The numerical study on the waterhammer was carried out for the intake pumping station of the metropolitan water supply 6th stage project. Because the waterhammer problems as a result of the pump power failure were the most important, these situations were carefully investigated. The surge tank and the stand pipes effectively protected the tunnels md the downstream region of pipeline from the pressure surge. In case the moment of inertia of the pump and motor was above $5080\;kg{\cdot}m^2$, the column separation did not occur in the pipeline between the pumping station and the inlet of 1st tunnel. As the moment of inertia increased, the pressure surges decreased in the pipeline conveying raw water. The pump control valve was chosen as the main surge suppression device for the intake pumping station. After power failure, the valve disc should be rapidly closed in 2.5 seconds and controlled the final closure to 15 seconds by the oil dashpot. If the slamming happened to the pump control valve, there was some danger of this system damaging. As the reverse flow through the valve increased, the upsurge extremely increased.

The field tests on the waterhammer were carried out for PalDang intake pumping station of the metropolitan water supply 5th stage project. The pumping station was equipped with the pump control valve as the main surge suppression device and the surge relief valve as auxiliary. However, the pump control valve had not been early controlled in the planned closing mode, and the slamming occurred to the valve which abruptly closed during the large reverse flow. Because the pressure wave caused by the pump failure was superposed on the slam surge, the upsurge increased so extremely that the shaft of the valve was damaged. It was desirable that the surge relief valve was installed in the pumping station or near the pump exit for the delay of response. After reforming the oil dashpot of the pump control valve, the sliming disappeared and the measured pressure was in fairly good agreement with the results of simulation. In case of three pumps for ${\phi}2,600$ pipeline being simultaneously tripped, the pressure head in the pumping station increased to 95.6 m, and the upsurge caused by the emergency stop of four pumps for ${\phi}2,800$ pipeline was 89.6m. We concluded that the pumping station acquired the safety and reliability for the pressure surge.

본 논문은 선박 감시 시스템에서 수집된 데이터를 통계적 분석을 통해 고장유무를 진단할 수 있는 통계적 방법 기반의 고장진단시스템을 제안한다. 이를 위해 선박엔진데이터를 연소계통, 열교환계통, 그리고 전동기 및 펌프계통으로 분류하고 이들 데이터 간 상관계수를 분석하여 고장진단을 위해 필요한 전문가지식기반의 진단테이블을 도출한다. 고장진단성능을 테스트하기 위해 실제 운항데이터에 고장의 원인이 될 수 있는 외란을 삽입하여 고장유무를 판단하며 이를 사용자편의의 인터페이스로 제공하기 위해 VC++로 고장진단시스템을 구현한다. This paper proposes fault diagnosis system which is able to diagnose the fault from present operating condition by analyzing monitored signals with present ship monitoring system without additional sensors. For this all kinds of ship`s engine room monitored data are classified with combustion subsystem, heat exchange subsystem and electric motor and pump subsystem by analyzing ship`s operation data. To extract dynamic characteristics of these subsystems, log book data of container ship of H shipping company are used.

This paper deals with RLS algorithm using Newton-Raphson method based adaptive forgetting factor for a passive telemetry RF sensor system in order to estimate the time variant parameter to be included in RF sensor model. For this estimation with RLS algorithm, phasor typed RF sensor system modelled with inductive coupling principle is used. Instead of applying constant forgetting factor to estimate time variant parameter, the adaptive forgetting factor based on Newton-Raphson method is applied to RLS algorithm without constant forgetting factor to be determined intuitively. Finally, we provide numerical examples to evaluate the feasibility and generality of the proposed method in this paper.
Unscented Kalman Fiter를 이용한 원격 RF 센서 시스템의 파라메타 추정기법

본 연구는 UKF Algorithm올 이용한 정전용량형 원격RF센서시스템을 개발하였다. 원격 RF센서 시스템이란 wireless, implantable 그리고 batterless을 만족하는 센서 시스템을 의미한다. 기존의 원격 RF센서 시스템은 보편적으로 집적회로 타입을 채택하지만, 그 구조의 복잡성과 전력소모의 제약을 받는다. 이러한 제약을 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 R, L 그리고 C만으로 구성되어있는 유도결합원리를 이용한 원격 RF센서 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 RF 센서 시스템은 압력 혹은 습도와 같은 환경의 변화를 정전용량 값으로 측정할 수 있으며 센서의 정전 용량 값을 측정하기 위해 비선형시스템의 파라메타추정에 적합한 Unscented Kalman Filter(UKF) 기법을 채택하였다. UKF 기법을 이용하기 위해 제안된 시스템은 페이저법을 사용하여 수학적으로 모델링되었다. 마지막으로, 제안된 UKF 알고리즘을 이용한 원격 RF센서시스템이 잡음환경에서도 정전용량값을 비교적 정확하게 추정가능함을 확인하였다.

In this paper, Passive Telemerty RF Sensor System using Unscented Kalman Filter algorithm (UKF) is proposed. General Passive Telemerty RF Sensor System means that it should be "wireless", "implantable" and "batterless". Conventional Passive Telemerty RF Sensor System adopts Integrated Circuit type, but there are defects like complexity of structure and limit of large power consumption in some cases. In order to overcome these kinds of faults, Passive Telemetry RF Sensor System based on inductive coupling principle is proposed in this paper. Because passive components R, L, C have stray parameters in the range of high frequency such as about 200[㎑] used in this paper, Passive Telemetry RF Sensor System considering stray parameters has to be derived for accurate model identification. Proposed Passive Telemetry RF Sensor System is simple because it consists of R, L and C and measures the change of environment like pressure and humidity in the type of capacitive value. This system adopted UKF algorithm for estimation of this capacitive parameter included in nonlinear system like Passive Telemetry RF Sensor System. For the purpose of obtaining learning data pairs for UKF Algorithm, Phase Difference Detector and Amplitude Detector are proposed respectively which make it possible to get amplitude and phase between input and output voltage. Finally, it is verified that capacitive parameter of proposed Passive Telemetry RF Sensor System using UKF algorithm can be estimated in noisy environment efficiently.
RLS 알고리즘을 이용한 원격 RF 센서 시스템의 정전용량 파라메타 추정

In this paper, Capacitive Telemetry RF Sensor System using Recursive Least Square (RLS) algorithm was proposed. General Telemetry RF Sensor System means that it should be "wireless", "implantable" and "batterless". Conventional Telemetry RF Sensor System adopts Integrated Circuit type, but there are many defects like complexity of structure and the limitation of large power consumption in some cases. In order to overcome these disadvantages, Telemetry RF Sensor System based on inductive coupling principle was proposed in this paper. Proposed Telemetry RF Sensor System is very simple because it consists of R, Land C and measures the changes of environment like pressure and humidity in the type of capacitive value. This system adopted RLS algorithm for estimation of this capacitive parameter. For the purpose of applying RLS algorithm, proposed system was mathematically modelled with phasor method and was quasi-linearized. As two parameters such as phase and amplitude of output voltage for estimation were needed, Phase Difference Detector and Amplitude Detector were proposed respectively which were implemented using TMS320C2812 made by Texas Instrument. Finally, It is verified that the capacitance of proposed telemetry RF Sensor System using RLS algorithm can be estimated efficiently under noisy environment.
