The processing of black tea in Indonesia generally consists of the ortodox rotarvane and CTC (Crushing, Tearing and Curling) system. However, recently CTC system in tea processing is the most successful and most popular system in Indonesia including in Kertowono Plantation, East Java, Indonesia. Public, especialy buyer, needs to know the processing of black tea using CTC system is conducted in order to produce specific and good quality black tea. The processing of black tea by using CTC system in Kertowono plantation is started from picking, receiving, whitering, milling, fermenting, driying, sorting, packing and storage. CTC system does not apply wet sorting, and the milling process is carried out through three steps, namely tearing, pressing and rolling to produce more refined tea powder. Kertowono plantation maintains the processing of black tea by CTC system since it is more efficient and effective than that by ortodox rotarvene system; the enzymatic oxidation of polifenol compound is more, so the produced black tea is more perfect
The Effects of Shopping Values on Mainland Chinese Tourists` Shopping Satisfaction in South Korea

It is crucial to investigate factors affecting mainland Chinese tourists’ shopping satisfaction, considering their great contribution to tourism shopping income in South Korea. Based on previous studies, shopping satisfaction is determined by utilitarian value and hedonic value and each of the value has a formative second-order construct values. Additionally, according to some former studies, factors affecting shopping satisfaction are different depending on gender. Thus, the objective of this study is to examine the gender difference in the context of effects of shopping values on shopping satisfaction of mainland Chinese tourists who have a shopping experience in Seoul, South Korea. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed at popular tourism shopping sites in Seoul, South Korea. The results of this study show that the sources of shopping satisfaction of female mainland Chinese tourists are values of product offerings, product information, convenience, adventure, gratification, and socialization; those of male are values of product offerings, gratification, and socialization. This study is expected to contribute to the current tourism shopping literature and provide valuable information to retailers in South Korea.

Background: Vitiligo is a common acquired pigmentary disease caused by destruction of epidermal melanocytes in underlying autoimmune response. Few studies have been focused on the role of chemokines in non-segmental vitiligo (NSV) concomitant with autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD) and alopecia areata (AA). Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the best serum biomarker for predictive role in the progression of vitiligo and to evaluate the influence of AA and/or AITD on vitiligo by using the biomarker. Methods: This prospective cohort study recruited 45 NSV patients: 14 without either AITD or AA, 12 with AITD, 11 with AA, and 8 with both AITD and AA. Serum levels of CXCL1, CXCL8, CXCL9, CXCL10, CXCL12, CXCL13, and CXCL16 were analyzed by ELISA. CXCR3 mRNA expression was detected on PBMCs by RT-PCR. Improvement was evaluated using repigmentation scales. Results: Serum CXCL10 levels, along with the expression of CXCR3 mRNA were higher in NSV patients with AITD or AA alone than in those without AITD or AA. Moreover, serum CXCL10 levels, along with the expression of CXCR3 mRNA were higher in NSV patients with both AITD and AA than in those with AITD or AA alone. Poorer repigmentation was observed in NSV patients with both AA and AITD than in those with AA or AITD alone. Conclusion: CXCL10 could be a biomarker to predict the progression of NSV. Dermatologists should pay much attention to those NSV patients concomitant with AITD and/or AA, for comorbidity might lead to more active autoimmune reaction. (Ann Dermatol 31(4) 393∼402, 2019)

<P>Oxygen deprivation induces a range of cellular adaptive responses that enable to drive cancer progression. Here, we report that lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1) upregulates hypoxia responses by demethylating RACK1 protein, a component of hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) ubiquitination machinery, and consequently suppressing the oxygen-independent degradation of HIF-1 alpha. This ability of LSD1 is attenuated during prolonged hypoxia, with a decrease in the cellular level of flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD), a metabolic cofactor of LSD1, causing HIF-1 alpha downregulation in later stages of hypoxia. Exogenously provided FAD restores HIF-1 alpha stability, indicating a rate-limiting role for FAD in LSD1-mediated HIF-1 alpha regulation. Transcriptomic analyses of patient tissues show that the HIF-1 signature is highly correlated with the expression of LSD1 target genes as well as the enzymes of FAD biosynthetic pathway in triple-negative breast cancers, reflecting the significance of FAD-dependent LSD1 activity in cancer progression. Together, our findings provide a new insight into HIF-mediated hypoxia response regulation by coupling the FAD dependence of LSD1 activity to the regulation of HIF-1 alpha stability.</P>
