To make practicable for a hydrogen-fueled engine with external mixture which has high power and high efficiency, the feasibility of expansion for back fire limit equivalence ratio was grasped by valve overlap period change. Without case of vacuum condition, back fire limit equivalence ratio was estimated for valve overlap period change at the same energy of valve overlap period 30 CA condition in high supply energy and static pressure.The result, it is estimated that the lower valve overlap period has the higher backfire limit equivalence ratio though the same energy is supplied by compensation to valve overlap period 30 condition. When the valve overlap period is changed from 30° CA to 0° CA, backfire limit equivalence ratio is increased 72%, approximately. It means that valve overlap period is concern in backfire occurrence, and may be one of the methods for controlling back fire occurred in a hydrogen-fueled engine.

To develop a hydrogen fueled engine with external mixture which uses in high reliability, low cost and low pressure, the single cylinder research engine with MCVVT(Mechanical Continuous Variable Valve Timing) system is developed and its basic characteristics analyzed. The MCVVT developed has high reliability and the valve timing change is possible in wide range continuously. Though the mechanical loss due to MCVVT system is increased a little, back-fire suppression research for valve overlap period is no difficulty. It's also confirmed that the hydrogen-fueled engine has lower torque and is possible high lean burn. As fuel-air equivalence ratio is high, as thermal efficiency is remarkable increasing.
구미시 원도심 보행공간 활성화 방안에 관한 연구 - 공간구문론을 이용한 보행가로체계분석을 중심으로 -

The main purpose of this study is to suggest a plan to revitalize pedestrian spaces in the original downtown of Gumi City. Based on analysis results of the pedestrian street system in the original downtown of Gumi City, we suggested a plan for revitalizing pedestrian spaces. By using 'Space Syntax', a quantitative research method, an axial map of the pedestrian street system was created to analyze integration and choice value. Considering the fact that the urban regeneration project in the original city center of Gumi is in progress, a plan for revitalizing pedestrian spaces was discussed based on the actual plan of the urban regeneration project. Effects of urban regeneration projects were predicted and methods to increase the accessability and the probability of passing pedestrian streets were proposed. This study is significant in that it suggests methods to revitalize pedestrian spaces based on the understanding of urban spatial structure. Also, results of this study can be used as basic data for urban regeneration projects.
바이오미미크리 건축계획 과정의 체계화 및 웹기반 정보시스템의 개발에 관한 연구

Although biomimicry is being applied to sustainable architecture with all its possibilities, biomimicry architectural practices have mostly focused on the esthetic design method. The reason why biomimicry architecture is not activated in terms of environmental function could be due to the lack of information and the absence of a systematic methodology. Therefore, this study aims to provide a basis for constructing a web-based information system that could overcome these limitations and provide practical information. For this purpose, a theoretical review on the concept of biomimicry and its application along with biomimicry architecture cases were analyzed. In addition, website related theories were investigated to find actual construction plans. Based on these, the structure of a web-based information system and the type of information provided were presented.
고온건조 기후지역의 적응전략을 적용한 바이오미미크리 건축에 관한 연구

Because living organisms in extreme climatic zones adapt to the environment through various strategies, the architectural application of these strategies is expected to lead to innovative and efficient architectural ideas in terms of environmental function. The purpose of this study is to present possibilities of biomimicry architecture by applying adaptation strategies in hot and arid climate regions. For this purpose, the characteristics and adaptation strategies in hot and arid climate regions were examined and cases of biomimicry architecture were studied. Biomimicry architecture which applied biological strategies from hot and arid climate regions were collected and studied to understand how biological strategies are applied to architectural planning. Also, adaptation strategies of hot and arid climate regions were compared to studied cases in order to derive further possibilities in the field of biomimicry architecture.
유치원 · 초등학교 통합운영학교의 공간 구성에 관한 연구 - 공간구문론을 통한 사례분석을 중심으로 -

Due to the continuing decline in the number of students and the need to connect educational environments of nursery and primary schools, a type of school where both exist is expected to become an effective way to cope with social change and help resolve difficulties in the Korean education system. Operating two educational facilities such as a nursery and primary school in the same building are quite common overseas; this type of educational facility is expected to show different spatial configurations compared to existing ones. The purpose of this study is to present the characteristics of spatial composition and planning methods that appear in nursery and primary schools by analyzing international cases to establish a framework for spatial analysis of each space configuration. The spatial structure of cases was analyzed by using Space Syntax, a spatial structure analysis methodology. Based on the results, planning methods for nursery and primary schools were presented. Through spatial analysis, the relationship between nursery and primary school facilities, study areas and play/meeting areas, student areas and teacher areas were mainly examined. Results of this research had significance in providing data needed for planning nursery and primary schools and is expected to be used for establishing planning guidelines for domestic nursery and primary schools.
프리츠커상 수상자의 작품에 나타난 바이오필릭 디자인 패턴에 관한 연구

As human beings inherently value nature, attempts are continuously being made to introduce nature into buildings. In previous studies, Biophilic design patterns were presented to provide the basis for Biophilic architectural planning. However, existing building cases are applying these patterns through similar and limited methods. Therefore, studies that can introduce various and creative planning methods for designing biophilic buildings are needed. This study aims to present planning methods for designing Biophilic buildings by analyzing works of architects, who were laureates of the Pritzker Architecture Prize. Cases were analyzed to examine planning methods of applying Biophilic designs to architecture. The results of this study are expected to be used as reference materials for architects to design Biophilic buildings which provide environments that connect with nature.

To analyze the influence of valve overlap period on a backfire occurrence, the single cylinder research engine with MCVVT(Mechanical Continuous Variable Valve Timing) system is developed and backfire limit equivalence ratio defined as fuel-air ratio equivalence ratio at which backfire occurs is examined according to various valve overlap period. The MCVVT is the system to control valve overlap period by mechanical device. It is estimated that the lower valve overlap period has the higher backfire limit equivalence ratio though the same energy is supplied. When the valve overlap period is changed from 30° CA to 0° CA, backfire limit equivalence ratio is increased 74%, approximately. It means that valve overlap period is concern in backfire occurrence, and may be one of the methods for controlling back fire occurred in a H₂ engine.
