        초기성인기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 부모 역할 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구

        본 연구의 목적은 초기성인기 자녀를 둔 중년기 아버지들이 부모로서 어떠한 경험을 하고 있는지 탐색하여 그 경험의 의미를 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 초기성인기 자녀를 1명 이상 둔 아버지 총 11명을 심층면접하고, 수집된 자료를 현상학적 연구방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 총 25개의 의미단위와 11개의 주제를 중심으로 4가지 범주가 도출되었다. 구체적으로 4가지 범주는 ‘확장된 자녀청소년기와 지연된 자녀독립기’, ‘자녀의 발달에 따른 아버지 역할의 변화’, ‘아버지로부터 영향을 받은 부모 역할에 대한 인식’, ‘노년기를 맞이하기’로 나타났다. 결론적으로 첫째, 본 연구에 참여한 아버지들은 취업에 어려움을 경험하는 성인 자녀에 대한 걱정과 안쓰러움을 느끼고 있었고, 성인 자녀의 진로에 관심을 가지고 지원하였으며, 자신의 성인기와 다른 자녀의 모습을 수용하려고 노력하였다. 둘째, 본 연구 참가자들은 자녀를 양육하는데 있어서 아버지 역할의 중요성을 뒤늦게 깨달았고, 어린 시기에는 그들과 친밀한 관계를 맺지 못했지만 아버지 자신의 노력을 통해 부모-자녀 관계가 변화됨을 느끼게 되었다. 셋째, 자신의 부모로부터 물려받은 양육에서 벗어나 자녀와 친밀하게 지내려 하였으며, 성인 자녀를 위해 끊임없는 희생을 보였다. 넷째, 성인 자녀를 둔 아버지들은 부모 역할을 성공적으로 해나가야 함과 동시에 자식으로서 노부모를 보살피고 앞으로 다가올 자신의 노년기를 준비해야 한다고 인식하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 초기성인기 자녀를 둔 아버지를 위한 중재 프로그램을 개발하는 데 학문적 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. The purpose of this study was to understand the nature of the experience of middle-aged fathers as parents of an early-adult child. For this purpose, we interviewed eleven fathers with one or more early-adult child and analyzed the collected data using the phenomenological method. As a result, four categories, eleven topics, and twenty-five semantics were emerged. The four categories were ‘extended child adolescence and delayed child independence’, ‘changes in the father’s role with child development’, ‘awareness of the parental role influenced by the father’, and ‘facing old age’. In conclusion, first, the fathers who participated in the study were concerned and felt sorry for their early-adult children who had difficulty finding a job, and supported and remained interested the careers of their early-adult children. Second, the participants in this study belatedly realized the importance of fatherhood in raising children, and although they did not have close relationships with their children in their early years, the fathers’ own efforts led to changes in the parent-child relationship. Third, fathers with early-adult children attempted to get along with their children by escaping from the parenting inherited from their parents, and made constant sacrifices for their early-adult children. Finally, fathers with early-adult children recognized that they should successfully play the role of a parent while also taking care of their elderly parents as children and preparing for their upcoming old age. The results of this study provide academic data for the development of intervention programs for middle-aged fathers with unmarried adult children.

        청소년 미혼모의 부모 역할 경험에 관한 질적 연구

        Objective: The purpose of this study was to understand the nature of the experience of adolescent unmarried mothers. Methods: For this purpose, we interviewed seven adolescent unmarried mothers and analyzed the collected data using the psychological phenomenological method. Results: As a result, three categories, nine topics, and twenty-seven meaning units emerged. The three theme categories are as follows: (1) the crisis and change of pregnancy and childbirth, (2) use of social support networks, and (3) career development in adulthood that has entered unexpectedly. This study suggests that the meaning of parenthood for adolescent unmarried mothers is derived by examining the difficulties experienced in rearing their children and the process of overcoming difficulties. Conclusions: The results of this study provide academic data for the development of intervention programs for adolescent unmarried mothers.

        반영팀 형식의 집단 슈퍼비전 경험 연구: 아동보호전문기관 상담원을 대상으로

        This study is a qualitative study on the experiences of counselors in child protection agencies that participated in the form of a reflecting team for the solution-focused family therapy approach for the supervision of child abuse family counseling cases. Although the use of the reflection team in social constructivist interventions is universal, I would like to explore the meaning and applicability of the reflection team in the field of Korean counseling. In-depth interviews with counselors or counselors from child protection agencies were conducted to identify and organize important themes. Participants were able to escape from the problem-centered view of the family, understand the case from different perspectives, and gather extensive experience in how to approach the case by reflecting various opinions. Group supervision in the form of a reflection team, centered on counselors for child protection agencies, helped counselors find the strengths of child abuse families and allowed them to value minor changes.

        다문화 가족 어머니들의 유아기 자녀양육 경험에 대한 해석현상학적 연구

        This study aimed to explore parenting experiences of preschool-age children`s mothers from multi-cultural families. An interpretive phenomenological approach was applied to better understand how the mothers perceive and describe their parenting experiences as marriage immigrant women. Data were collected through two semi-structured, in-depth interviews for 10 participants and analyzed by the interpretive phenomenological method suggested by Smith and Osborn<sup>[52].</sup> Results showed interconnected relations among the participants` parental beliefs based on mother country`s culture, acculturation to Korean culture, parenting behaviors, and self-awareness/evaluation as a parent. Two overarching themes, `comparisons of parenting behaviors between Korean mothers and multi-cultural mothers` and `parenting experience of multi-cultural family mothers as immigrants in Korea society,` emerged. With understanding of multi-cultural family mother`s parenting as an organic whole, proper and systematic intervention approaches can be developed.

        어머니의 아동기 부모애착, 결혼만족도 및 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계

        Objective: This study examined the pathways from mothers’ childhood attachment to parents to psychological well-being. In addition, the mediating role of marital satisfaction on the relationship between childhood attachment to parents and psychological well-being was investigated. Methods: A total of 294 mothers with preschool-aged children responded to questionnaires regarding childhood attachment to parents, marital satisfaction, and psychological well-being. The data were analyzed using SEM. Results: Mothers’ childhood attachment to their mothers had a direct effect on psychological wellbeing and an indirect effect on psychological well-being through marital satisfaction. That is, mothers who had secure childhood attachment to their mothers showed a high level of psychological well-being. In addition, mothers with secure childhood attachment to their mothers tended to be more satisfied with their marriage, which led to higher levels of psychological wellbeing. However, mothers’ childhood attachment to their fathers did not have significant effects on either their marital satisfaction or psychological well-being. Conclusion: These findings emphasize the importance of mothers’ positive relationships with their mothers and husbands in promoting psychological well-being.

        취업모의 일—가정갈등이 학령 초기 아동의 스마트폰 의존에 미치는 영향: 우울과 양육행동의 순차적 매개효과

        Objectives: This study examined the processes linking employed mothers’ work-family conflicts and early school-age children’s smartphone dependency, focusing on the sequential mediational role of employed mothers’ depression and parenting behaviors. Methods: Data were collected from 310 employed mothers in South Korea with children between 1<SUP>st</SUP> and 3<SUP>rd</SUP> grades (boys: 153, girls: 157) at elementary school. Only mothers and their early school-age children with their own smartphones participated in the current study. A sequential mediational model was analyzed using the PROCESS for macro program. Results: First, employed mothers’ work-family conflict had a significant direct effect on children’s smartphone dependency. Second, neither depression nor parenting behavior was a significant single mediator in the relationship between employed mothers’ work-family conflicts and children’s smartphone dependency. Third, the indirect path linking employed mothers’ work-family conflicts and children’s smartphone dependency through depression and parenting behavior was significant, and the sequential mediational model was supported. Conclusion: These findings highlight the importance of understanding the mechanisms that facilitate the development of early school-age children’s smartphone dependency. This study focused on the role of work-family conflicts to highlight how employed mothers’ difficulties with dual responsibilities for work and family may be linked to their less optimal emotional and behavioral functioning which may lead to smartphone dependency in early school-age children.
