This paper describes the daily water demand prediction models which can be applied to water distribution control of water supply networks. Two models(Multiple Regression Model and Kalman Filter Model) are compared to study the applicability to daily water demand prediction. Daily maximum temperature and holiday factor are considered as independent varlables. The absolute mean error of the model was 0.13 ~4.60% for the Multiple Regression Model and 0.58 ~ 1.62% for the Kalman Filter Model. From the results of the above comparison, it is demonstrated that both the Multiple Regression Model and the Kalman Filter Model are suitable for practical use.
