This paper describes the design and fabrication of a high performance digital tuning analog component integrated circuit that contains a television station detector and decoders(H and L types). When the comparator level sampling method is used, this integrated circuit can be used as a stable channel selector for an external circuit with very large signal variation. It has been fabricated using the SST bipolar standard process and its chip size is 2.2x2.1mm\ulcorner As a result, we have succeeded in fabricating the IC that satisfies the D.C characteristics, and the channel station detector and decoder function.

This work focuses on the use of flame chemiluminescence for sensing applications in monitoring of a turbulent flame. The optical emissions from a turbulent swirl gas flame were investigated using Photomultipliertube(PMT) and spectrometer system. The goal of this research is to analyse the relationship between flame chemiluminescence intensity and burner operating conditions. The chemiluminescent emissions of OH*, CH*, and C₂* were measured at various equivalence ratios and thermal inputs. The effects of equivalence ratios and NOx emission characteristics on the radical emission intensities (CH*/OH*, C₂*/CH*, C₂*/OH*) were investigated experimentally.

The present studying is aimed to establish the relationship between flame chemiluminescence(OH<SUP>*</SUP>, CH<SUP>*</SUP>, C₂<SUP>*</SUP>) intensities and combustion conditions such as NOx emission characteristics. Measurements are made for OH<SUP>*</SUP>, CH<SUP>*</SUP>, C₂<SUP>*</SUP> radicals in gas & light oil diffusion flames. At turbulent nonpremixed combustion mode, the equivalence ratio is varied. The optical emissions were measured by photomultiplier(PMT) using optical band pass filter and spectrometer system. The experimental results showed that the ratio of radicals and NOx emission characteristics have exponential correlations and equivalence ratio characteristics have linear correlations at this experimental conditions.

Geodae-Uksae 1 was used to evaluate combustion characteristics. An experiment was performed using a Drop Tube Furnace. To investigate the influence of temperature, reaction was performed at an equivalence ratio of 0.4 and temperatures of 400–1100 C. Kinetic parameters based on combustion characteristics were confirmed that the reaction zone could be divided into three zones by temperature. Evaluation of the reaction kinetic parameters were based on the balance of carbon containing gases CO₂ and CO. The concentration of exhaust gases was measured through the gas analyzer. The activation energy of the Geodae-Uksae 1 is 20.7 kJ/s, which is lower than coal and other biomass. The Geodae-Uksae 1 has a higher combustion reactivity because of its lower activation energy.

This work forcus on the development of gas sensor that measure the concentrations of exhaust gas using diode laser. Each diode laser for exhaust gas measurement is set to work at near-IR using both DA and WMS methods. Also use of fiber-coupled optical elements makes such a sensor rugged and easy to align. The results showed that gas concentrations of O₂, CO, CO₂, NO are accurately measured within ±2% error. The application of WMS method increased the beam intensity 2-3 times higher than DA method. It were experimentally compared WMS (Wavelength Modulation Spectroscopy) with DA (Direct Absorption) for the accuracy.

The objectives of this study is to examine combustion characteristics of industrial gas turbine combustor using PAO(Palm Acid Oil). PAO have quantity of water contents and it can cause flame instability. It is improved using the Flash spray. To apply the flash spray, PAO fuel is heated by self-heating installed in combustor. In addition to this structure, major parts of combustor design are combustion head with swirler, liner and diffuser. Thermal capacity of gas turbine combustor is 500,000 kcal/h and an fuel injection pressure and an excess air ratio are considered as the key parameters. The experimental results show an lower CO concentration and higher NOx concentration in the case of bio-oil compared with light-oil. Also, the result of flue gas analysis showed that the gas turbine combustor has stable operation in conditions below excess air 12.5%.
