최근 사회적 자본, 특히 신뢰(trust)가 경제성장에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 신뢰는 협업 증진, 불확실성 감축, 대리인 비용의 절감을 통해 거래비용을 줄이고 시장경제의 효율성을 높여 경제성장을 촉진한다. 신뢰가 경제성장에 미치는 인과효과를 실증분석을 통해 식별하는 데에는 측정오차로 인한 희석편의, 역인과관계, 누락변수 편의 등의 문제가 있다. 선행연구 문헌에서는 신뢰가 역사 속에서 오랜 기간 동안 형성되었다는 특성을 반영하여 주로 역사적 요인을 도구 변수로 활용해 왔다. 본고에서는 1920년의 초등학교 취학률을 새롭게 도구변수로 이용하여 신뢰가 경제성장에 미치는 효과를 살펴봤다. 분석결과는 선행연구와 유사하게 나타났다. 일반화된 신뢰 수준이 높을수록 1인당 GDP가 더 컸다. 신뢰는 단기 경제성장률에 대해서는 양의 효과를 미쳤지만, 장기 경제성장률에 대한 효과는 뚜렷하지 않았다. Today, there are many studies researching the role of social capital, including trust, in economic growth. Trust reduces transaction cost and raises the efficiency of the market economy through the channels of promoting cooperation, decreasing uncertainty, and saving the agency cost. Three challenges stand out in estimating the effect of trust on economic growth, which are the attenuation bias, reverse causality, and the omitted variable problems. Scholars have used historical variables as an instrumental variable to deal with the three problems in identification. The effect of trust on economic growth is estimated in this paper using the 1920 primary school enrollment rate as an instrument. The result is consistent with the existing literature. The higher is the level of the generalized trust, the greater is GDP per capita. Trust also has a positive effect on the GDP growth rate in the short run, but the effect is unclear in the long run.

The Effect of Population Aging on Local School Subsidies in Korea

The recent growth in local school subsidies in Korea offers a chance to test the effect of population aging on public education expenditure. In the existing literature, the intergenerational conflict model suggests a negative effect, although a growing number of studies are finding theoretical and empirical evidence of a positive effect. After controlling for the district fixed effect, the analysis of the Korean data shows that the elderly population share has a significant positive effect on the local school subsidy per pupil. This result is robust after instrumenting the real proportion of the elderly population by the predicted proportion, assuming no population mobility, to handle the possible bias caused by Tiebout sorting.

This study aimed to find the meaning of the career guidance counseling experience of second grade pre-service early childhood teachers using the Photovoice method. To this end, counseling was conducted three times for six Year 2 students in the Department of Early Childhood Education at K University. For qualitative analysis, photos and explanations submitted by research participants, transcripts of interviews, and counseling contents and last semester grades were collected. As a result, they thought the career was “my current self and thoughts” and “my desired self after graduation”, and the meaning of career counseling using Photovoice was “in-depth counseling led by students, time to focus on mind and around, and time to sympathize about career”. The above suggested that it is necessity to provide Year 2 pre-service early childhood teacher with accurate information on jobs in the related field. Furthermore, career guidance counseling using Photovoice are counseling methods that can be applied to instructors who are considering qualitative counseling. 본 연구의 목적은 지도교수가 포토보이스 방법을 적용한 진로지도 상담에 나타난 2학년 예비유아교사들의 진로에 대한 생각과 포토보이스 방법을 적용한 진로지도 상담 경험의 의미를 알아보고자 함이다. 이를 위하여 4년제 K대학교 유아교육과 2학년생 6명을 대상으로 상담을 3회 실시하였다. 질적 분석을 위하여 연구참여자가 제출한 사진 및 설명, 인터뷰 전사본, 지난 학기 상담 내용과 성적을 자료로 수집하였다. 연구 결과 진로에 대한 생각은 ‘현재 나의 모습’, ‘졸업 후 바라는 나의 모습’으로, 포토보이스를 적용한 진로지도 상담의 의미는 ‘학생 주도로 이루어진 깊이 있는 상담, 마음과 주변을 살피며 집중하는 시간, 진로에 대해 공감하는 시간’으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 2학년 예비유아교사에게 관련 분야 직업에 대한 정확한 정보를 제공할 수 있는 기회 제공의 필요성과 포토보이스를 적용한 진로지도 상담이 상담의 질적인 부분을 고민하는 교수자가 적용해 볼 수 있는 방법임을 시사하였다.

직장어린이집 원장으로 은퇴한 76학번 유아교육 전공자의 생애사 연구

본 연구의 목적은 40여 년간 유아교육현장에서 전문가로 살아오며 직장어린이집 원장으로 은퇴한 76학번 유아교육 전공자의 삶의 의미를 통해 현재 유아예비교사 및 보육교사, 어린이집 원장을 꿈꾸는 교사들에게 미래에 대한 통찰과 보육현장에 도움이 되는 시사점을 제공하고자 함이다. 이를 위하여 A원장과 생애사적인 주제를 가지고 내러티브 면접을 4회 실시하였다. 연구 자료로 수집한 녹음자료, 전사본, 연구자 노트, SNS로 주고받은 문자가 질적 코딩 분석에 사용되었다. 범주와 연구결과의 최종적인 텍스트 검증 과정에서 연구참여자 체크를 실시하여 결과 해석에 오류가 없도록 하였다. 연구결과 A원장의 생애사적 삶의 의미는 ‘유아교육과 선택은 나에게 로또당첨이다.’, ‘어린이집은 드라마틱한 삶의 현장이다.’, ‘원장으로 은퇴하기까지 버팀목이 되어준 사람들이 있다.’, ‘정년퇴임은 짠한 졸업식이다.’로 도출되었다. 이를 통해 어린이집 원장의 가치관과 실천적 태도, 신임보육교사 인턴제도의 필요성, 어린이집 원장을 위한 은퇴프로그램의 필요성에 대한 시사점을 제공하였다.

개방적 놀이재료를 활용한 2세반 영아의 스키마 놀이 양상 탐색

The purpose of this study is to explore the aspects of schema play observed in which 2-year-olds in a daycare center play with loose parts. Loose parts were provided in an empty space, for 5 people aged 2 years old, and a total of 30 times were observed for about 1 hour two to three times a week. Pictures of playing with loose parts were classified according to the 8 schema play criteria named by Chris Athey to explore the play aspects, and which loose parts were used for the 7 schema plays shown in the research results. It was an opportunity to understand schema play through the search for schema play aspects of 2-year-old using loose parts. Teachers can find out what schemas children are currently interested in through play observation, so it is necessary to provide opportunities to develop schemas by additionally supporting various play materials that can apply these schemas.
