It is impossible to repair the meniscal tear when the torn fragment has severe degenerative change, or when the displaced torn fragment is not reduced into antatomic position due to loss of substance or deformation of torn fragmeat. Therefore arthroscopic partial meniscectomy is indicated at these situations. Sometimess it is extremely difficult to resect mthroscopicaUy the posterior attachment of tom fragment of rnadial meniscus through standard anterior two or three portals because of poor arthroscopic visual field and a narrow space for passing of instruments. The purpose of tbis paper is showing the three arthmscpic surgical techniques resecting the posterior attachment of torn fragment using posteromedial portal. The advaatages of these techniques are to minimize the damage of articular cartilage, to prevent inadequate resection af posterior attachrnent of torn fragment, to prevent inadequate resection of posterior attachment of torn fragment, to prevent the damage to articular cartilage and remaining meniscal tisssue and to avoid the ge of posterior cruciate ligament and vascular structures,

The propagation constant associated with a traveling wave propagating along a cavity-backed slot in an infinity ground plane is investigated. Using the null field integral equation, the fields are expressed as integral equations in each region, and pulse basis functions give the distribution of the magnetic current at the aperture. The iterative method of moments(MoM) solution is used to determine the appropriate propagation constant for the traveling wave by forcing the determinant of the admittance matrix to zero. Numerical results involving different combinations of the parameters are presented in terms of α-β diagram. From these results, a desired aperture distribution of traveling wave slot antenna will be obtained without excessive phase change by placing an iris of variable width (a-b) over TE-excited guide.

Most of the current commercial database system supports retrieval of image data. But these system support the retrieval of image data by comment-based method using text information. This paper proposeda method calculates 2-dimensional histogram from a binary image which is obtained from an original gray level image and uses it as shape information of an image. A new similarity measure which uses the 2-dimensional histogram values is proposed in this paper. And the proposed method uses HSI color model. In order to obtain color information, the method subdivides an image into 16 subimages and evaluates similarities based on H and I histograms on each subimages. By evaluating a similarity on each subimage basis, we can obtain some location information which is not available in ordinary color histogram and improve the accuracy of image retrieval. In order to verify the proposed schemes, an image retrieval system is implemented using JAVA and some retrieval simulations are performed. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme retrieves candidate images accurately.
조정자가 있는 병열 분산 다변수 퍼지시스템의 계층적 구조

다변수 퍼지시스템의 설계에 있어서 제어규칙분해는 복잡한 문제를 간단하게 하기 때문에 효율적인 추론방법이다. 그러나 일부 시스템에서는 Gupta의 분해방법이 지닌 근사성으로 말미암아 추론오차가 반드시 발생하게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 제어규칙 분해방법이 다변수 퍼지시스템에 적용될 수 있는가를 판단하는 적용기준지수를 정의한다. 또한 조정자가 있는 병열 분산 다변수 퍼지시스템의 계층적 추론구조를 제안한다. For the design of multivariable fuzzy control systems decomposition of control rules is a efficent inference method since it alleviates the complexity of the problem. In some systems, however, inference error of the Gupta's decomposition method is inevitable because of its approximate nature. In this paper we define indices of applicability which decides whether the decomposition method can be applied to a multivariable fuzzy system or not. We also propose a hierarchical structure of parallel distributed multivariable fuzzy systems with coordinator.
