        온실가스 감축을 위한 미국의 토지이용-교통 연동계획 사례 연구

        The impact of climate change by greenhouse gas has been increasing. Around the world many countries announced their goals for reducing global greenhouse gas. Korean government, which declared its reduction goal, need, however, practical means to achieve it. For this purpose, we researched the land-use transportation linkage planning by the MPO of the USA, which is evaluated as one of most effective policies.In this study, we investigated the effects of land-use transportation plans conducted by the Southern California as a case study in order to make Korean planners convinced of land-use transportation linked one.

        일본 지진피해 부흥사업 추진방안 고찰

        At the time of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake occurred on January 17, 1995, there were fatal damages to the collapse to the housing of Kobe city. Various `restoration` plans were prepared without any legal basis by Kobe city. Kobe city was the center of their own local government. In order to respond to change of socio-economic situation and the progress of `restoration`, the PCDA cycle management system was adopted in Kobe city. To respond to a variety of disasters, Kobe city rebuilt their `life rehabilitation` plan to help promote development and growth of the city. This plan executed help supply of Public Housing to disaster victims, and financial assistance for the construction of private housing. About the complex relationship between land rights and restrictions on building codes, reconstruction of housing counseling for a wide range of professional knowledge was operated. The result of this study, which reviewed the case of Kobe City, could be useful to develop the promotional measures of the stage of `restoration` for the life rehabilitation. not only for Korea but also for the developing countries of East Asia.

        도시개발-교통시설 연동모델 개발

        The purpose of this research is to develop an urban development and transport infrastructure linking model and to apply it for Namyangju city, which is lying under the pressure of development, in oder to support to find a reasonable and efficient way to plan. The model can estimate the traffic volume assigned to its future alternative transport network according to the urban development scenarios and evaluate their long-term effects using seven indexes with respect to its public and individual influences. The indexes were selected in terms of the paradigm of sustainable urban development. The model was applied for three urban development scenarios linked with two alternative transport infrastructure supply plans. According to the model application, the 4th combination scenario of allocating population and supplying transport infrastructure to the central city area resulted in decreasing traffic energy in the whole city, improving congestion, and reducing social costs. On the other hand, the 6th combination scenario of allocating population and supplying transport infrastructure to the local areas resulted in the most environmental-friendly urban development of Namyangju city. The model is able to be applied to any other cities, if the proper database for the model could be set up.

        In the daily life of the transportation vulnerable, the accessibility to the facilities such as the hospital or welfare to the destination is possible using passenger cars or semi-public transportation like a disabled taxi, etc. However, for leisure purposes, such as shopping and meetings, transportation is mainly based on public transportation, in particular, while the movement inside the station is relatively easy on the case of urban railways, after moving out of station, moving conditions are very poor in station area. Therefore, in order to improve the daily life for transportation vulnerable, in addition to the facilities inside the public transportation, the conditions of transportation in the station area are also important, and a model that can be verified and evaluated spatially is needed. This study is to empirical analysis the movement range in the urban railway station area to promote the daily life for the transportation vulnerable. A distance, area, and facilities that can be moved for a certain period of time are calculated to distinguish vulnerable areas based on the GIS walking network from the station to the subway station of the city railway which is the representative public transportation of Seoul city. We develop a model that can quantitatively analyze the effect of improvement of pedestrian facilities for transportation vulnerable.
