As the paradigm is shifting for universities and public research institutions(PRI) to haveentrepreneurship, they are pushed to contribute actively for economic growth. To activatetechnology innovation eco-system, public technology should be transferred to privatecompanies and then utilized properly for commercialization success. This research investigates the potential factors that might affect the technology transferof PRI&U with using complete enumeration survey result of 275 PRI&Us. The importantexplanatory factors relate to non-monetary incentive for researchers, the number offull-time equivalent personnel in TLO, average working experience of TLO members andthe amount of industry-sponsored R&D. Additional exploratory study revealed that thesuccess factors are different between PRIs and universities. Monetary&non-monetaryincentive and institution’s commitment & interest about TT have positive effect on TT ofPRI, in contrast TLO-related factors which including the number of TLO members,working experience, and TLO independence in terms of finance on universities. In conclusion, I draw several policy implications regarding PTT practices in Koreawhich include government R&D investment strategy for more collaboration betweenPRI&Us and private companies and evolution model of public TLO.

texture 분류에는 지금까지 여러가지 접근방법이 있어왔는데, 특히 자연적인 texture 분류에 주로 적응되는 접근방법으로는 통계적 접근방법(statistical approach)이 주류를 이루었다. coocurrence 행렬, random field model 등의 이 접근방법의 예들인데, 이들 방법들은 pixel 단위의 정보처리에만 치우친 경향이 있어 상대적으로 굵직한 texture의 처리에는 적당하지 않고 또 반대로 굵직한 texture 처리에 적당하도록 해주기 위해서는 매개변수를 사용, 주어지는 texture에 따라 이 매개변수의 값을 인위적으로 변화시켜 주어야하는 등의 단점들을 안고 있다. 본 논문에서는 texture 분류에서 특별한 매개변수의 사용 없이도 주어지는 texture의 굵기에 상관없이 texture 분류 가능하도록 피라미드 구조를 texture 분류에 사용하였다.
한국에서 발생한 청천난류 사례에서 나타나는 종관규모 대기상태에 대한 연구

The synoptic condition of clear-air turbulence (CAT) events occurred over South Korea is investigated, using the Regional Data Assimilation and Prediction System (RDAPS)data obtained from the Korea Meteorological Agency (KMA) and pilot reports (PIREPs)collected by Korea Aviation Meteorological Agency (KAMA) from 1 Dec. 2003 to 30 Nov. 2008. Throughout the years, strong subtropical jet stream exists over the South Korea, and the CAT events frequently occur in the upper-level frontal zone and subtropical jet stream regions where strong vertical wind shears locate. The probability of the moderate or greater (MOG)-level turbulence occurrence is higher in wintertime than in summertime, and high probability region is shifted northward across the jet stream in wintertime. We categorize the CAT events into three types according to their generation mechanisms: i) upper-level front and jet stream, ii)anticyclonically sheared and curved flows, and iii) breaking of mountain waves. Among 240MOG-level CAT events reported during 2003-2008, 103 cases are related to jet stream while 73cases and 25 cases are related to the anticyclonic shear flow and breaking of mountain wave,respectively.

Satisfaction measured by the long-term business competency of rural tourism operators plays an important role in generating successful business. This study examined the factors affecting the business satisfaction of rural tourism operators. A total of 1,000 questionnaires were completed using the data of a fact-finding survey on Rural Tourism Business 2020. Linear and multiple regression analysis applying dummy variables was performed on this data. Results showed that the factors affecting the business satisfaction of rural tourism operators were the number of operations and part-time employees, total sales, earning side income motivation, business types, differentiation strategy, and managerial skills. Interestingly, earning side income, personal business, and the number of part-time employees were found to have a negative impact on satisfaction. These results indicate that it is necessary to come up with business strategies reflecting the factors that improve the satisfaction of rural tourism business operators.
플라즈마 용사용 $Al_2O_3/SS316$ 복합 분말 제조 및 경사 코팅충의 제조에 관한 연구

In the case of using high temperature by coating ceramic/metal, large stress was produced due to difference of thermal expansion coefficient between those. And then lead to delamination. In order to relaxation of the stress A1$_2$O$_3$/SS316 composite powders with $10wt.%Al_2O_3$ compositional gradient and $10wt.%Al_2O_3$ agglomerated powder were made by spray drying method. These powders were sintered to improve the strength and to be plasma sprayed in order to fabricate the FGC(functionally graded coating). The influence of gun power, working distance and Ar pressure on the microstructure of the coating layer was studied in order to optimize the plasma spray conditions. It was proven that the optimum conditions were 40kw gun power, 5cm working distance and $100ft^3/h$ Ar flow for both powders. FGC with 10 compositional steps was fabricated and the total thickness was 1.3mm. FGC was heat treated at $1100^{\circ}C$for 10hours to evaluate the heat resisting characteristics.
