MRI has a higher contrast for soft tissue than other diagnostic equipment and is useful for diagnosing lesions such asligament damage, inflammation of surrounding tissues, and osteitis. In addition to the conventional TSE technique, variouspulse sequences are being developed such as the SMS technique, DL technique, CS technique, and parallel imaging technique. This study aimed to determine the optimal imaging technique for knee joint image acquisition through a comparison of eachimage by acquiring images from the conventional TSE technique, SMS TSE technique, and DL TSE technique when examiningthin slices in knee joint MRI. After obtaining sagittal T2 weighted images by applying the conventional TSE technique, SMSTSE technique, and DL TSE technique to patients who visited our hospital for diagnosis of knee joint disease, the SNR,CNR, and examination time and image quality evaluation were compared and analysed by quantitative and qualitative methods. As a result of the study, a statistically significant difference was found when comparing the images obtained with the threetechniques. Furthermore, it is believed that optimal imaging can be provided if an appropriate technique is selected bycomprehensively considering the patient’s condition and the clinical situation.
