Born in French Martinique to mulatto parents, Cyrille Bissette (1795-1858) built a peculiar political career moving back and forth between metropole and the colonies. During the Bourbon Restoration, he presented himself as a political victim of colonial injustice. During the July Monarchy, Bissette became renowned as the fighter for color equality and one of the most militant abolitionists in France. After the abolition of slavery in 1848, he gloriously returned to his native Martinique and won in the first election under the Second Republic. However, in this election he allied with his former enemy, the ex-white planters, to win against the republicans. After this ``betrayal``, his name was erased from history and memory of liberty and emancipation. Rediscovering his forgotten political career, this article delves into Bissette`s antislavery campaign which he appropriated for the purpose of political liberation of free people of color. He mobilized the sources from African Diaspora to prove that non-whites were “entitled” to be fully included in the French national community. In particular, he provided alternative narratives for the French and Haitian Revolutions, and defended the undeniably deteriorating conditions of Haiti. Here, Bissette`s abolitionism imagined the triangular relationship of three places-France, Africa, and Haiti-weaving them into a transatlantic design of liberation. In the process, this chapter examines how Bissette presented African diasporic identity as a ticket for inclusion into the French nation and re-envisioned “Frenchness” and French citizenship in relation to race, colonies, and “Africanness” for making his own brand of French assimilationism. 노령자를 고려한 병원사인디자인의 현황 분석

연구배경 정보장애인이란 시각장애인이나 청각장애인처럼 정보입수에 필요한 기관에 장애를 가지고 있음으로 인해 건강한 사람과 비교해서 정보입수에 제한을 갖는 사람들을 말한다. 특히 제한적인 시간에 많은 정보를 인지해야하는 병원이용자 중 시각, 청각, 지각 장애가 있는 노령자에게 정보를 입수하는데 어려움은 절실하므로 그 정도에 대한 배려가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 병원사인디자인의 시각커뮤니케이션 시스템을 노령자 관점에서 개선점을 알아보고자 한다. 연구방법 본 연구는 노령자 관점에서 병원사인디자인의 사례를 살펴보고자 국내병원 9개소(종합병원 2개소, 대학병원 6개소, 요양병원 1개소)와 국외병원 7개소를 대상으로, 시각커뮤니케이션 디자인(사인디자인 중심)들을 현장조사와 문헌조사, 인터넷 자료(국외 사례조사) 그리고 병원 이용자 관찰조사를 중심으로 조사하고 종합적인 시각커뮤니케이션 디자인시스템을 분석 하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 사인위치계획(공간)이 세워져야 한다, 둘째, 노약자배려계획(위치, 크기, 높이)이 적극적이어야 한다. 셋째, 컬러정보계획(표시)을 과감히 도입해야 한다. 연구 결과로 파악된 노인복지서비스의 병원디자인 비교. 분석 자료는, 의료서비스경험디자인(HXD : Healthcare eXperience Design)차원에서 종합적이고 장기적 안목에서의 관련 디자인분야의 전체적인 재정비 필요성을 나타내었다. 결론 향후 노령자 관점의 병원사인디자인 개발 방향은 심미적 차원을 넘어 원활한 커뮤니케이션 역할로 인해 시너지 효과를 가지고 효율적인 차별화, 이미지 상승을 도모할 수 있도록 하여야 할 것이다. 효과적인 노인복지서비스는 안정감과 일체감, 자존감을 고취할 수 있는 계기가 되고 노령자뿐만 아니라 일반 병원 이용자 모두에게 효과를 가져 오는 데 중요한 역할을 할 것이다. Background The information disabled people is the people who has problems in obtaining information like the blind or the deaf in comparison with healthy people. Because a lot of information on the limited time should be aware at the hospital, careful consideration is needed for older people who has visual, auditory and perceptual impairments. In this study, we want to know the improvements about visual communication systems in hospital design in terms of senior services. Methods This study surveyed visual communication design(center of the sign design) in 9 local hospitals(2 General hospitals, 6 University hospitals, 1 Convalescent hospital) and 7 foreign hospitals with field research, literature search and internet search(case study of foreign countries) and analyzed comprehensive visual communications design system in order to review cases of hospital design in terms of senior services. Result First, the Space Planning must be put. Second, the elder consideration plan(location, size, height) must be active. Third, the color information plan(display) should be introduced with a blitz. As results of research, a Comparative hospital analysis of senior services was indicating the necessity of reforming its overall design business in terms of HXD( Healthcare eXperience Design). Conclusion Next senior services design in hospital, with smooth communication, should be able to promote differentiated and enhanced image. Effective senior services will do an opportunity to instill the sense of unity and stability, dignity and will play an important role to all users, as well as the aged.

정치적 기회주의에 대한 역사학적 접근

이 논문은 프랑스혁명사연구소 소장인 피에르 세르나의 『변절자들의 공화국』을 통해 혁명사의 새로운 흐름을 돌아보고자 한다. 세르나는 정치적 변절이나 기회주의를 단순히 도덕적으로 단죄할 것이 아니라 위기의 시대에 나타난 집합적 정치 현상으로 설명할 수 있는 역사학적 틀을 구축해야 한다고 주장한다. 세르나는 ‘바람개비(girouette)’로 표상되는 변절자라는 인물상이 혁명 이후 프랑스 정치와 문화에 만연했는데, 이것이야말로 근대 프랑스 정치사를 관통하는 핵심이라고 말한다. 변절자라는 인물상이 부상한 것은 ‘중도’를 표방한 엘리트 국가 관료층이 정권들의 부침 속에서도 계속 행정권을 장악했기 때문이었다. 세르나는 프랑스사의 고질적 문제는 흔히 말하는 좌우파간 대립이 아니라 오히려 행정권을 장악한 이들이 정치적 중립성의 이름으로 국가폭력을 동원하여 좌우파를 탄압함으로써 민주주의적 논의와 토론을 불가능하게 만드는 데에 있다고 말한다. 혁명기 총재정부가 이 ‘극중도(extreme centre) 공화국’을 낳았으며, 이는 이후 나폴레옹의 세례를 거쳐 이후 프랑스 정치 문화를 지배했다는 것이다. 이를 통해 세르나는 혁명기 정치문화사의 새로운 모습을 보여주는 동시에 정치적 변절주의에 대한 역사학적 접근을 통해 우리에게도 비교사적으로 유익한 관점을 제공해 준다. This article looks into the new trends in the studies of the French Revolution by a close analysis of La Re?publique des girouettes(Paris, 2005), written by Pierre Serna. He chooses the figure of “weathervane (girouette)” embodying political turncoats as a key to reinterpreting French modern political history. His book discovers that this figure, both real and fictional, was omnipresent in nineteenth-century French politics and culture. Serna goes back to the French Revolution to find its origin. Those turncoats became conspicuously visible in political space because a group of elite politicians-cum-bureaucrats continued to hold the executive power in spite of the rise and fall of the successive regimes from 1789 to 1815. They repeatedly turned their backs on what they had said, but kept the high offices in the name of political moderation. Serna labels them as ‘extreme centre’, because they condemned and repressed all kinds of political opposition as anarchism and extremism, which suffocated the newborn democratic parliamentary system. By such an insight, Serna’s book not only provokes important questions about the French Revolution, but also suggests useful comparative perspectives to us.

국사의 초국가적 역사

This article reviews the ‘Writing the Nation’ series and the Review Forum held in Korea (April 22-24, 2016). This series is a pan-European academic achievement sponsored by the European Science Foundation, which constitutes a massive database of European national histories. From a comparative and transnational perspective, it investigates the historical process in which the emergence and consolidation of the nation-state system in 19th and 20th century Europe underlay the establishment of history as an academic discipline. The overarching purpose of the series is to examine the historical constitution of the so-called “methodological nationalism” which has naturalized the nation-state as the most basic unit to frame time and place in historical writing, and ultimately deconstruct its still universal appeal. The Review Forum intended to complement and strengthen the comparative scheme of the series by the comparison with the historiographies of East Asia (Korea and Japan). Based on what was discussed at the Review Forum, this article tries to assess the series’ achievement and show its utility for understanding the structure of the ‘national history regime.’ In this era of historical change and unpredictability, the series is very timely in that it illuminates the fundamentally transnational dynamics of nationally constituted modern historiography and calls for emancipating our historical imagination from the cage of methodological nationalism.

디자인과 IT의 융합교육 현황 연구

국내 대학은 구조조정 과정과 국가 특성화 사업을 지원하는 과정에서 또 단과대학 및 학과(전공)의 특성화를 위하여 총체적인 교육목표와 교육과정에 관한 심도 깊은 논의와 연구를 진행하고 있고, 그 과정에서 과도하게 세분화된 학과(전공)를 유기적으로 통합하는 융·복합의 교과과정 연구의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 기존의 분과학문 체계의 단절성을 극복하고 변화된 현실에 맞춤형 연구를 시도하려는 목적인 학제 간 융합연구를 살펴보고, 다양한 학제간의 지식생산을 ‘융합’이라는 화두로 이끌어가는 ‘스마트시대’를 맞아, 국내대학 디자인과 IT 관련학과의 교육과정 및 교과목개설 현황을 연구 분석 한 후 융합교육과정을 위한 제언을 하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 융합시대에 적합한 교육과정으로서 대학에서의 ‘디자인과 IT’의 융합교육 운영사례를 살펴보고, 국내 13개 대학의 교육과정을 중심으로 연구 분석한 결과 융합교육의 다양한 방식을 확인할 수 있었다. 연구결과로 1) 수요중심의 교육 2) 현장 실습중심 3) 다학제적 교육과정 현황의 특성을 보여주고 있었다. 연구대상 대학은 ‘디자인과 IT의 소양과 상상력을 갖춘 창의융합인재를 양성’을 융합의 목표로 하고 교과과정을 구성하고 있었다. 이러한 다학제적인 디자인과 IT 융합교육의 특성과 유형을 살펴보고 사례연구를 통한 연구는, 향후 국내 교육 환경에 적합한 융합교육 프로그램 개발을 위하여 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. Domestic universities are engaged in in-depth discussions and researches on the overall educational objectives and curriculum for the specialization of colleges and departments (major) in the course of supporting the restructuring process and national specialization projects. In that process, there is a growing need for research on the curriculum of integrated curricula that integrates over-detailed departments (major) organically. In order to overcome the disconnection of the existing disciplinary system and try to make customized research into the changed reality, I looked at the interdisciplinary fusion research, and in the ‘Smart Age’ which led to the convergence of knowledge production among various interdisciplinary fields, I would like to suggest some suggestions for the convergence curriculum after analyzing the curriculums of the domestic university Design and IT related departments. In this study, I examined the cases of ‘Design and IT’ convergence education in college as an appropriate curriculum for the convergence age. As a result of the research analysis focusing on the curriculums of 13 universities in Korea, various methods of convergence education were confirmed. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Demand - oriented education 2) On - the - spot practice 3) Multidisciplinary curriculum. The target university was composed of the curriculum with the goal of ‘fostering Design and IT literacy and creative talent with imagination. It is expected that the study on the characteristics and types of multidisciplinary Design and IT convergence education and the case study will be utilized for the development of the convergence education program suitable for the domestic education environment in the future.

대학 UI에서 심벌마크와 슬로건 디자인과의 상관관계

슬로건은 정치행동부터 기업과 상품을 돋보이게 하는 광고의 영역에 이르기까지 널리 사용되는데, 이는 대중이나 고객에게 이미지를 좋게 하는 역할을 수행한다. 또한 대중이나 고객의 태도가 동요 적이고 미확정적일 때일수록 슬로건의 호소력은 크다. 21세기의 도래와 함께 학생이 소비자이자 고객이 되고 있는 대학은, 급변하고 있는 환경변화와 함께 대학의 브랜드가치와 인지도를 높여 강력한 파워브랜드로 자리매김할 수 있도록 획기적인 브랜드아이덴티티 전략을 수립하고 시행해야 할 시점이다. 대학의 심벌마크는 대학의 정체성과 연관성이 있고, 슬로건은 신선하고 호소력이 있어야 하며 브랜드 핵심가치를 잘 반영하고 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 시대적 변화나 라이프스타일에 따라 변하는 경영 전략 적 마케팅 프로그램으로서 개발되어야 할 대학 UI(University Identity)에서, 슬로건디자인의 시각요소들의 형태와 문장구성, 표기언어, 색상 등 심벌마크와 슬로건 조합의 이미지를 분석하고 슬로건과 심벌마크와의 디자인 상관관계를 연구하여 시너지 효과를 낼 수 있는 방안을 제안하고자 한다. Slogan is used widely from the political action to the area of advertisement that brings companies and products out. It gives a good image to the public and customers. In addition, the more the attitude of the public or customers is lukewarm, the more the appeal of the slogan is great. With the advent of the 21st century, it is time for the University where students become consumers to establish a groundbreaking brand identity strategy with increasing the universitys brand value and awareness in rapidly changing environment. The UI Emblem of the University is related to University’s identity and slogan must be fresh and appealing, should reflect the core values of brand . In this study, I researched the design relationship between emblem and slogan, visual elements of the UI which should be designed as a strategic marketing program with change of era and lifestyle and proposed the ideas which create mutual synergy effect.

로컬 브랜드 디자인 연구: 농특산물 공동브랜드를 중심으로

The age of the Revolution was also that of war and violence. The West has, however, highlighted the Haitian Revolution (1791-1804) as an unusual instance of barbaric violence, distinguished from other ‘normal’ revolutions. The stereotyped images of the Haitian Revolution reiterated in Western discourses have an effect of concealing the complex and complicated chains of violence which constituted and accelerated the colonial revolution. In this article, we closely observe the historical process of the Haitian Revolution from the violence of slavery in pre-revolutionary Saint-Domingue to the War of Haitian Independence. How can we historicize the violence of the slave revolution without banalizing it? This inquiry suggests a historical frame to grasp the nature and dynamics of the violence involved in the revolutionary transformation of the island from a thriving slavery colony to the first post-emancipation society in the Americas. It will help us to understand the multiple structures of violence and complicated interactions among diverse social groups engaged in the Haitian Revolution. This work also addresses how and why this complex historical process was lost in the Western memory of the Haitian Revolution.
