 민원회피효과의 발생에 대한 정황상의 추정을 할 수 있었다. Financial Supervisory Service introduced ``the financial civil complaint evaluation system`` for the purpose of protecting financial consumer`s interests in 2002. Although this system is supposed to have a major impacts on life insurance market, there has been no research and no empirical analysis on the system. This paper tries to empirically analyze the impact and effectiveness of ``the financial civil complaint evaluation system`` on the life insurance market. The empirical analysis shows that this system produces ``the civil complaints settlement effect``, ``the civil complaints collecting effect``, ``the positive word of mouth``, and ``insurance company`s evasion effect of civil complaints``. However, we does not find out any proof of ``the civil complaints prevention effect``.
