본고에서는 IR52 장영실상을 수상한 “고안정성 PCR DNA 증폭제” 개발 사례에 관련된 개발기획, 개발실행 및 사업화에 대하여 소개하고자 한다. “고안정성 PCR DNA 증폭제” 개발은 최근 그 활용이 크게 증가하고 있는 “PCR 기반 진단”에 사용될 수 있는글로벌 경쟁력을 가진 제품의 개발을 목적으로 착수되었으며, 본고에서 제시하는 여러가지의 기술경영 노력들이 투입되었다. 그 결과로 세계적으로 차별성을 가진 혁신적제품이 확보될 수 있었다. In this article, development planning, the development process and the commercialization of a "PCR DNA amplifier with high product stability" are described. The technology concerning a "PCR DNA amplifier with high product stability" received the IR52 Jang Young-Shil Award. The development project for a "PCR DNA amplifier with high product stability" set out to develop a distinctive and internationally competitive product to be utilized in PCR-based detection and diagnosis. The intensive management of the technology was applied in the execution of this project, as was descrived in this article. As an achievement of the project, an innovative, unique product can be developed.
입식-좌식 작업대의 육체적 및 인지적 작업 부하에 대한 비용-편익 분석 - 통증 유발자를 중심으로

Objective: The current study aimed to quantify physical and cognitive workload of the low back pain developers (PDs) and non-pain developers (NPDs) under the office working environment in which two natural-unconstrained postures (prolonged sitting, prolonged standing) and two cognitive demand tasks (low cognitive demand task, high cognitive demand task) were tested. Background: Previous studies suggested a possible difference in sit-stand schedules between PDs and NPDs, but they have only focused only on preventing the first occurrence of low back pain. Method: 13 healthy males visited twice on different days for testing prolonged sitting and standing, and were asked to play the Tetris game and perform cognitive tests for 75 minutes. The experimental protocol consisted of five 15 min sessions, and each session had Tetris game (primary task), cognitive tests (secondary task), and dual task. The dependent variables included three cognitive tests and EMG measures, captured every 7 min. Results: PDs exhibited significantly greater peak NEMG (90<SUP>th</SUP> %ile) in abdominal muscles while standing compared to sitting, but there was no difference in NPDs. In addition, executive function in PDs deteriorated under the high cognitive demand conditions compared to NPDs. These findings might provide an evidence that a subjective complaint of pain may interfere with executive function and result in a confliction between motor control and sensory processing. Conclusion: From biomechanical perspective, PDs had a greater physical workload in the standing posture than in the sitting posture, but NPDs had no difference between postures. From perspective of cognitive abilities, PDs degraded executive function under a dual-task scenario as compared to NPDs. Application: The cost-benefit of physical and cognitive workload between PDs and NPDs could be used for leveling continuous static muscle loading and creating sit-stand schedules for various cognitive load.

Ion separation characteristics of a nanofiltration membrane, NTR-729 were experimentally investigated. A method for determining membrane surface charge was proposed on the basis of the rejection data for NaCl, Na₂S0₄, MgCl₂and MgSO₄solutions. It was found that the NTR-729 membrane was negatively charged. Thus, the rejections of anions by this membrane were higher than those of cations, and the rejections of divalent anions were higher than those of monovalent anions. It was found that the change in solution flux with concentration was governed by the osmotic pressure difference under a constant pressure. It was also found that the major factor for the rejection change with concentration was not the shielding effect exerted by coexisting cations but an increase in solute permeability. It was postulated that in mixed-salt solutions, the rejection of each ion was governed by divalent anions and the permeation of monovalent aions was also affected by that of rations, and that the permeation characteristics of an ion in a mixed-salt solution could be quite different from those in a single-salt solution.
