        This purpose of this study was to compare the onset times of muscle activities and the order of muscle firing in hamstring, gluteus maximus, and lumbar erector spinae muscle during active hip extension between subjects with low back pain (LBP) and healthy subjects. Thirty subjects, 15 with LBP and 15 healthy subjects, participated in this study. Electromyographic activity was recorded during active hip extension in prone and standing position. Relative onset times of these muscle activites were determined. Similar muscle firing order in hamstring, gluteus maximus, and lumbar erector spinae muscle showed in both groups and positions. However, the onset time of gluteus maximus was significantly later in prone and standing active hip extension in subjects with LBP than in healthy subjects. The onset time of lumbar erector spinae muscle activity was significantly delayed in subjects with LBP in standing active hip extension. The delayed onset times of gluteus maximus, and lumbar erector spinae muscles’ activities were probably related to LBP. Further studies are needed to identify whether the delayed onset times of gluteus maximus, and lumbar erector spinae muscle activities are the contributing factors to LBP.

      • Rear Foot Wedge 각도가 보행시 전족저 최대압력에 미치는 영향

        The Purpose of this study was to find the effect of rear foot wedge angle on peak plantar pressures on the forefoot during walking. Twenty normal healthy subjects (10 female, 10 male) were recruited. Peak plantar pressure was measured using pressure distribution platforms (MatScan system) in medial forefoot (under the first, second metatarsal head) and lateral forefoot (under the third, fourth, fifth metatarsal head). The subjects walked at the comfortable velocity under seven conditions; bare footed, 5°, 10° and 15° wedges under the medial and lateral sides of the hindfoot. The three averaged peak plantar pressures were collected at each condition at stance and toe off phases. The results showed that a significant increase in lateral forefoot plantar peak pressure investigated in the medial wedge and a significant decrease in lateral forefoot plantar peak pressure investigated in lateral wedge at stance phase (p<.05). These results suggest that rear foot wedge may be useful to modify the peak plantar pressure on the forefoot.

        The Book of Amos is God’s Word declaring that the sin of Israel, which caused an irrevocable judgment, is one that violated the covenant with God, that God’s judgment of Israel, too, is one according to the covenant of God, and that God would restore Israel according to His Word. Israel is a peculiar treasure unto God, selected and saved them from this world in order to make a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation, the sin of Israel accused by Amos is not just moral and social issues. Amos makes it clear that the sin of Israel was the violation of the covenant of God and the refusal of the words of the prophets. The Book of Amos reveals God’s amazing Will that He would judge the Israel that left the LORD God, worshipped idols and committed all injustices and sins, while they thought as if they were unrelated to God’s Judgment, as His Promise (Deu. 29:18-21) and restore Israel as His Promise “that then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity”, and “have compassion upon thee” (Deu. 30:3 KJV). The Book of Amos emphasizes God’s sovereign Providencethat establishes Israel as a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation through judgement and restoration for the purpose of calling by the Promise. Thus, we should read the Book of Amos as God’s sovereign Providence that achieve His Will toward Israel by judging and restoring them that commit all injustices and sins, despite they are a kingdom of priests and a holy nation instead of a message of declaring social justice toward this unrighteous world.

        슬관절 근육 피로가 한 발 정적기립 균형능력에 미치는 영향

        The purposes of this study were to determine wether knee muscular fatigue affects on one-leg static standing balance. Sixty four healthy subjects were used for this study : 44 men and 20 women, with an average age of 19.52. One leg static standing balance was measured at pre-fatigue and post-fatigue by an instrumented balance assessment system(kinesthetic ability training balance platform) which is commercially available for testing or training balance. Isokinetic exercises were used to evoke muscle fatigue at 180 degree/see by Cybex 1200. One leg static standing balance ability was significantly decreased after knee muscular fatigue. Although these phenomenons were not clearly understood, these results have important implications for rehabilitation in fatigable patients. These results suggest that the excessive fatiguing during rehabilitation in patients with fatigable disease may increase risk of reinjury and falling injury due to balance disturbance. Further studies are required to determine the physiological mechanisms of muscle fatigue that can play in decreasing one-leg static standing balance ability.

        국내산 감자 주요 품종의 아미노산 및 단백질 조성

        국내에서 생산된 감자 중 세풍, 남서, 수미, 조풍 및 대서의 5가지 품종에 대하여 단백질 profile 및 아미노산 조성을 분석하였다. 총 질소함량은 1.27~1.64%이었으며, 남서가 높았고 수미가 낮게 나타났다. 아미노산 조성은 품종 간에 유의적인 차이가 있었다. 한편, 주요 감자 단백질은 papatin(40 kDa), trypsin inhibitor(20 kDa) 및 protease inhibitor(15 kDa)이었으며, 이들의 함량은 각각 22.16~25.81%, 25.22~20.91% 및 14.12~25.23%이었다. Papatin 함량은 조풍, 세풍, 수미감자가 높은 함량을 보인 반면, trypsin inhibitor는 조풍감자가 5.22%로 가장 낮은 함량을 보였다. Protease inhibitors인 20 kDa와 15 kDa를 합한 값은 24.7~35.0%이었으며, 세풍이 가장 적었고 조풍에 가장 많이 함유되어 있었다. The protein profiles of domestic potato cultivars were evaluated for total protein determination, amino acid composition, SDS-PAGE analysis and scanning densitometry. There were statistically significant differences in the levels of amino acids among potato cultivars. Total nitrogen amount was also significantly different among cultivars, ranging from 1.27 to 1.64%. SDS-PAGE analysis showed that there were significant differences in the content of major potato proteins such as papatin (40 kDa), trypsin inhibitor (20 kDa) and protease inhibitor (15 kDa) among cultivars (p<0.05). The amount of papatin among cultivars with a range of 22.16 to 25.81 mg/g d.w. was higher in Jopung, Shepody and Superior, whereas the amount of protease inhibitors including 15 kDa and 20 kDa was the highest in Jopung (37.0%). The Shepody contains the highest amount of papatin (25.8%) and the lowest of trypsin inhibitor (5.22%). Thus, it is suggested that Shepody is the most desirable cultivar for better nutrition based on the protein profile.

        Outer Charge Transfer Complex가 Inner Complex로의 변환에 따른 속도론적 연구

        Formation of charge transfer complex between iodine and substituted aniline [aniline, N,N-dimethylaniline(N,N-DMA), 2,6-dimethylaniline(2,6-DMA), 2,4,6-trimethylaniline(2,4,6-TMA)] in CHCl$_3$, CH$_2$Cl$_2$ : CHCl$_3$ (1 : 1), and CH$_2$Cl$_2$ have been studied kinetically by using conductivity method. In the transformation of initially formed outer charge transfer complex to inner complex, the effects of substituted aniline as electron donor and polar medium on the reaction were investigated. The rate of transformation depend on the dielectric contribution of medium and pK$_a$ value of substituted aniline. The order of rate increasing is 2,4,6-TMA, 2,6-DMA, aniline, and N,N-DMA. The activation enthalpy ${\Delta}H^{\neq}$ for 2.5 M-substituted aniline in CHCl$_3$ at 25$^{\circ}C$ is respectively N,N-DMA, 3.47 kcal/mol; aniline, 4.25 kcal/mol; 2,6-DMA, 7.79 kcal/mol and 2,4,6-TMA, 7.96 kcal/mol; and activation entropy ${\Delta}S^{\neq}$ is large and negative value of -41 ~ -55 cal/mol${\cdot}$K. CHCl$_3$, CHCl$_3$ : CH$_2$Cl$_2$(1:1) 및 CH$_2$Cl$_2$ 용매 중에서 치환 aniline[aniline, N,N-dimethylaniline(N,N-DMA), 2,6-dimethylaniline(2,6-DMA) 및 2,4,6-trimethylaniline(2,4,6-TMA)]과 iodine간의 charge transfer complex 형성에 대하여 전도도법을 이용하여 속도론적으로 조사하였다. 초기에 일시적으로 생성된 outer charge transfer complex가 inner complex로 변환되는 과정에 있어서 치환 aniline의 electron donor 및 polar medium으로서의 작용에 대하여 고찰해 보았다. 또한 변환의 빠르기는 medium의 dielectric environment와 치환 aniline의 pK$_a$값에 의존하였으며 2,4,6-TMA, 2,6-DMA, aniline, N,N-DMA의 순서로 증가하였다. Chloroform 용매 중에서 2.5M 농도의 치환 aniline에 대해서 얻은 ${\Delta}H^{\neq}$값은 N,N-DMA, 3.47kcal/mol:aniline, 4.25kcal/mol:2,6-DMA, 7.79kcal/mol:2,4,6-TMA, 7.96kcal/mol:${\Delta}S^{\neq}$값은 모든 aniline에 있어서 -41~-55cal/mol${\cdot}$K의 큰 음의 값을 나타내었다.

        음이온성-비이온성 혼합계면활성제와 요오드간의 상호작용에 미치는 $Ca^{2+}$의 영향

        SDS(sodium dodecyl sulfate) 존재하에서 NP-40EO[nonylphenol-(ethylene oxide)40]와 요오드와의 상호작용에 따른 $Ca^{2+}$의 영향을 UV-visible spectrophotometer를 이용하여 수용액 중에서 조사하였다. SDS 부재시보다 상호작용 피크의 흡광도는 줄어들었으며, CMC 이상에서 $Ca^{2+}$ 첨가에 따른 상호작용 피크의 강도는 크게 증가하였다. 상호작용 피크의 감소는 SDS 삽입에 따른 혼합미셀 단위 표면적당 요오드와 상호작용할 수 있는 EO 수의 감소에 기인하며, 상호작용 피크 강도의 증가는 $Ca^{2+}$ 존재하에서 미셀 구조가 더욱 조밀해진데 따른 전자주게-받게 겹침 증가로 불 수 있다. 이러한 현상들은 수용액 중에서 상대적으로 자유로운 배향을 갖는 선형 EO 사슬이 유사 크라운 에테르 구조를 형성하여 $Ca^{2+}$ 이온과 착물을 형성할 수 있는 가능성을 보여준다. In the presence of SDS(sodium dodecyl sulfate), effect of $Ca^{2+}$on the interaction of NP-40EO[nonylphenol-(ethylene oxide)40] with iodine in aqueous solution were investigated by UV-visible spectrophotometer. In the presence of SDS, the intensity of interaction peaks were decreased and markedly increased by the addition of $Ca^{2+}$. Decrease of interaction peaks is caused by decrease of EO number to be interact with iodine per unit surface area of mixed micelle to the insertion of SDS and increase is attributed to the compactness of micelle in the presence of $Ca^{2+}$. These phenomena may be explained by the fact that the linear EO (ethylene oxide) chains, to be free in aqueous solution, could form a pseudo-crown ether structures of forming with $Ca^{2+}$ion.

        수용액 중에서 비이온성 계면활성제와 요오드간의 상호작용에 미치는 $Ca^{2+}$의 영향

        수용액 중에서 요오드와 $4-(C_9H_{19})C_6H4_O(CH_2CH_2O)_{40} [NP-(EO)_40]$간의 charge transfer(CT) 상호작용에 미치는 $Ca^{2+}$이온의 영향을 UV-visible spectrophotometer를 이용하여 조사하였다. CT 상호작용에 따른 최대 흡수는 390 nm 부근에서 나타났으며, $Ca^{2+}$ 이온 존재하에서는 370 nm 영역으로 이동되었다. 계면활성제 농도를 CMC 이상에서 고정시켰을 때, CT 상호작용에 따른 최대흡수곡선의 강도가 $Ca^{2+}$이온 첨가 농도에 따라 증가하다가 감소하는 변곡점을 보였다. CT 상호작용에 기인한 흡수곡선의 강도가 증가하는 것은 $Ca^{2+}$이온 존재하에서 미셀 구조가 더욱 조밀해진데 다른 요오드와의 donor-acceptor overlap 증가로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 현상들은 수용액 중에서 상대적으로 자유로이 여러가지 배향을 가질 수 있는 비이온성 계면활성제의 선형 oxyethylene(EO) 사슬이 유사 크라운 에테르 구조를 형성하여 $Ca^{2+}$이온과 착물을 형성할 수 있는 가능성을 보여준다. The effects of $Ca^{2+}$ ion on the charge transfer(CT) interaction of $4-(C_9H_{19})C_6H_4O(CH_2CH_2O)_{40} [NP-(EO)_{40}]$ with iodine in aqueous solution were investigated by UV-visible spectrophotometer. Maximum absorption wavelengths to the CT interaction were in the vicinity of 390 nm, and by the addition of $Ca^{2+}$ ion shifted toward 370 nm. Above CMC, the intensity of the CT interaction by the addition of $Ca^{2+}$ ion were increased and then decreased. The increase in the intensity of CT band were attributed to the increase of the donor-acceptor overlap with iodine caused by the compactness of micelle in the presence of $Ca^{2+}$ ion. These phenomena suggest that the linear oxyethylene(EO) chains, relatively free to assume various configuration in aqueous solution, could form a pseudo-crown ether structures capable of forming complexes with $Ca^{2+}$ ion.
