최근 세계적으로 환경보호에 대한 관심이 고조됨에 따라 기술개발 방향이 환경을 고려한 규정 및 장치에 제한을 받고 있다. 따라서 냉동 공조 기기에 사용되는 기존의 CFC계열 냉매가 오존층 파괴의 주 원임이 판명됨에 따라 환경 문제가 없는 HCFC계열인 R123와 HFC R134a로의 대체가 불가피하게 되었다.

The two-stage electrostatic air cleaner is a particle control device that uses electrical forces to move particles in the flowing gas stream onto collector plates. Despite a general understanding of electrostatic air cleaner operation and their successful use in industry, many questions regarding flow, electric fields and particle collection have remained unanswered. In this paper, an experimental investigation for designing the discharge electrode, including ionizer wire diameter, plate length and wire-to-plate spacing, is carried out. The electrical conditions, namely the electric field intensity, the space current and the particle charge intensity, in wire-plate electrostatic air cleaner are reported and examined.

Objectives of this paper are to investigate the effect of roughness of micro-hatching tubes on the absorption performance and to develop on experimental correlation of Nusselt as a function of the roughness. Three different micro-scale hatched tubes and a bare tube were tested in the present experiment. $H_{2}O/LiBr$ solution is used as working fluid. It was found that absorption performance of micro-scale hatched tubes were improved upto 2 times with an error band of ${\pm}25%$ compared with the bare tube. An experimental correlation of Nusselt was developed as a function of the roughness.
