How Household Roles Influence Individuals’ Travel Mode Choice under Intra-household Interactions?

The household is usually an essential element for activity-based travel decision-making of individuals. From the perspective of household context, activities are often allocated to individuals based on their household roles, thereby affecting individuals’ travel behavior. By defining the household role using spatial-temporal constraints which are associated with individual activities and household activities, this paper investigates the travel mode choice of individuals considering the effect of different household roles. The descriptive statistics of the household roles and their corresponding travel mode choice are presented using the data from Kunming, China. The statistical results show that the modal splits between females and males perform a significant difference in the same household roles. Furthermore, the travel mode choice of females and males are estimated separately using multinomial logistic regression model. The results show that those who face more space-time constraints associated with household tasks are less willing to travel by car. While with the increase of commuting constraints, household heads, especially female-heads, tend to use car to meet the travel demands of household activity. Besides, individuals’ age, education level, the number of cars and bikes in household also have a significant impact on travel mode choices of individuals.

The fungal products dibenzodioxocinones promise a novel class of inhibitors against cholesterol ester transfer protein (CEPT). Knowledge as to their biosynthesis is scarce. In this report, we characterized four more dibenzodioxocinones, which along with a previously described member pestalotiollide B, delimit the dominant spectrum of secondary metabolites in P. microspora. Through mRNA-seq profiling in gα1Δ, a process that halts the production of the dibenzodioxocinones, a gene cluster harboring 21 genes including a polyketide synthase, designated as pks8, was defined. Disruption of genes in the cluster led to loss of the compounds, concluding the anticipated role in the biosynthesis of the chemicals. The biosynthetic route to dibenzodioxocinones was temporarily speculated. This study reveals the genetic basis underlying the biosynthesis of dibenzodioxocinone in fungi, and may facilitate the practice for yield improvement in the drug development arena.

A New Dactylella Species from Orbilia alba

A new Dactylella species, Dactylella alba was isolated from the ascospores of Orbilia alba collected in Wen- shan County, Yunnan Province, China. Conidiophores were either not branched or occasionally branched, bearing divergent sterigmata on the tip with single conidium on each. Conidia were elongated ellipsoids, 1-2 septate, mostly 1 septate. By combining the ITS sequence with morphological characteristics, a new anamorphic species is described and illustrated together with its teleomorph.
Improved Sliding Shapes for Instance Segmentation of Amodal 3D Object

State-of-art instance segmentation networks are successful at generating 2D segmentation mask for region proposals with highest classification score, yet 3D object segmentation task is limited to geocentric embedding or detector of Sliding Shapes. To this end, we propose an amodal 3D instance segmentation network called A3IS-CNN, which extends the detector of Deep Sliding Shapes to amodal 3D instance segmentation by adding a new branch of 3D ConvNet called A3IS-branch. The A3IS-branch which takes 3D amodal ROI as input and 3D semantic instances as output is a fully convolution network(FCN) sharing convolutional layers with existing 3d RPN which takes 3D scene as input and 3D amodal proposals as output. For two branches share computation with each other, our 3D instance segmentation network adds only a small overhead of 0.25 fps to Deep Sliding Shapes, trading off accurate detection and point-to-point segmentation of instances. Experiments show that our 3D instance segmentation network achieves at least 10% to 50% improvement over the state-of-art network in running time, and outperforms the state-of-art 3D detectors by at least 16.1 AP.
Hsa_Circ_0001947/MiR-661/DOK7 Axis Restrains Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Development

Hsa_circ_0001947 is associated with multiple cancers, but its function in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is ambiguous and needs further research. The targeting relationship among circ_0001947, miR-661, and downstream of tyrosine kinase 7 (DOK7) was predicted by database and further verified by dual-luciferase reporter assay, while their expressions in cancer tissues and cells were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). After transfection, cell biological behaviors and expressions of miRNAs, miR-661 and DOK7 were determined by cell function experiments and qRT-PCR, respectively. Circ_0001947 was low-expressed in NSCLC tissues and cells. Circ_0001947 knockdown intensified cell viability and proliferation, induced cell cycle arrest at S phase, suppressed apoptosis and evidently enhanced miR-510, miR-587, miR-661 and miR-942 levels, while circ_0001947 overexpression did the opposite. MiR-661 was a target gene of circ_0001947 that participated in the regulation of circ_0001947 on cell biological behaviors. Furthermore, DOK7, the target gene of miR-661, partly participated in the regulation of miR-661 on cell viability. Hsa_circ_0001947 acts as a sponge of miR-661 to repress NSCLC development by elevating the expression of DOK7.

Optimizing light conditions is critical for plant growth and seedling production in greenhouse, especially in seasons when the sunlight is insuffi cient. In the present study, tomato ( Solanum Lycopersicum cv. Fenbeibei) seedlings were grown at two levels of supplementary light duration of 6 h·d − 1 (short) (07:00–10:00 and 15:00–18:00) or 12 h·d − 1 (long) (04:00–10:00 and 15:00–21:00) provided by white light-emitting diodes (LEDs, white long and white short, WL and WS) or combinations of white and blue LEDs (white & blue long and white & blue short, WBL and WBS) with same supplementary daily light integral (at 5.5 mol m − 2 d − 1 ) after sowing, and tomato seedlings grown under sunlight only were set as the control. The per centages of light intensity provided by white and blue LEDs under the WB treatments were 85% and 15%, respectively. The results indicated that tomato seedlings grown under WBL treatment exhibited the lowest plant height and shortest hypocotyl length, which was decreased by 34.6% and 41.8%, respectively, compared with the control. The chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, and total chlorophyll contents of tomato seedlings grown under WBL were signifi cant higher than those under other treat ments. The root fresh weight, root dry weight, and the stem fi rmness of the greenhouse-grown tomato seedlings under WBL were increased by 21.5%, 41.2%, and 38.6%, compared with those grown under WBS, respectively. The sucrose content of tomato seedlings under WBL was increased by 60.4%, compared with that under WL. In conclusion, 12 h·d − 1 supplementary light provided by combinations of white and blue LEDs led to compact morphological characteristics, superior mechanical properties, and satisfactory growth performance. Our fi ndings provide an available lighting strategy to obtain the desired morphological and quality properties of tomato seedlings grown in the seasons with insuffi cient light.
