The global market for medical devices is huge, and it will continue showing remarkable growth in the future. However, due to the entry barrier to develop medical devices, many domestic companies have technical problems in entering the medical device industry. In this paper, we introduce an open platform that can help with research and development for companies in the healthcare industry. This open platform consists of a hardware part and a software part. A hardware part is combined into CPU, base and other modules that are easy to replace and assemble. A software part is based on application software for development developed by Bionet. We test the performance of the open medical device platform using a biosignal processing algorithm. Brain tumor surgery may be difficult, but it is also incredibly important. The technological improvements for traditional brain tumor surgeries have always been a focus to improve the precision of surgery and release the potential of the technology in this important area of the body. The need for precision during brain tumor surgery has led to an increase in Robotic-assisted surgeries (RAS). One of the challenges to the widespread acceptance of RAS in the neurosurgery is to recognize invisible tumor accurately. Therefore, it is important to detect brain tumor size and location because surgeon tries to remove as much tumor as possible. In this paper, we proposed brain tumor detection procedures for MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) system. A method of automatic brain tumor detection is needed to accurately target the location of the lesion during brain tumor surgery and to report the location and size of the lesion. In the qualitative assessment, the proposed method showed better results than those obtained with other brain tumor detection methods. Comparisons among all assessment criteria indicated that the proposed method was significantly superior to the threshold method with respect to all assessment criteria. The proposed method was effective for detecting brain tumor.

The nonlinear characteristics for hinge of a deployable missile control fin are investigated experimentally. The nonlinearity is caused by a worn or loose hinge and manufacturing tolerance and cannot be eliminated completely. The structural nonlinearity has an effect on the static and dynamic characteristics of the control fin. Therefore, it is necessary to establish the accurate nonlinear model for the hinge of the control fin. In the present study the existence of nonlinearities in the hinge is confirmed from the frequency response experiments such as tip random excitation and base sine sweep. Using the system identification method. especially, ″Force-state Mapping Technique″, the types of nonlinearities are identified and the nonlinear hinge model of the control fin is established.
관광자원개발사업 평가: 집행 및 완료단계 사업을 중심으로

The purpose of this study was to determine the assessment items assessing performance of tourism resource development projects, especially focusing on projects under executing and finishing phases. Objectives were 1) to determine assessment items by reviewing related literatures and analyzing data collected from tourism experts and government officials; 2) to determine relative weights among assessment items by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process; and 3) to provide the guidelines which would be applied to assess the performance of tourism resource development projects. Broadly five main assessment items were determined such as driving force to the projects, development potential, outcomes of the projects, management and sustainability of the projects, and development effectiveness. The development effectiveness was the highest ranked item (0.285), followed by management and sustainability of the projects (0.237), outcomes of the projects (0.216), driving force to the projects (0.157), and development potential (0.105). The development plan and monitoring system (0.133) was the highest ranked sub-items by analyzing global weight, followed by contribution level to regional economics (0.104), and resource and facility management (0.104). It was suggested that further research should be carried out to determine more objective assessment items.
AHP를 활용한 관광레저도시 핵심사업 선정 의사결정에 관한 연구- 서남해안 관광레저도시를 중심으로 -

The purpose of this study is to develop a decision-making model in tourism development for Southwest Coast Tourism & Leisure City Project and to suggest an investment decision-making model to public sectors including the government, local government, and the relevant authorities and organizations for rational investment on tourism development in the future. First, the analysis showed the facility realizability is the most important factor to be considered for a large scale tourism development at the higher level classification, followed by economic feasibility of facilities, facility attractiveness, and environmental feasibility of facilities. Second, the relative importance of subordinates of each factors at the higher lever was showed as follows; in terms of the facility realizability, demand adequacy is the most important followed by investment rationality, policy correspondence, contracting. Third, the analysis showed that the core business priorities of Southwest Coast Tourism & Leisure City Project are as follows: north coast sports district, south tourism district, lake city district, central district. Fourth, a sensitive analysis showed that facility realizability and facility attractiveness did not impact much on the core business priorities. This empirical study suggested a new decision making tool for selecting business priority and facilities for Southwest Coast Tourism & Leisure City Project. This study ranks the business and facility priorities on Southwest Coast Tourism & Leisure City Project using AHP method. However, it is required that opinion gap among professional groups should be narrowed.
