This study was aimed at analyzing the correlation among each factor after finding out the difference between the gifted elementary students of science and general students with their parents learning involvement, the childrens intellectual curiosity and scientific creativity. The results of the study were as in the followings. Firstly, there was a significant difference in the intellectual curiosity between the gifted students and general students. Secondly, there was a significant difference in the parents learning involvement perceived by the gifted students and general students. Thirdly, there was a significant difference in scientific curiosity of the gifted students and the general students. Forth, as the results of the correlation analysis among the talented childs fathers learning involvement, the childs intellectual curiosity and scientific creativity, there was a positive correlation between the fathers pursuit for appropriateness and the talented childs special curiosity, and another positive correlation between the fathers encouragement for academic improvement and the childs flexibility and originality.

In this research, a new type of haptic master device using electrorheological(ER) fluid for minimally invasive surgery(MIS) is devised and control performance of the proposed haptic master is evaluated. The proposed haptic master consists of ER bi-directional clutch/brake for 2 DOF rotational motion(X, Y) using gimbal structure and ER brake on the gripper for 1 DOF rotational motion (Z). Using Bingham characteristic of ER fluid and geometrical constraints, principal design variables of the haptic master are determined. Then, the generation of torque of the proposed master is experimentally evaluated as a function of applied field of voltage. A sliding mode controller which is robust to uncertainties is then designed and empirically realized. It has been demonstrated via experiment that the proposed haptic master associated with the controller can be effectively applied to MIS in real field conditions.

This work presents an experimental investigation on vibration control of the active hybrid mount system for naval ships. To reduce unwanted vibrations, this paper proposes an active mount which consists of rubber element, piezostack actuator and inertial mass. The rubber element supports a mass. The piezostack actuator generates a proper control force and supply it to the mount system. To avoid being broken piezostack actuator, an actuator of the proposed mount is devised as an inertial type, in which a piezostack actuator is positioned between inertial mass and rubber element. Vibration control performances of the active mount system are evaluated via experiment. To attenuate the unwanted vibrations transferred from upper mass, the feedforward control is designed. In order to implement a control experiment, the active mount system supported by four active mounts is constructed. For realization of the controller, one-chip board is manufactured and utilized. Subsequently, vibration control performances of the proposed active mount system are experimentally evaluated in frequency domains.

외환위기 이후 악화되기 시작한 한국 제조업의 노동소득분배율은 2010년 이후에 소폭 개선되었는데 그 주요인은 실질임금 상승이 아닌 노동생산성 둔화이다. 노동생산성이 임금을 결정한다는 주류 경제학의 가정과는 달리 포스트케인스주의 생산성체제 분석은 임금 상승이 노동생산성 향상으로 이어질 수 있다고 주장한다. 본 연구에서는 임금과 생산성의 관계에서 양방향의 상호관계가 있음을 전제하고 고용(총노동시간)의 변화에 주목하면서, 노동생산성 증가율과 임금 증가율의 상호 작용에 대해 분석한다. 노동생산성, 고용(총노동시간), 임금 사이의 관계를 패널벡터자기회귀 모형으로 실증한 결과 임금상승이 노동생산성 증가를 통해 다시 임금 상승으로 이어지는 선순환 고리가 2010년 이후 한국 제조업에서 다소 약화되었고, 임금 상승이 노동생산성을 증가시키는 효과가 그 반대의 경우보다 클 수 있음을 보여준다. 다만 임금 상승이 노동생산성을 증대시키는 효과는 존재하지만 고용(총노동시간)을 감소시키기 때문에 그 효과는 반감될 가능성이 있다. 따라서 혁신의 유인을 감소시키지 않으면서 일자리 대체를 최소화하는 정부의 조정 능력이 요구된다. 시스템 일반화 적률법을 사용하여 한국 제조업 노동생산성의 결정요인을 분석한 결과 역시 시간당 임금은 제조업 노동생산성 증가율에 정(+)의 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. Income inequality in Korean manufacturing sector began worsening since the East Asian economic crisis in 1997. Although it has been slightly improved after 2010, this improvement is not due to the enhanced real wages, but due mainly to the slowdown of the labor productivity. Mainstream and post-Keynesian economics show two conflicting views on the relationship between wages and labor productivity: the latter determines the former according to the mainstream economics, and vice versa according to the post-Keynesian economics. In this study, assuming the existence of two-way interactions between the two variables, we investigate the relationship among the change of the labor productivity, the change of the real wages, and the change of the employment using a 3-variables panel vector autoregression method. Among the results of an empirical analysis, it is noteworthy that the positive impact of wage growth on labor productivity growth is much greater and significant than that of the reverse, which can imply the possibility of a restored virtuous circle between wages and productivity through that channel. However, it is also noteworthy that employment responds negatively to changes in wages and productivity, which can be ascribed to the rapid application of automation in the production process. The government should implement a policy supporting the creation of decent jobs in new industries to minimize the negative externalities of workforce redundancy. We adopt a System GMM method to investigate the determinants of the Korean manufacturing labor productivity. The result also show that the hourly wage is positively related to the labor productivity.
Does Labor Market Flexibility Stabilize an Economy?

본 논문에서는 노동시장유연화와 관련된 두 행태방정식, 즉, 고용확장함수와실질임금 필립스 커브를 추정한다. 추정결과는 대안정기(Great Moderation) 동안 노동축장이 약화되지 않았고, 고용유연화가 그 당시 거시경제 변수들을 안정화하는데 기여하지 않았음을 보여준다. 반면, 실질임금 필립스 커브 추정결과는 1984년 이후 실질임금이 더 유연하게 변동하였음을 보여준다. 이와 같은 결과는 고용유연화가 거시경제를 불안정하게 만들고 실질임금유연화는 안정화시킬 수 있다는 것을 말해주는 것이며, 궁극적으로는 고용보호법안을 약화시키는것이 거시경제충격에 대한 중요 완충장치라는 주장에 대해 의문을 제기하는 것이다. 구조적 벡터자기회귀(SVAR) 분석을 통해 고용유연화로 인한 노동시장의불안정성이 생산물시장까지 영향을 주는 것을 살펴보았고, 실질임금유연화가거시경제를 안정화시키는 것은 실질임금의 변화가 일종의 자동안정화 기능을하고 있기 때문임을 살펴보았다. I estimate two behavioral functions relating to labor market flexibility, the employment expansion function and the real wage Phillips curve. Results show that labor hoarding was not weakened during the Great Moderation, suggesting that employment flexibility did not play a major role in stabilizing the macroeconomy during that period. On the other hand, estimation of the real wage Phillips curve indicates that real wages have become more flexible since 1984. These results suggest that employment flexibility destabilizes an economy whereas real wage flexibility stabilizes it, bringing into question the views which propose weakening employment protections as an important remedy mitigating macroeconomic shock. Structural VAR analysis suggests that instability in the labor market caused by employment flexibility is extended to instability in the goods market. As to the source of the stabilizing force caused by real wage flexibility, it suggests that variation in real wage functions as an automatic stabilizer.
