LED(Light Emitting Diode) is a powerful device used in applications as diverse as replacements for aviation lighting, automotive lighting as well as in traffic signals. This study is to propose a prediction system based on the degradation model of LED which is determined by combining scale and shape parameter. The degradation model is analysed goodness of fit test using calculated R-square, and is compared with previous models. A LED prediction system using degradation model is developed to automate estimations of degradation parameters and lifetimes.

The reliability prediction analysis is a feedback tool that designer uses to provide insight into the component designs. This insight may indicate sensitive components within the design. This paper examines predicted failure rates for hybrid dc-dc converter for spacecraft using MIL-HDBK-217F prediction methodology. The results from part count/stress analysis represent priority components that affect the converter failures. The high priority components are analyzed to find out stress factor based on MIL-HDBK-217F. This information provides an opportunity for designer to improve the reliability of the product in development process.

BLDC(Brushless Direct Current) motor is a powerful device to control the automotive electronic components used in green cars such as HEV/EVs(Hybrid Electric Vehicle and Electric Vehicle). This study is to propose reliability test items derived through pretesting, suitability analysis abd classification of previous BLDC motor tests. For environmental stress tests are determined by analysing environmental conditions and relevant failure mechanisms induced by climate loads, mechanical loads, chemical loads, etc. ATL and HALT are also considered for life testing and screening.
