PURPOSES : This study deals with the traffic accidents classified by the traffic analysis zone. The purpose is to develop the accident density models by using zonal traffic and socioeconomic data. METHODS : The traffic accident density models are developed through multiple linear regression analysis. In this study, three multiple linear models were developed. The dependent variable was traffic accident density, which is a measure of the relative distribution of traffic accidents. The independent variables were various traffic and socioeconomic variables. CONCLUSIONS : Three traffic accident density models were developed, and all models were statistically significant. Road length, trip production volume, intersections, van ratio, and number of vehicles per person in the transportation-based model were analyzed to be positive to the accident. Residential and commercial area ratio and transportation vulnerability ratio obtained using the socioeconomic-based model were found to affect the accident. The major arterial road ratio, trip production volume, intersection, van ratio, commercial ratio, and number of companies in the integrated model were also found to be related to the accident.

For running, a legged robot is approximated into the spring loaded inverted pendulum and its CG(center of gravity) trajectory is obtained from ball on the rebound. However, its swinging and supporting leg motion are important to run stably. In previous works, the trajectories deviate from the workspace of legs and make the robots unstable. In this paper, we propose an elliptic trajectory generation method for legged robots to generate stable running motion trajectory. Elliptic trajectory enable robot to modify each angle and angular velocity of legs at touchdown and take-off according to the running speed. To check the performance and effectiveness, a series of galloping computer simulation with a 2-legged robot in the sagittal plane are performed. These simulation results show that the proposed generation method is effective for galloping locomotion.
AlGaN Barrier 및 GaN Buffer 두께 변화에 따른 AlGaN/GaN HEMT 소자의 트랜스컨덕턴스 및 항복전압 동작 특성 향상에 관한 시뮬레이션 연구

In this study, we investigated the DC characteristics of AlGaN/GaN high-electron-mobility transistor (HEMT) by modulating the thicknesses of AlGaN barrier and GaN buffer. As the AlGaN barrier thickness was decreased, transconductance (gm) was increased due to the drop of distance between gate and channel. In addition, increase of GaN buffer thickness resulted in improvement of breakdown voltage owing to the reduction of substrate leakage current. Consequently, simulation results will help to design AlGaN/GaN HEMTs that show higher gm and breakdown characteristics.

본 실험에서는 낮은 음의 온도계수를 갖는 저온 소결 유전체에 대해 연구하였다. 새로 개발된 재료의 조성은 Ti$O_2$(100-X) CuOx(X=1~5wt%)에 미량의 Mn$O_2$를 첨가 하였다. CuO를 첨가하지 않은 경우에는 저온 (90$0^{\circ}C$) 에서 소결이 진행되지 않았다. CuO 함량이 증가할수록 저온에서 소결이 가능하였으나, 유전율이 낮아지고 유전손실은 증가 하였다. Mn$O_2$를 0.6wt% 첨가한 경우 유전율과 Q값이 가장 높게 나타났다. Low-firing dielectric materials with negative small temperature coefficients were investigated. The newly developed materials are based on Ti$O_2$(100-x)/ CuOx(X=1~5wt%) with small amount of Mn$O_2$ additive. The sample without CuO was not sintered at 90$0^{\circ}C$. As CuO content was increased the sample could be sintered at low temperature. However, the dielectric constant was decreased and the dielectric loss was increased. In the case of adding 3wt% CuO and 0.6wt% Mn$O_2$, the dielectric constant and the Q values appeared very high.

As the structure of a mobile phone becomes large and thin to catch up with a slim product trend, the reliability of a LCD module is on the rise as a big issue for a product design. To prevent cracking LCD, the impact resistance for mobile phones design is especially the primary consideration. As the method, shock absorbers such as rubber are inserted into the LCD structure. In this work, the shock absorb characteristics of rubber were examined by experimental and finite element method in the characterized condition as an environment for using a mobile phone. The ABAQUS/Explicit was used for finite element analysis as dynamic modulus. The impact absorbing ratio of the LCD rubber was studied order to compare the displacement curve of the test phone with the inserted rubber part.

This study deals with the traffic accident of circular intersections. The purpose of the study is to develop the accident models by traffic violation type. In pursuing the above, this study gives particular attention to analyzing various factors that influence traffic accident and developing such the optimal models as Poisson and Negative binomial regression models. The main results are the followings. First, 4 negative binomial models which were statistically significant were developed. This was because the over-dispersion coefficients had a value greater than 1.96. Second, the common variables in these models were not adopted. The specific variables by model were analyzed to be traffic volume, conflicting ratio, number of circulatory lane, width of circulatory lane, number of traffic island by access road, number of reduction facility, feature of central island and crosswalk.
